Erainthe looked at Marbisk, Really looked at him. She had accepted that he was there. But right now she saw a straighting of his sholders and a smile on his face she found a respect for him.
It must be hard to be hated all your life even if you were't evil.
Smiling too, she laughed out loud and said,
"Come on, lets go inside"

Inwë led the group to the dining room.
"Father, Rupert and his group of friends have come."
"Rupert!" shouted Eldarion.
The Hobbit smiled.
"Come, come sit, eat, have a drink."
Inwë sat inbetween(sp?) her father and Rupert. Everyone started feasting and drinking and laughing, like at the pub.
"So, Rupert, how far into your journey have you come?" asked Eldarion.

"We were waylaid by a fire and an orc attack. We had to stop and help the villagers, though I wasn't much help." Rupert sighed. "Erainthe is a very good healer, she helped so many. Halbarad has the verse from the sword, and I don't think we've come very far yet." Rupert took a big bite of his food. "May I thank you in advance sir, for your hospitality." Rupert stood up and bowed awkwardly, to the amusement of those around him. He blushed, not used to all of this attention from the big folk. He was usually the one serving, not being served.

*at the pub*
Duncan noticed that the crowd in the pub was thinning out. "Thank goodness! Now maybe I can get things cleaned up." Serving another drink to the ladies at the bar, he cheerfully told them that the drinks were on the house.

Eldarion looked at the Hobbit and said, "You are very welcome. How is your cousin, Duncan?"
Inwë looked at her father, confuzed.
How come he knows Duncan if he didn't know Rupert? she asked herself.

Blushing at the compliment that Rupert just paid her she bit into her food with relish. Just as she had expected the food was flavoured with things she couldn't even discribe.
She sat and ate and listened to the conversations around her. She was pleasently suprised to see that MArbisk had been welcomed with open arms and a full plate too.

Suddenly, one elf arrived. She introduced herself.
"Good day! I'm Númellótë, an elf from Lothlórien."
She started to look over the pub, but she didn't see no one familiar, so she went to a table in the corner.
She ordered a beer. because of that habit, many people looked strange at her. She thought:
"So what if i drink a beer? I wish that that orc stopped staring at me!"
She began singing to herself very quietly.

Rupert was surprised when Inwë's father asked about Duncan. He knew that his cousin had been to Bree a few times, but never to Rivendell, as far as he knew.
"I'm hoping that Duncan is doing well, he's running my pub, after all. It can sometimes be a difficult job, when it's busy."

Finishing his food, Rupert felt weary, but he didn't want to go to sleep yet. He knew that after sleep they would have to leave this beautiful place.

*at the pub*

"Duncan Bracegirdle, at your service," Duncan said to Númellótë. "I'll bring your beer, straightaway." Rushing off to get her beer, Duncan wondered if anyone was going near the Shire in their travels. He really needed some help at the pub, the workload was a lot more than he imagined when he took the job. He brought the elf her beer, and saw some of the customers staring at her. "Don't worry miss," he chuckled, "some of our customers are rude, but there aren't any that are dangerous." He went over to have a word with the orc.

Númellótë was calmed down. She said:
"Thank you, mr. Duncan! This beer tastes really good! I hope that orc wouldn't stare at me anymore."
She drank the beer and decided to stay a little longer at the pub as she first intended. she started to playing with her hair.
"Does anyone go to Rivendell? I need some company." she asked loudly. She hoped that someone will reply. But there was a silence, nobody gave her the answer. She wasn't sad or anything, because she wandered alone a lot.
She asked Duncan:
"How much costs the beer?"

"I always give the first beer on the house, though I don't know what Rupert would think about that!" Duncan replied to Númellótë. "I wonder if he is in Rivendell right now, he went on a quest with a group from the pub...oh it's a long story, and I'm not one to bore our guests. Hopefully they'll return soon."

Halbarad greeted some elves that he had met other times in Rivendell. He thought it was a good thing that they would have this chance to rest and eat. He would try to get together with Eldarion to see if he knew anything about the sword.

Inwë looked at her father curiously. She wondered how exactly he knew about Duncan.
"Ada, may I have a word with you?"
He got up and said, "I'll be right back."
He went with his daughter.
"Ada, how did you know about Duncan?"
Her father looked at her with eyes she could not understand.
"You wouldn't understand. And I can't explane(sp?) it."
He left her standing with worried eyes.

Eeva finished eating and went to stand on one of the many balconies, overlooking Rivendell. She couldn't believe how beautiful it was. She turned around at the sound of a tray crashing to the ground. "Jet" She ran back in, just in time to see the ferret streaking past inwe and her father. She grabbed him just before he slipped out of reach and stood up. "um, sorry about that." She smiled, her cheeks turning a bright pink.

