Athrad swollowed and stared down from the wall. Orcs as far as the eye could see swarmed around the once radiant city, armed with swords, arrows, catapults and more. He shuddered.
Suddenly there came a sharp tap to his shoulder and he whisked around to see another man loaded full with shields.
"Take one!" The man urged, shoving one of the shields into Athrad's hands and scurrying off to another.
Why would he possibly need a shield? With the weapons the enemy bore, shields would be no use at all. The answer came quickly. The catapults sprang forward and from them, a rain of Gondorian heads pelted down. Athrad gave a disgusted cry and hurriedly raised his protective roof up over his head. Eight heads crushed against his shield before it finally fell quiet again.
Uncertainty. He lowered the shield then took a large stumble backwards. The heads wobbled on the ground, blood spritzing, eyes buldging, the smell of decay sickening. He gagged, lurching forward a build and luckily resisted the urge to upbring the day's earlier meal. He took another step backwards but was caught with a clap on the shoulder. "Stay strong. Go back to your place." He nodded softly and resumed his postion, eyes scanning the army before befalling on a moving figure. It moved through the crowds freely but towards the city. As it got closer, Athrad finally realzed what it was. A horse. Why were the orcs allowing it to keep moving? Surely they would naturally have slaughtered the poor creature so why allow it to continue? As it continued moving along -frightfully- he noticed the beast's luggage and gave another cry. "The Captain Faramir!" he called to the others. "It is the Captain Faramir approaching. Quick, someone open the gates below."
Another call sounded from a stronger voice. "Open the gates!"
Ever so slightly the gates slide open and hurriedly a bundle of soldiers crept out and pulled the terrified animal in then closed the gate again.
Gandalf dropped his jaw then turned to Erinall. "I will return. Hold strong and hope for the best." The wizard then moved from the leader's side and scampered off. Pippin followed closely, nicely clad in Gondorian fashion. "What is it? Gandalf?" The wizard didn't answer him but instead kept going, hatsening his pace to an almost run. Before long the two came to the citadol. The small bundle of soldiers plus one carried Faramir passed the tree then set him down as the Steward Denethor came sprinting from his halls.
"Faramir, my son!" he cried, stooping over the pale form. The arrow had by then been plucked out but the poison reamained, raking Faramir of life. "Awaken, my son. Oh say not that he has fallen."
Pippin halted. Eyes widened and jaw dropped. He didn't understand any of this anymore. As the grieving stweard trudged away from his son, the small halfling ran up to the body and knelt. The familiar face of the man who had treated him so kindly while others disregarded him, was now pale. Was he really dead? Though the poison was strong, perhaps Faramir was stronger. He placed his gloved hand on Faramir's forehead then bent close for the slightest signs of breath. "He's alive!" he called suddenly. "He's alive my Lord!"
"He is fallen!" Denethor growled loudly, coming to the edge of the wall and staring frightfully down. The city would fall.

The progress of the siege seemed slow, but at least it was progress. The heads had been Azugs favorite sight yet,and everything just got better. The Siege towers wheeled closer and closer to the looming walls, and all the orcs, including Azug, had gotten there bows and were bombarding the city with volley after volley of arrows. Trolls screamed but most of them were manning the various siege weapons that littered the field. Arrows twanged, catapults fired, orcs chanted and hooted, the sounds of battle was what an orc lived for,and this orc anwsered with his own hoots, chants, and bow twangs. As the battle unfolded, the first of the towers hit the wall, and orcs, including Azug, made there way up to climb onto the wall

Erinall looked to the other wall and was surprised that a Siege Tower managed to land. Erinall pondered whether or not Gandalf could hold the wall with the soldiers there. Another Siege Tower landed on the wall that Erinall was posted on. He had too make a decision, leave the wall defenseless and help Gandalf or stay and maybe have Gandalf die. He came to a resolution after much thought of the well-being of his men. He would take Evarael, Irinor, and Athrad and leave his Rangers here with the Gondorians. " Evarael, Athrad, Irinor, come we shall aid Gandalf , all other rangers stay here and protect the wall we shall return when the other wall is cleansed of orcs!" They ran down the cobble streets of Minas Tirith in a rush to the other wall. The got to the stairs climbing up to the wall when only one thing that could make this event worse happened, the scream of one of the Nazgul cut through the air like a knife trough butter. Many men dropped to their knees covering their ears and hoping that Mithandir could fend off the Nazgul , although not the Witch-King but still very powerful. It flew over them swooping down upon the trebuchet that was there and ripped it from the hinges that attached it to the ground. A rock flew from a Orcish Catapult in the fields breaking crushing men stationed there on the wall. Yet after all this the bombardment still went on. Another rock was launched over the walls over Minas Tirith crushing houses of stone there and as the debris fell to the ground crushing a group of Militia that ran to enforce the wall. After all this Gandalf fought on. More orcs flooded onto the wall by the ways of the siege tower. Erinall finally made it to the wall and started to slash his way to Gandalf. Pippin clutched his own sword and was hacking at the orcs himself. Erinall looked towards the end of a wall where he saw an Orc Berserker hacking away at the Gondorians there. The Orc looked to the way of Erinall and Evarael and ran upon them. He attempted to leap upon Evarael but Erinall had swatted him away. " You shall pay for that fool"snarled the Orc "Prepare to die foul creature"said Erinall as he drew his sword in preparation with a dual with the Orc. The part of the wall they were on was practically deserted and so they would have no interference from others. Erinall knew this would be a fair duel. The orc was 5"3 and Erinall was 6"0 ,, but size did not matter, skill would.

