Conner directed them towards his antiques shop where he lived above. He sighed deeply as they all sat around a table in the kitchen. Taking a deep breath he told Vanese about the immortals, the fighting and taking of heads. He looked at her through hooded eyes as he told her of the only way she could become what she was born to be.

That she had to die a voilent death to become an immortal.

Vinese sat there, quietly. Then she said, "Is my daughter immortal? I hope not, she can live here happily. One lifetime would have been enough for me, but tell me this, is my death to be plotted by your kind? Or perhaps an accident of fate?"
