Yep.

(If you are ItarildeSirfalas, please answer E~S's prediction which has been carried forward for several posts:
TNP will become a permanent employee on March 1st.)

If you are NOT ItarildeSirfalas, please answer this prediction:

TNP likes broccoli.

Made myself those Aunt Jemima's, and poured on the maple syrup, when we were in the US, so over forty years ago. Seems to be something that has not crossed east over the big puddle yet, at least not as far as Germany, as far as I can tell (Uncle Ben with his rice has ...)

TNP likes omelets.

I've only consciously run across one in my entire 41 years in Germany, so difficult.

TNP continues to search for vinyl LPs for their collection.

Really?! We have tons of them over here. My Uncle ran a new and used book store in Vancouver for over 50 years, and I worked there after school, and during the summer holidays. I would find a book I wanted and I would ask him what chores I had to do to "earn" it. He also taught me all I know about bindings, paper and such by taking me to Estate sales. Great fun!

Nope. Sadly, no secondhand vinyl LPs where I live now. My collection is in stasis mode, I'm afraid.

TNP collect oddments that nobody else wants.

Hard to say why. I may not be looking in the right places, for a start, as these stores will not be found in the "premium" locations. Maybe also something to do with books having a different status in Germany - for those who buy them on a regular basis, I hasten to add. Might have an adverse effect on the supply side for second-hand books. And perhaps also, as far as I can see (imperfectly, probably), for possibly a long time (though no longer quite so much?), that the demand for second-hand anything may not have been very large - or not very visible - in Germany. And any such demand, especially by now, would probably have books pretty far down the priorities list.

Well, I still collect books, to read them. Not sure how close that brings me to the point of "nobody else wants"; possibly much closer than I realize, but in this case I emphatically quote Clark Gable at the end of "Gone with the Wind". Image

TNP may not know that vinyl record production and sales have gone up significantly in several countries over the last few years.

Actually, I am aware of it, and I'm very glad I kept my collection; most of which I bought at 60' and 70's prices.

TNP enjoys shopping at the mall.

TNP, E~S!

I watch very little that could be called series, never mind serials!!! Documentaries, yes, but some of them on the private channels are also moronic *sigh*. Image

Sorry, I was on my laptop which likes to "guess" what I'm going to type next, and I missed that one.

Ah no. I once had a friend who was an ardent watcher of soaps describe one of the shows plots ... needless to say I was confused, and never got into them.

TNP hates going grocery shopping without a list.

No - I don't watch the kind of shows where that could happen. But I very much enjoyed parts of shows claiming to be collections of the funniest commercials world-wide (ranging from hilarious to duh).

TNP likes to watch TV shows claiming to list the best - 25, 50, whatever - of something.

Almost never.

Most of my cooking, time-wise, is waiting for a timer clock to run down. I usually do some reading while waiting. I guess that counts as no?

TNP has a favorite Science Fiction author.

I couldn't possibly narrow it down to one. I like a lot of different SciFi authors.

TNP has a favourite type of nonfiction.