********************
Evarael could barely lift the Gondorian Longsword she was equipped with and knew she could not kill with it. She saw the dead body of a soldier clutching a fairly long shortsword ,maybe 12 inches in length. She picked it up and knew this would suit her better than the heavy sword she could not use.As she sheathed the sword she prayed to Illuvatar as she took the newly acquired shortsword from the man and started to hack away at the Orcs. She didnt want to die but knew she would find no help. Evarael ran to Irinor and started to fight along side him. Evarael withdrew her shield and blocked the attacks of the endless orc assualt. She looked around trying to find Erinall but could not see him. Little did she know he was in a very risky duel with an orc bred for war.

( Irinor fight along side Evarael for now , and Azug our duel will be so cool.....

Azug climbed the ladder that ran through the siege tower to its top. As he reached the top a Nazgul screach pierced through the noise overhaed. Azug plugged his ears, the screach of a nazgul even hurt the orcs ears, and it had suprised him. He unplugged his ears and finnished getting on the wall. He was greeted by a gondorian soldier. Azug swung his sword and bashed in the head of the gondorian, then through him off the wall. A arrow nicked his ear. It stung, but added to the Adrenilan. Another gondorian swung at him,but azug grabbed the gondorians hand and stabbed him in the chest.

As the battle unfolded it was clear the orcs were gaining the wall, but there was still much fighting to do and with folks like the wizard about you could never be to sure. As he made his way about the wall, hewwing the gondorians already dead for the fun of it,he spotted the wizard. He loaded his bow and shot right ahead of the wizard, who had been moving quickly on his horse and a straight aim would miss. He fired and expected the arrow to pierce gandalf, but somebody gandalfs name from behind, and the arrow whizzed pass shadowax's
nose. As he prepared to reload,a gondorian soldier swung at him,and sliced of the ear that the other knicked. That hurt more but the gondorian soldier, who was about to finnish off Azug, was hit by a arrow and fell of the wall.

At that moment Azug picked up a chant coming clear from the orcs down below,"GROND GROND GROND".

(wow grond sooner than i expected , oh well)

An arrow hit the Orc Beserker attempting to kill Erinall. Erinall ran past the body as he heard the Orc chants of "Grond" Then a ladder hit the wall and an Orc jumped up. Erinalll stabbed the orc in the chest and pushed the ladder of the wall as he tried to get past the Fray and to the courtyard. An arrow whined past his ear as t hit an orc behind him. Erinall finally made in sight of Irinor and Evarael. Erinall withdrew his bow and began to fire upon the orcs, every now and again firing into the Pelennor and into the Orcs still on the Field. Erinall could see Grond moving forward towards the gate. The stench of death loomed in the air. None could get past it. Erinal ran to Evarael and Irinor, " Hurry we must get to the gate we will be needed there" They ran once again down the Streets of Minas Tirith to the Courtyard to help protect what little hope they had left. Erinall's Ranger Company were already there. Grond reached the gate. It swung foward once. The gate withstood the hit and remained closed. Grond hit it once again and again the gate withstood the hit. Then came the time where the gate could no longer take the pressure. Grond hit the gate a third time. The Gtae buckled under pressure. THe Wolfhead of Grond broke through the gate and the soldiers in the courtayrd could see the fire in its mouth. The gates swung open and two heavily armored Olog-Hai charged in. " Fire!!" yelled Erinall and the Troll recieved many arrows in its face. The other Troll sprang foward in a firey rage and swung with it's massive club at the archers there. Five archers flew off the ground with the Troll's mighty swing and hit the wall. Orcs flooded in past the gate killing any in sight. The mne in the courtyard fought hard but were being slowly but surely overrun. Men on the walls still looked towards Rohan for any sight of the Rohirrim.

