In the second set of exercises, I'm a little confused. What is the te in mellentë? And the t in hiruvalyet?

The ending -ntë means "they", so in this case: they loved.
The -t means "them" because it is a second ending, so hiruvalyet: you will find them.

Yassë engë lómë, anarties calali.
