Wikipedia, backed up by my 2000 German JRRT guide by Schneidewind; no mention in Foster or Tyler. Ah, in HoME volume 11 "The War Of The Jewels", Part Four "Quendi And Eldar", Section "Appendix " starting on page 420 of my 1995 HarperCollins paperback - egads, talk about deep trivia!)