Azug ran across the wall, striking down all gondorians within arms reach. He ran toward one of the gatehouses. As he approached, the noise of the gate crashing took his attention, and he seen the trolls entering the courtyard. When he arrived at the gatehouse,a gondorian shot a arrow from the window above. The arrow flew by Azugs head, but missed.
Azug bashed open the door to the gatehouse and two gondorians met him. He took his mace in one hand and sword in the other and killed them both.

He Climbed the stairs and met the archer, who was overwhelmed with fear and was no challenge at all. From the gate house watchtower he shot a arrow or two down amongst the gondorians in the courtyard.

As he loaded his third arrow a whistling sound caught his attention. The sound got louder and louder then,CRASH.
A catapult shot hit the gatehouse and it came tumbling to the ground, with Azug in it.

((-ooc- sorry for being gone so long, oye.))

"Grond! Grond! Grond!"
Shadowfax halted, his ears pricked backwards and his hooves stumbling nerviously.
"Grond! Grond! Grond!"
Gandalf's eyes widened a bit and his fingers tightened around his staff. He knew what it was. And forcibly he urged Shadowfax to whirl around and gallop hastily towards the gate as it wouldn't be long before Grond broke through. Cahnces of being overrun would increase plenty.
"Grond! Grond! Grond!"
The first shudder slammed into the gate as the wizard pulled up next to the band of anxious soldiers. "Stand your ground!" he cried aloud as another hit by Grond shattered partly through the gate.
Another hit and the gate broke completely. The fiery nose of Grond stared coldly at him and Shadowfax twitched. To his suprise and all those around him, trolls. Armoured trolls flung out, their weapons crushing the skulls of any soldiers who stood in range.
Athrad shuddered, being somewhat near the back -not by choice. He had stumbled across here actually and was much convicted by another to stay. 'We will need all the help we can find.' he had said.
The first few orcs that had came in through the gate had been quickly slaughtered but now, more and more came through along with the two trolls.
One troll was felled but the other only increased in his strength it seemed. And after a bit of fighting in this spot, he slaughtered and decapitated his way further into the city.
Athrad met swords with an orc and stared lightly into its evil eyes. The orc barred his decaying needle pointed teeth then lifted his sowrd for a swing. Athrad caught it and struck the orc a quick and sneaky blow on the neck. The orc stood for a moment, snarling silently then all at once, his head sunk backward and the body fell.
The process was continued by many but as more and more soldiers were cut down, many of the soldiers (including Athrad) fled father into the invaded city as to make a better attack.

( Heres the Rohirrim scene!!!!!)

One more Troll came through the gate crushing all in its path. Its enraged eyes looked into Evarael's. She became stunned and could not move. The troll started a charge towards her. Evarael still stood there. The troll got closer, and as it brought up it's club to strike an arrow flew out of the routing soldiers. Erinall had come to save Evarael. The troll roared out in pain as the arrow hit its club hand. The troll dropped its club.It looked towards the way of Erinall and started to charge him. Erinall loosed another arrow hitting its shoulder. He shot at the Troll once again this time hitting the troll between the eyes. Erinall jumped back as the troll fell to the ground. Erinall walked up to Evarael, " Are you alright ?"asked Erinall as his face became a rosery red. She looke d back at him, " Im not hurt dont worry"said Evarael. " Well then Evarael its too dangerous for you to fight here anymore, as your Captain I give you orders to retreat back to the Citadel!" said Erinall in a worried tone. " But....!?!?!"said Evarael. " No , get back to the Citadel now" said Erinall " Yes sir......." said Evarael as she started to run back up the street to the Citadel. Orcs still flodded in past the gate. Erinall reached for a arrow in his quiver but none were left, Erinall sighed as he knew he would have to find more arrows on the way. An hour had past and the Soldiers of Gondor were forced to retreat towards the second level. The Orcs tryed to get past the 2nd Level Gate with a battering ram but the Godnorians pushed back on it. Erinall looked at the struggling Soldiers in pity for all of them including himself. He listened closely and he heard the Blowing of Horns, but they were no orcs horns........ tHE Rohirrim had come at last.

