The mill of Hobbiton that stood on the north banks of the Water and was originally run by the old Sandyman.

Later his son Ted Sandyman sold the mill to Lotho Sackville-Baggins and fell under his influence. At this point Saruman already had a firm hold over the Shire and also Lotho.

During the War of the Ring, Lotho then first misused the mill and later destroyed it entirely.
