Agreed. Tolkien said once that he did not care about aligning his story with the current understanding of biology. I read that in Letters.

Finrod was like his father in his fair face and golden hair

Unfinished Tales, pg. 240

I have never seen anything on Orodreth, Angrod, or Aegnor. But Orodreth’s daughter, Finduilas, was fair haired. We may suppose that it would have been natural in the above passage to also mention the hair color of Finrod’s brothers had they also been golden haired. Galadriel and Finrod were only worth pointing out if they were different. But I don’t know. The “Golden House of Finarfin” wouldn’t be that notable for golden hair if Finarfin, Galadriel, Finduilas, and Finrod were the only golden haired members. I’ve noticed that some fan artists depict all the Finarfinians with golden hair.