*************************************************
( I guess Im temping for thw whole Rohirim )

The horse scrambled up the small hill that looked over the Pelennor. The Riders could see the death and destruction. Theodon, Eomer and Gamling rode their horses to the front. All listened and the horns grew silent as Theodon began to bark our the orders.
Theodon: Eomer, take your Eored down the left flank.
Eomer: Flank Ready.
Theodon: Gamling, follow the King's banner down the center. Grimbold, take your company right after you pass the wall. Forth, and fear no darkness!
Theodon: Arise, Arise, Riders of Théoden! Spears shall be shaken, shields shall be splintered, a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Ride now! Ride now! Ride! Ride for ruin, and the world's ending! Death!
The Rohirrim scream out " Death!!!" as the charge begins.
Theodon: Forth Eorlingas!!
The horns sound and the Rohirrim start the charge toward the Orcs. The Orcs fire upon the Riders as they ride forth to Minas Tirith. Many can be seen dieing. The Rohirrim break upon the flanks of the Orcs crushing all with their hooves and spears. The Rohirrim still plow through the enemy with such force thaht none can withstand them. All seems well and Victory is but a hands reach away..............

Azug begin to awake. His fall had left him bruised. He had the luck of falling on a dead troll, the troll having nothing but a helmet on and he landed on the trolls stomach. He shook his head and took a drink of his orc draught when a voice ordered him" Get up, you lazy maggot,it is not over yet". There above Azug stood a orcish leader, with a whip in one hand and the other a sword.

Azug had awoken right after the gondorians had retreated, and the leader thought this was on purpose. He knew he had to redeem himself. Just then a horn was heard over the hill to the north of town. Azug, along with many of the orcs in the courtyard, went to investigate. "The Harad shouldn't be coming from the north" thought Azug. As he approached the gate, the horn was heard again. There he seen them. The Horsemen were on top of the hill, but they could see only the sillhoetes because the sunlight was rolling up the clouds behind. This sight struck fear in the hearts of some orcs, and hate others. At that moment the Witch king pushed off the wall on the second level and flew toward the rohirhim. Azug made his way toward the riders as well, eager to redeem himself.

With the coming of the Rohirrim and a new-found motivation came upon the Soldiers, the Contents of Minas Tirith spilled out of the City. Erinall mounted his horse and picked up arrows and a lance from the armory. He rode out of the cigty and upon the Pelennor eager to get into the heat of the battle. Orc bodies laid everywhere and the stench was unbearable. Yet Erinall knew this was their time , their time to actually turn the tides against Mordor. Many Orcs met the tip of Erinall's lance. Erinall then saw in front of him a Heavily Armored Haradrim Captain. Erinall charged the Captain and the lance shattered as it hit the Haradrim Captain's amor. Erinall drew his sword and beheaded the Captain. Chaos was everywhere as Erinall rode on. The blowing of Horns was heard again. Erinall looked towards the horizon and saw that the horns were no Rohirrim Horns but Oliphaunts charging towards them. Erinall halted his horse and picked up a spear. He could hear Theodon calling to his soldiers to reform the line. The Rohirim Horns were sounded once again as they attacked the Oliphaunts. Erinall pointed his spear forward and arched his back as to try and catch up with the Rohirrim. He urged his horse to go faster as he saw the Oliphaunts easily demolishing the Riders of Rohan. Erinall finally reached the Riders as they struggled to bring down the Mumaks. Erinall narrowly dodged a falling rider and mumak. Erinall threw his spear at an Oliphaunt and drew out his bow and began to fire upon the creature. As the bodies of their dead foes and allies began to pile up on the Pelennor it made it increasingly difficult to ride through. Erinall thought to himself " how can we win now many orcs still linger upon the field and our forces dwindle with every passing of time." Erinall once again spent his last arrows and drew his sword. He would rather die before he saw the city fall.

((Sorry about these absenses, I am having somewhat of a hard time getting onto my computer and logging onto the internet))

Gripping a broken snatch of the wall and pulling himself towards the edge, Athrad peered out towards the sounding of horns. Horses! Thousands of horses, charging and winning the fields. At last, the Rohirrim had come! A bloodied smile creased his lips and in a few found strength he bound off towards the safe areas of the stabls where even there though, the horses were held in panic and fright. His own horse having died within the retreat from Osgiliath, Athrad snatched the reigns of another horse. A young, fiery steed with eyes wide and flaring nostrils. He climbed atop the saddle and sent a flicking to the reigns. Energetic and impatient, the horse galloped off and through the gates, following a few others. The wind spitzed heavily against the charging forms as they smote down any orc withing arms reach. Victory was close! Victory was possible! But within this new found enthusiasm, new horns sounded. Deeper and different, and more terrifying soudning then those of the Rohirrim. Athrad pulled his horse to a stop and stared, jaw dropped, towards the large, menacing line of Oliphants. Even the energetic young horse with eyes a flame took a few steps back, uncertain and somewhat frightened.
Theoden King kindled his army into yet another reform of lines; this one more clumsy and disorganized. Hooves. Thousands of hooves pounded against the earth's floor as the horses and their riders shot off towards a suicidal charge to a deathly foe. Athrad pushed his horse forward and with a loud, triumphant whinny, the beast spat forward and charged alongside the rest. Many fell. Many around him were squished underneath the tremendious feet of the Mumuks whiel others were swatted like flies. He could feel the fear, it hung heavy like an evenning fog over the swamps. The stench was enough alone to gag a man, let alone a horse. This fear he felt and wishing not to let it in, he gave a loud and strong battle cry. The energy within rose again in not only him or his horse, but seemingly every other man and beast on the field. But still, there seemed no chance for a victory. The oliphants were too strong and too large while they were too small and weak.

