Sorry if this has been done before (and blame k if you do blame someone ). I was thinking on my way home from class that while I had a samurai sword (authentic), but I'd much rather have one of the LOTR swords. Aragorn's first sword, before he took Narsil to be specific. I've always been fascinated with the way of the sword, and have kind of learned to use the samurai one I inherited from my uncle.

But yes, if I could own anything from the making of LOTR, that sword would be it. I'm actually thinking of buying a replica (it has to be a really really really really nice one) someday.

What would you want from the making of LOTR? A weapon, a piece of jewelry, a costume, a precious ring perhaps?

Oh yeah, I want Legolas's belt too...:blush:

anything from the making of LotR... oh man i want bag end.

really want to live in that hobbit hole. it looks so cosy plus i would be able to reach the lightbulbs (my ceilings are like 3 meters high or something insane like that) it just looks like such a cool place to live.

I would LOVE Galadriel's Nenya, and/or her costume - it is sooo beautiful. I was lucky enough to see it up close - talk about the PERFECT wedding gown!

I can honestly say I don't really want any of the jewelry from the movie, although some of it was very nice. Although, Elrond's tiara....

Nah, will stick with the Ranger Sword and Legolas's belt

Um... yeah... I want David Wenham...

Yes, I'm serious.

But, other than him, I'd very much like to own Sting, Frodo's shortsword. The detail on the blade was so, so amazing and the patterns of the hilt were impressive as well. I wouldn't mind having Glamdring, either... (that's Gandalf's sword, for anyone who isn't aware).

Just like k, I would like to own a hobbit hole, and several other people I know said the same thing after seeing the movie. It would also be nice to have a house in the Rivendell style.
And maybe Gandalf's fireworks...

All the clothes the elves wore in the movie, esspically Arwens dresses and Legolas' costume.

And legolas weapons, esspically the Lothlorien Bow.

Or maybe Haldir's Armor and that cape. Ooh the cape.

Like k and Dawn maiden I would love to have my own hobbit hole. They look so cosy. Apart from that the one ring (gold version), Narsil before it was broken adn eowyn's white dress.

Sean Bean?..Viggo..? Just kidding. I think Bag End..Gandalf's staff, some things from Rivendell..if TTT is included then Shadowfax, but I couldn't really afford to keep a horse..

Weapons: Aragorn's Sword and Eomer's helmet (don't know why, I just fancy the idea)
Dresses: The entire elvish wardrobe plus the Eowyn costumes.
People: Aragorn, boromir (Though I wouldn't want his corpse )
Jewels: The Evenstar, The Ring of Barahir and all three elvish rings...

And the entire set of miniatures!

Wait, Ring? Can we only pick one? Because there is sooo much cool stuff in the movie, let's just say i LOVE the swords and knives. Kinda scary, but I like them all

I'd love to own Legolas's bow and quiver, and his knives. Did you see the detail on the quiver?! It was so well done, and that peacock design is beautiful.. The arrows are well crafted too.

Other things on my 'wishlist' are:
- Arwen's blue velvet dress
- Legolas's boots
- The Elven brooch
- A bag full of those Elven ears things.. so my ears can be pointy.

Gah.. actually, the whole set would be great!

I love that sword! Its also a lot closer to a Scimitar then what the Uruk-hai's swords are. But my favorite thing from lotr is the Witch-king's sword. I'll try to upload a pic some other time, but its really cool.

This is very girly for me, but I'd love to have one of Arwen's or Eowyn's dresses just for a day....and play princess!
I never got a chance to do that as a kid, having just two brothers and no other kids around (we lived waaayyyy out there)

what I'd really want was not in the film, it's Viggo's photographs of the set and cast-the entire collection. I think he should publish a book of them!

..Going to go find out how to email Viggo and tell my wish..

( *update* I got his address and really am going to write him a note to ask if he's considered publishing his photos..I hear he answers mail. Anyone with me?)

I'd like to have all of middle-earth not for my own but around me (maybe I should just move to NZ??) The thing I really would want to own is the evenstar-pendant. I really love that thing... and the swords, and bows... I'd like to have tree house like the ones in Lothlorien too... Let's face it I just can't choose I'd want everything.

Either Asfaloth, or a Ringwraiths horse complete with saddle and tack
