The first name, meaning 'Wooden Whale', of the mighty ship built for Aldarion in the shipyards of Rómenna. She was later called Hirilondë, the 'Haven-finder'.

From the second voyage on, her prow was no longer adorned with the traditional bough of oiolairë, but with the image of an eagle with golden beak and jewelled eyes, a gift to Aldarion from his friend Círdan.