Azug made it into the middle of the field. By then the Rohirhim had already charged through, and was making there way toward the Harad. What was left was Rohirhim that had lost there mounts, and the orcs that had not been trampled or routed. The Fight was just as fierce there as in the city. Death was everywhere. From the City came some gondorians, who had been left behind in the retreat, but they were headed to help the Rohirhim that was fighting the Haradrim Mumak Line. Azug would kill one of these when the chance arose, but Rohirhim were as thick as flys in a Wargs den. Most of the Rohirhim were locked in combat with other orcs. One was about to slay a orc Azug knew, named Kruthmug, When he jumped the man and slit his throat. This caught the attention of another dismounted rider, who ran toward Azug screaming. Azug pretended not to notice until the last minute the man swung forward and Azug jumped to the side and hit him on the head with his mace, then ran him through with his sword. At about this time the Witch king flew overhead, and swooped among the charging Rohirhim. The Witchkings fellbeast jerked the Rider around like and through him at the ground. The Rider looked doomed, but as Azug watched mumak fell right in the way, and all he could do was go on fighting.

Erinall saw the rider fall under his horse. The Nazgul perched over him like a vulture. Erinall tryed to ride to the rider but was knocked down by an Orc mounted on a warg. Erinall slid on to the ground as he watched his horse ride away back towards Minas Tirith. Erinall struggled to get up as the warg raced towards him. Erinall pulled out an arrow from the body of a felled orc and stringed it. The warg came closer then Erinall loosed the arrow killing the warg. The orc mounted on it scrambled onto the ground and began to run towards Erinall. Erinall picked up a shield and threw into the air as the orcs struck a blow at him. The shield shattered into pieces as Erinall pulled out his dagger and stuck the orc. He looked into its enraged eyes. Dark and cruel they were. The orc fell to the ground with a thud. Erinall gathered arrows from dead orcs and put them in his quiver. His sword altough valuable would do him no good against an oliphaunt. He whistled for his horse and waited a few minutes before it came back to him. Erinall looked back to the way of the Fallen Rider and he saw there a soldier defending him against a rider. The soldier had swun at the Nazgul. Her strike hit the neck of The Nazguls' fell beast and its head fell to the ground like a stone. The Witch-King rose out of the wreckage towering over the poor soldier. Erinall heard the clanking of armor nd saw that orcs were rushing to the aid of the nazgul. Erinall rode in front of the Orcs. "Get out the way or we shall kill you fool!!" snarled an Orc. " None shall interfear with them" said Erinall to the Orcs. " Then you shall" said the Orc once again. Erinall confronted the orcs with his sword slahing at all their heads. Erinall sighed as he was once again was knocked off his horse. He fought against the Oliphaunt that fell near the Soldier and the rider he was defending as to not get surrounded. Altough he wasnt near the Oliphaunt he could still see the Soldier fighting the Nazgul. AS he watched the Soldier Erinall could see a small thing crawling up behind the Witch-King. It stabbed the Witch-Kings' leg. THe Nazgul Lord felt to the ground and screamed in pain as it knelt there in front of the Soldier. Erinall could see the Soldier say something to the Nazgul Lord as the soldier pulled off the helmet on its face. It was a women. She brought up her sword and stabbed the Nazgul-Lord through the crown into the Nazgul's face. It screamed as it's body became crippled and fell to the ground lifeless. Erinall started once again to fight the Orcs. Then he saw what he didnt want to see. THe towering black sails came up to the Gondorian Harbor, Harlond. Yet what came out of the ships was even more amazing. Not evil men but a Man an Elf and a dwarf. They began to fight the Orcs waiting at Harlond. The from behind and trough the ships came Ghosts.