"Oh, Duncan, thank you very much!" said Númellótë with a happy voice. "Actually, here is so nice, that i will drink something again."
"Would you like beer this time too?" asked Duncan.
"Oh, no, I'd like to drink only water. Thank you, Duncan!" replied Númellótë, when Duncan brought her a glass of water.

amarth quickly faded into the backround when they reached rivendell, he was aquainted with the place and had a few friends, he sat with the others for the present meal, but was told the others he would be scarce afterward as he caught up with them.

Erainthe was so full that she couldn't move. She hadn't really met inwe and her father, so she felt a bit rude sitting there and eating away.
Eeva's little feret was making noise and making Eeva flustered.
Amarth had dissapeared, and conversation had almost halted while Inwe and her father where out of the room. Erainthe studied a painting on the wall for a short time. She couldn't work out what it was so she keep looking for something else she could look at and understand.

The door to the pub swings open, a tall elf slowly enters, She has long dark hair, and is dressed in silver. She sits quietly in a corner and surveys the room.

Yet another person walks in . They are covered so you can only see the blue of their eyes. Is it a she or he...? They walk with grace to an empty spot in a table near the back. "Who is that?" a fellow person askes. They take off the hood that is blocking the face and it is a she-Elf a common one at that Her hair was a blondish color. She had a bow with her as well as a knife. She sits there until a person comes to her table and sits down. The began to talk.....

*at the pub*

Duncan served a glass of water to Númellóttë, and asked if she would be needing a room to stay in for the evening. A couple of female elves entered the pub, attracting a lot of attention from the males around them. "Goodness me, I should get someone larger than me to protect all of these females! I suppose I should get them served and get them some rooms before it gets too late." Night was falling quickly.

Rushing over to the tables he went to greet the newcomers.

*Rivendell*
Rupert went over to talk to Erainthe, who seemed a little out of her element. He knew how she felt, because he felt the same way. This place was beautiful, of course, but he missed his pub.

"Erainthe, I was told that there were rooms for us for the evening. May I escort you to wherever it is we are supposed to go?" He looked around to see where everyone else was going. A dark-haired elf approached and gave them directions to their rooms, smiling as a flustered Rupert thanked him again and again.

Grateful at the distraction Rupert offered, Erainthe smiled at him and accepted his offer.
They walked along a corridor with many rooms turning off it. Some where in the background was singing. It lifted her heart to hear it.
Feeling a bit wistful she asked Rupert, "How long have you owned your pub for? I am sure you have told me before but I don't remember."

Númellótë replied to Duncan:
"Oh yes, I would need a room, thank you. And by the way, what's the time? The glass of my sand clock had broken."
she was still drinking her water from a deep glass, when she became hungry. luckily, she had many reserve of lembas, so she started eating it.

Walking quietly, the dark she-elf exits the pub. She soon finds what she is looking for. She runs to a man cloaked in black.
"Aearion," she whispers as she runs to him.
"Eleni," he says, throwing his arms around her.
"I leave at first morning light," he explains."Take this, for now I must take my leave."
He slips a tiny silk bag ino her hand and turns to leave.
Eleniasto stands in silence as he walks away.

Confused she stands there. "Who is the Eleniasto he speaks of? For my name is not Eleniasto it is Se'reme'la...?" She pondered on it a while. "Who was that man and why did her give me a bag made of silk?" , she asked the worker as she entered back into the pub to find an answer. " Are you not Eleniasto for you are she you must be!" he replied.

Eleniasto enters the pub and walks over to Se'reme'la and takes the bag from her hands.
"I am Eleniasto. Why you must have picked this up after I dropped it. Why did you follow me? I wanted to be alone."

"Hello, I am sorry but you are mistaken.A man in black gave it to me. You may have it back if you wish." Se'reme'la replied. She handed it out to her. She took it and walked away in a very angrey manner. "Well that went well!" she said to her self....!

*in the pub*
"Go and prepare me a room for i shall return at the time where the night is at it's darkest hour."

After the she-elf whispered to Duncan, he rushed upstairs to make sure that all of the rooms were in order. "These elves are mighty confusing, at least these dark ones anyway," he said to himself. "I wish Rupert would return soon." Noting that all of the rooms were in order, he returned to the common room. Some kind of discussion was going on between a couple of lady elves. He shyly approached the elves, feeling very small indeed.
"The rooms are in order," he said with a shy smile. "You may retire whenever you wish, or be alone, if that is what you wish. I can bring you drinks and food as well." Duncan put his hand to his mouth to cover the huge yawn that threatened to escape. Suddenly, he heard a soft voice from across the room.
"Excuse me sir, I saw the sign in the window. Would you still be needing help here at the pub? Are you the Rupert on the sign?"
A brown haired woman was standing at the doorway. Duncan went over to introduce himself. "Duncan Bracegirdle, my dear. I do need help, if you have the stamina to deal with this crowd." Letting out a sigh, he led the woman over to the bar and got her an ale on the house.

