Hey All Ye Artemis Fowl Fans!
Here is where you ALL get to come fourth and tell

1) how you came to read the book? (me: I picked it up at the library )

2) who is ur favorite charactor? (Artemis ALL THE WAY..but Holly Short is cool...and so is Butler)

3) and what is ur favorite book out of the four? (Hmm I would have to say either the second one or the third one...Have not read the fourth one though)

*Please* do not post spoilers about the fourth one.....YET

I've read the first three and my favorite character would proably have the be Butler.

I dunno why I picked up the first book but I did and they were great;P

Wait. There's a fourth one? Please tell me the title of it. If somebody already posted it then I'm sorry but I'm just very tired.

The reason why I started reading the books is because of my French teacher from last year. She knows I love reading so she suggested to read the books. But before I judged the book my it's cover and thought it was boring and not worth wild. Apparently I was wrong.

My favourite character would be Artemis and Foaly...did I spell his name right? So my favourite book would be the second one or the third but not so much the first.

1) Knowing me I either picked it up in one of my frees in the liabary, or stole it off Tilpot. ^^ That's how I get started on most books.

2) Holly and Foaly. 'Specially Foaly.

3) Didn't know there was a fourth one either, but the first one. I dunno, I just thought that one was the best.

I LOVE those books! I'm reading The Eternity Code for the second time.

1) I read them all borrowing from our school library.

2) Hmm...That's hard. I'd narrow it down to Juliet, Holly and Foaly. They're all cool.

3) Yikes! That's another hard one. I think I liked the first one best...I've read it 3 times.

Yeah..there is a fourth one now..called "The Opal Deception"
I have not read it yet...its on hold though! I cannot wait!
here is a little review on it..

"Criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl is back... and so is his brilliant and dangerous enemy, Opal Koboi. At the start of The Opal Deception, Artemis has no memory of the fairy people and has returned to his unlawful ways. In Berlin, he is preparing to steal a famous Impressionist painting from a German bank. He doesn't know that his old rival, Opal, has escaped from prison by cloning herself. She's left her double behind in jail and, now free, is exacting her revenge on all those who put her there, including Artemis.

Meanwhile in the lower elements, Captain Holly Short of the LEPrechon fairy police is framed for a heinous crime, yet she manages to elude her captors and escape to the surface to rescue Artemis. But before Holly and Artemis can get away, Opal arrives and abducts them both, forcing Artemis to go head to head with an enemy who plans on destroying the fairy world forever."

Ooooh, the fourth book sounds cool! Has anyone read "The Wish List," also by Eion Colfer? That's also a very, very good book.

1. My dad bought it for me. I was skeptical how a book with a holographic cover would interest me at first, but I read, and I was hooked.

2. My fave is Foaly. Holly's cool too.

3. The third one!

What colour is the new fourth book? I haven't seen it yet (I only heard of it yesterday) and I want to know. Is it holographic blue?

I have read the Artemis Fowl books!!!

1) I actually first read it because I saw it in the library because of the holographic cover I picked it up and had a look! Shiny!!!!

2) Hmmm...that's a tough one. I would have to say Holly Short because she isn't afraid to break laws and stuff to save her friends!

3) Hmmmm I think I enjoyed the Arctic Incident the best although the Eternity Code came a close second.

Just some quick questions:
1) have any of you read the slim book of Artemis Fowl called the Seventh Dwarf

2) Have any of you read 'the Supernaturlists' also by Eoin Colfer? If not get hold of a copy! It's great!!!!!

I really like the books! It's very cool that the 4th one's come out.

The Eternity Code had a RED cover for me, not blue. I was waiting for a blue book, it would have looked nice.

I agree with you, MerryandPip. But it makes you to read more which is a good thing.

Abots, the third one is like this electric blue and it looks really good but I've never seen a red one before.

mybe here you get in in the red colour, cause mine is definately red. Shame. Red looks nice, but blue would have been better.

Hmm, I haven't read them in a while but...
1) I bought it because of the cover (I had a few b-day bucks to spend).
2)Favorite character? Uh, Foally, Short, Artemis, but especially the dwarf. What was his name, Digg or Diggums? Something like that.
3)My favorite is all three, and once I read the fourth one, it will be all four!

I have a question has any one read Colfeir's other book, the one about Heaven and Hell and the girl has to help the old man? Isn't it called the Wish List? Personally, I thought it was awesome.
ABOT, red cover? That has to have looked awesome.

Red was nice. Blue would have been better.

I read the Wish List!! It was really very good! It was funny and exiting and everything at the same time. I read it 2 years ago, I can't remember much.

Yeah. Actually I have.
I heard that it is being filmed in Ireland (started it like 2002)
and that Cameron Diaz is going to play Holly Short.
Personally I think it should be either Rachel Leigh Cook or Kirsten Dunst.

i love the Artemis Fowl books (er, before the 4th book that is)
i read the 1st a few years ago and got excited each time i found out there was a new one.
i always look at this thread and think i''ve already posted, today i actually will post

1) my cousin told me it was a good book and said that i should read it. once i brought it i found out he hadnt actually read it
2) Artemis or Foaly. i love them both. yay for the geniuses!

3) the second is my favorite. though i do love that artemis is so much eviler in the first. i probably say the second because of character developement. and its nice reading "Sig Saucer" and knowing what they are talking about straight away

I chose it because I liked the cover (I always choose books by the cover and the last phrase.).
My favourite characters are Artemis (:love and Foaly. I think the best one is the Eternity Code, even if I like all the 4 books. I also read the Wish List and the Supernaturalists(fantastic !!!!), but I don't know about this 'the seventh dwarf'. I'll try to find it.

About covers, I have an English edition of the Opal Deception and it is blue, but in Italian (I am Italian) it is green (and shiny).

I don't know why the Italian translation for 'the Supernaturalists' is 'the blue predators'. It's a boring title.
