The most beautiful of all of the Havens of Númenor, Eldalondë the Green was located in Andustar on the Bay of Eldanna, in the region known as Nisimaldar, at the mouth of the River Nunduinë.

In the Early days of the Second Age, the population of Eldalondë grew rapidly as many Númenorians wished to see, and visit with, the Eldar - and the white ships of visiting elves from Tol Eressëa would dock at the havens of Eldalondë.

Later, as the rulers of Númenor grew distrustful of the Eldar and envious of their long lives, the population diminished as most of the people moved to Arandor. Only the Elendili (Elf-Friends) desired to stay.

In the reign of Ar-Gimilzôr, many of the Elendili were forcibly relocated to Rómenna and Eldalondë fell out of use as a haven until Ar-Pharazôn assembled the Great Armament there, and set sail from Eldalondë on the voyage that resulted in the Downfall of Numenor.