*Rivendell*
"I've had the pub since after the time Miranda disappeared. We had a pub together, just down the road actually, but I couldn't bear to keep it open. So many memories. I've known Eeva since that time as well, she's almost like a daughter to me, if a hobbit could have a daughter of that size!" Saying goodnight to Erainthe, Rupert made his way into his room, wishing that he could speak to Halbarad. Where in Middle Earth had that man gotten off to? "I'm sure he'll be waking me up soon enough!" he grumbled as he threw himself onto the huge bed and fell into a deep sleep.

(ooc: Sorry about having so many characters, but I felt that Duncan really needed some help in the pub!)

Eeva took her ferret away, her face still a bright crimson. She was headed to her room when she ran into Halbarad. "EEp! Halbarad, you scared me." She then laughed. "Guess I should have been payin attention to where I was going. I need to get to my room, before I ruin our welcome here. Jet has been trying to cause some more trouble." She held up the ferret as she spoke.

"Thank you for the room, Duncan" said Númellótë to him, when he returned back downstairs.
Before she went upstairs to her room, she said to Duncan: "I'm going in my room. Please, don't disturb me, I'll be back in the morning. Good night."

Eleniasto walked back outside. Why had Se'reme'la claimed Aearion had given the bag to her? This was indeed very strange. Eleni walked to a dark corner between two buildings. She opened the bag, and out fell a stereling silver ring, in it bound a moonstone. A tear came to Eleni's eyes. She thrust her hand into the bag and found a note. It read:

Dearest Eleni,
Our souls are bound together by love, and will forever be. One week after my return give me your reply, for I wish to marry you. I will return.
Aearion

With many many tears Eleniasto slipped the ring on. She stayed in the shadows until her tears stopped flowng. She reenterd the pub and approached Duncan. "Could you show me to my room?"

Se'reme'la still sitting at the table which she had been for almost an hour. She saw Eleniasto passing by but not with the angry feirce face with which she had left with her face was a meek gental one. And when she greeted a worker to show her to her room she smiled. "What happened to cure her feirce mood?" she pondered to herself. She got up from her table and went outside as if she was anticipating on someone to arrive. " Sir, when Amroth arrives please wake me of his presence."" Yes my lady." he replied. Then i went to my room to rest and to be deep in thought.

Erainthe took a good look around the room, when she turned back to say thanks to Rupert had disapeared.
Closing the door she wandered the vast chamber until she hit the bed. It was huge and looked so soft. Jumping onto the bed, she was asleep before her head hit the pillow...

During the dinner Halbarad ate some of his favorite dish. How did the elves know how much he loved spicy chicken?

After dinner, he was walking down the hall, when he ran into Eeva and Jet.
"My apologies for scaring you, I was thinking about our task. The next line in the poem says that we must travel in the moonlight. I think we should leave tomorrow evening."
He gave the ferret a quick pet.
"And you my friend stay out of trouble.

Eeva laughed. "It was partly my fault anyway. I agree about leaving." She yawned. "I should probably get to bed though, I'm pretty tired. Night Halbarad." She walked off into her room, laying on her bed, staring at the ceiling until she fell asleep, Jet curled up next to her.

Marbisk was surprised at the welcome he'd received, even though Rupert had told him not to worry about it.
The food was delicious and Marbisk was very hungry. It was the best food he'd ever had, which wasn't really a surprise. The food he had eaten at the pub was the first really good food he'd ever eaten.
He still felt out of place, however. He felt he was being watched, like they thought he might make a sudden attack or something. It was probably just his imagination.

After dinner, Marbisk saw his companions get up to go to their rooms, so he figured that's what he should do. He got up and an elf came over to him. He could have sworn he saw the elf's eyes dart to his weapon and then back to his face. "Erm..could you show me to my room please?" he asked the elf, then added, "Thank you very much for welcoming me so kindly, and giving me food and a place to rest, even though I'm am an, an orc."
Something in the elf's face seemed to change. He looked into Marbisk's eyes, just like Eeva had done at the pub, and he smiled. "Your very welcome," he said. And he gave Marbisk directions to his room. Marbisk thanked him again and said goodnight. He made his way to his room. He moved over to the window and looked out at Rivendell. He never thought he'd be able to see this beautiful place. Now he had been welcomed inside it and actually given a room to stay there for the night. It all seemed like a dream now, with the moonlight streaming through the window, and the elves singing. Marbisk lay down on the bed and fell asleep.

She broke away from the trance like mostionless she wsa in and opened the door for him to pass. " I wished for this time ,this hour, this moment. To be in your arms once agian!"
