Just another one of my zany ideas...

Welcome to the Thread Theme Song File and Song Dedication Booth!!! :wave:

You can use this thread to post and share the titles, lyrics, or links of certain songs for any of the following purposes:

a) You've thought of a good "theme song" for the thread you're participating in. (either the entire story of the thread itself, or just a certain scene or moment).
b) You've thought of a "theme song" for your character that describes his/her personality. :naughty:
c) You'd like to "dedicate" a certain song from one of your characters to another player's character. :heart:

1) No rude or tasteless dedications, please.
2) Make sure to include the name of the artist or writer (of the song) to give credit where there is due. If the song is your own of creation, give yourself proper credit as well!

This is really funny... Recently Abraon was smitten with Josh Groban and the more she listened to his *Closer* CD the more she saw ties to our characters Alagos (Abraon's character) and Goldie (my character) in the RPG Dark Elf, owned by Newra. So much so that she would MSN me the lyrics and we'd just sit there in awe... And then I HAD to buy the CD for myself.

It seemed as though Josh had read the thread and then written the songs, although we know that isn't even close to the truth, but we included the lyrics to several of his songs in several of our posts. Here they are.


These first few quotes are when Goldie left the company because she felt she was a burden to them and only a reminder to Alagos of his heartbreaking past. This is Alagos a while after he found out she had left:

A silent cry broke through his heart and he closed his eyes.

When Alagos was hit with a poison Orc arrow and Goldie thought he was dead, these words seemed to fit perfectly:

“You are NOT going to die!” She declared, but she could feel the life draining out of his body. Helpless, she clutched him to her. Tears mixed with the oncoming rain.

Aha as lame as it sounds i think May it be by Enya ( a lord of the rings song lol ) suits Melima The darkness if her father not loving her and this like her journey through life and how there is somethign that keeps her happy through it all.

Niere, I thought this song would be perfect for Caerwyn. It's one of my favorites. It's pretty cheesy and very modern and bubblegum pop-y, but the lyrics are really sweet and I think they fit her. :love: Hearing this song just reminds me of her.

:disco: This is so much fun! Awesome idea, CityofAngel!

This is for my sister's (Vende's) RP characters, Pippin (of The War of the Ring) and Eldacar (of The Southern Line). Pippin's always been a great friend (a little on the weird side, but great none-the-less ), and he recently kicked some tail at Isenguard so the song is somewhat fitting. And Eldacar just needs a little confidence- he'd be a wonderful king if he'd just relax!

wow. I'm flattered, Niere/Caerwyn. ^-^ It's really ironic about how we listen to the same kinds of music...I have a lot of enya and I recently got a CD of Loreena McKennit Live in Paris in Toronto...^-^ Anyway, I'm also a classical buff, and this theme from the first movement of the Sibelius Violin Concerto is for CAerwyn, because it shows really well her loneliness, but it's also a very strong melody. I promised myself weeks ago that I would find a song for CityofAngel's character Sidhon in "Sons of the Woodland King"... and now I have! Surfing through lyrics, this just reminded me of Sidhon sitting quiet in the library with his books.

This is a song by myself, really it is suppose to be a poem, but there is a little tune. Just a little poem for Arrie, my character.

Took me ages to find this translation. It's an Arabic song performed by Lebanese singer Nawal al Zhougbi. The name is Tool Omri, or All My Life. Mind that I copied it from a site, and because I am busy I didn't look at the translation very well, but it will do. This is what Celemirë (my char) thinks of Finde (another char that belongs to Ireth_elfmaiden) in my RPG called "Amorith: Return to Thranduil".

Well, since I always find strong parallels between songs I like and either given situations or characters of mine, I'll post the one that's closest to my heart.

This song suits [/b]Ilmare[b] and [/b]Paldor[b] from the thread in TR called 'It all began at the White City Fair...'

Recently, Ilmare and Paldor, who had been separated for seven years, found each other again. One of Ilmare's key fears when she sees him again is, does love yet remain between us? The answer was and is a resounding yes.

So, in honor of GwennethSindalúnë, Paldor's writer, and in honor of the characters we both love so much, here is:

I have another from Gwanunig to Davina in the thread "The Captives" I think this one is better than the other though. It's "All I ask of you" from The Phantom of the Opera. It's by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Charles Hart, and Richard Stilgoe. The only thing I did was change the names from Christine to Davina and Raoul to Gwanunig. The setting, is my latest post.

I didn't want my post to be uber-long, plus this is a whole new dedication. The theme of Arwen_Undomiel22's character Levi and my character Sila. It isn't broken up girl/boy like I have it...but this just seems right.
Levi is bold and Sila is italic. Together they are bold italic.
