It is a number and has something to do with the circumference of a circle to it's diameter or something. It is a never ending number....3.14 something something and on and on to infinity and beyond.

TNP knows what the ZIP in zip code stands for.

Pi is the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter, as well as the area of a circle divided by its radius squared (among other things). When I was in high school, some people competed to see who knew more digits.

I tend to call them postcodes, so no.

TNP enjoys looking down at the view from great heights.

How did you know that I would get this one?

Emphatically no! I don't not like looking down from great heights, although looking at the passing landscape from a jet doesn't bother me (because I'm cocooned within the body of the plane?).

Anecdotally: There used to be a commercial on TV (can't remember what for) but it had a guy walking out onto the steel girder of a tower under construction, and I used to get vertigo just watching the ad.

TNP is a very good diver.

Potato pancakes, German "Kartoffelpuffer" or "Reibekuchen" (and probably a few dozen dialect names); respectively the Swiss "Rösti", supposedly originating in the canton of Bern.

TNP has a favorite cake.

I love potato pancakes....guess I better tell the cook.

Even though I love chocolate, it is not my fave cake. I like carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

TNP knows what a Twinkie is.

I actually know several definitions for the word "Twinkie", including the awful cake thingy that was popular way back when ... and, perhaps, still is for all I know.

French (micro-) biologist of the 19th century. Known for his discoveries of the principles of pasteurization (*duh*) and vaccination (and quite a bit more, see Wikipedia). One of the very greats in his field in the 19th century, together with Germany's Robert Koch.

TNP will be able to explain to me what this adult coloring book business is all about, which Lindarielwen mentioned in her above post March 01, 2016 06:38, and about which I have read in other media recently - but about which I do not have the foggiest notion. Image

Gando, they are colouring books with teeny tiny details which forces the use of coloured pencils instead of crayons. Designs are very intricate unlike a child's colouring book. There is a Tolkien one.

TNP has a favourite bird.

OK, that explains why my non-CoE "knowledge" about adult coloring books comes from an article about two German companies specializing in high-end to professional writing etc. equipment having gotten a boost by this phenomenon. But then, the gap between what these companies produce and crayons is about as wide as between modern dentist's tools and paleolithic stone tools.

No, I am as unable to choose a favorite bird as to choose a favorite mammal.

TNP drew with crayons at some time in their lives.

Aren't you only supposed to cut them when they poke holes in the toes of your socks ????

Nope. I cut them when they need it. Rephrasing my previous, ahem, "predication" .....

TNP won't part with a "favourite" article of clothing.

Perhaps? I often keep old items of clothing as souvenirs. However, I haven't worn something ragged before, as it hasn't been very long since I stopped growing.

TNP currently possesses books from his/her childhood.
