The name by which Aragorn was known in Gondor when he served Ecthelion II (father of Denethor II). In 2980 'Thorongil' led a small fleet of Gondor in a surprise raid attack on Umbar, and destroyed many of the ships of the Corsairs.

Thorongil was Aragorn's name when he traveled to Gondor during the stewardship of Ecthelion. Thorongil was remembered in Gondor for the burning of the Corsair ships in night, and for the overthrow of the Captain of the Haven.

A simpost! Image Gando, since you answered first, it's your prerogative to decide if you'll start a new one, or let a lady take a turn. Image

An easy one: movie-Radagast uses a bunny sled to get around. What form of transport does he choose in the books?

Hírilorn is the name of a great beech tree that grew close to the gates of Menegroth. It is also the Sindarin word for "beech".

Although he is only mentioned in early writings, Tevildo is the most important cat in the legendarium, and the principal antagonist in The Tale of Tinúviel. Known as the Prince of Cats, he was a demonic servant of Melkor until he was replaced by Mairon.

Herucalmo, consort of Queen Tar-Vanimelde. He also usurped the scepter after her death as Tar-Anducal, keeping it from the rightful heir, their son Tar-Alcarin, for twenty years. He is excluded from and not listed as king in the official chronicles.

Sindarin for "brother", in the sense of fellowship ("bro" ), so nol is right and next.
