A dwarf of Durin’s Folk, b.TA 2751, d. TA 2799. Son of Thrain II. He was the younger brother of Thorin Oakenshield. Their younger sister was Dís.

Frerin escaped the Sack of Erebor in TA 2770 but was later slain in Battle of Azanulbizar TA 2799.
