She stood and listened to the silence of the forest, although you can't say that a forest is ever very silent. she stood there looking at the several corpses laying in front of her, the bodies of orcs, dead. There was much blood araound her, and not only around her, also at her dress, although not good to be seen, because her dress was dark. the blood dropped down from her sword, and she seemed to grin somehow...
"yes. that was it", she said," my trainig for this morning!" perhaps one should mention, that in the last time there were many orcs in the darkwood forest, because most of the elves had gone in to the far west and there were few of them who remained.
there was not much to hear now, but it seemed as there were some steps in the far...

Myrrima leaped lightly off her horse, Stardust, and told her to stay. She had heard a noise further into the forest. She stepped forward lightly, barely making a sound. She must see who it was, or what it was. She got closer, and leapt into a tree, still silently, and crept from tree to tree to get to her destination.

Micah walked through the forest. Listening very good at anything. with every sound he turned around. He had just heard a sound behind him. He turned and walked backwards slowly. 'Nothing.' He thought. Suddenly he stepped with one leg in a hole and fell backwards. There was a terrible snap. He cursed. Let this not be happening, not when there were orcs around here. He pulled his leg out of the hole. Ah, not good. He closed his eyes because of the pain and layed his leg straight. He cursed again. 'BLOODY HOLE... ARRG!'
Micah has just broken his leg.

Anowyn leapt out of a nearby tree and drew the twin sowrds that rested at her hips. With someone hurt, and orcs around, the blades would be restless. She cleaved orcs, and rushed to the wounded man's side. She was relatively adept at healing, but nothing special. she could set his leg for a bit, but he needed professional help. She scooped him up and deposited him on Menefalas, before jumping up behind he. She spurred the large beast on, towards the nearest healer.

[Micah and all my other characters are in the Database, it might be fun to check.]

Just as Micah broken his leg and he cursed loudly, orc's came his way. He got his close-range bow and shot a few orcs, before someone came to his aid. She grabbed him and placed him in front of her and they rode away.

"interesting thought Myrrima. A man broke his leg in a hole just a minute ago, and then a woman came and saved him from the orcs swarming around them. This might be interesting to see what happens...but she was still curious about whatever it was that she had heard before. She would have loved to shoot a few orcs, just for the fun of it, and to get rid of some of their filthy hides. But she continued to creep forward to the clearing where she had heard the noise. She could track the other two later. She got closer...

Ceolwyn ran deftly through the forest, barely making a noise. I think they've given up She thought triumphantly, thinking of the foolish men she cleverly conned in a tavern aways back. Thieving wasn't an easy way to make a living, and not a good one either. At least she hadn't seen any wanted posters of herself yet.
Ceolwyn slowed down, and caught her breath. From the distance, she faintly heard the sounds of footsteps. Not thinking, she carefully made her way over to the noise. Through the trees, she saw orcs, and others killing them. A man fell into a hole and cursed loudly, still shooting them with a bow. She rolled her eyes. She could have eluded that hole. Somebody (she couldn't tell through the trees) came to his rescue.
She noticed a lass was walking alone, and decided to follow her as quietly as she could.

Larewen walked around the woods, looking for her brother. She heard a loud curse and smiled. So there he was. She looked through the trees but only vaguely saw what was going on, all she saw was that a blur rode away. She was so busy looking that she almost fell over a dead orc lying there. She held her balance but she her footsteps were heard already. Just what she was trying to avoid. She looked around and saw that there were more bodies lying here. She could also see that someone was approaching her(Myrrima). And someone walking silently and slowly behind her(Ceolwyn). Larewen held up her hand and said loudly: 'Please come, I am sorry if I alarmed any of you. My name is Larewen, i am searching for my brother. Have you two seen him?'

Meanwhile Micah was cusring under his breath because of th pain he felt when there were bumps on the road, or anything simular. 'May i ask.. Ow... May i ask who my rescuer is? My name is Micah.'

Myrrima still stood perched up in the trees and jumped slightly when she heard someone talking. It was behind her. She turned slowly, staring at the woman on the ground. Another one! This day was chocked full of surprises! She smiled happily. She just loved adventure! She hopped down from the tree and, standing right in front of the woman now, she said,"Well, Larewen...if your brother happens to be the one that I just saw riding off on the back of a horse with a broken leg and some lady riding in front of him taking him to the nearest doctor here, then yes, I have seen your brother. We could track him and see if it is if you like." she said this and then felt a twang of sadness. Then her spririts jumped p again and she said, "but first, if it is no trouble, I still want to find out who or what is in that clearing over there." she pointed and msiled, "Only if it is no trouble."

'Uhhhh, well, there were a lot of Orcs. But they are all dead now. Now, how do you mean someonebroke his leg and rode away with a lady? What did he look like? He cursed... i could hear that...' Larewen said.

[Dark curly hair, till chin height. He wears brown clothes.]

"Well," said Myrrima, "He had dark curly hair. Pretty tall at the chin. He was wearing brown if that helps." She smiled. "And I saw the orcs. Shot a few down myself." she nudged the bow on her shoulder.

Ceolwyn came out of the forest. She drew her sword, and pointed to the clearing. "If you're looking for the two who rode off, they went through here. It shouldn't be too hard to find them." She turned to Myrimma. "Then we can see what is in this clearing, as well as find the others." Ceolwyn wondered what these two would think about her arupt appearance from the forest, but put it to the back of her mind. Slowly, she trudged towards the clearing. Great, she thought, What have I gotten myself into now?

Anowyn spoke in short hurried gasps.

"'ello there, Micah." [pause] My name is Anowyn. [pause] I am a ranger. [pause] You are badly hurt, I must say,[pause] and you need to see a healer. [pause] Fast. [pause] If we are in luck, no one will [pause] be pursuing us and we will soon [pause] get ye 'elp. [pause] Do you know if anyone was lookin' fer ye?" she breathed heavily, weaving in and out of the trees.

'That must be my brother! I must go after him. Are you coming with me?' She asked.

Micah listened at the girl who he ws riding with. 'Hello, Anowyn...' He said and gasped when the horse rode down a hill. 'I have no idea, I kind of walked off from where i was camping with my sister, she might be looking for me.'

"Well, then Micah, do ye suggest we wait fer 'er? And 'ow far behind could she be? If it's more than a day, we cannot afford the time. A few hours, possibly. I refuse to stop. Slow the pace, yes, That I could do." She stopped to consider. She added in a barely audible whisper. "Yes, that I could do."

A river flowed off to their right a bit. She pulled Menefalas off the path, and trotted him down to the banks of the river. There, she dismounted, and pulled Micah down after her. She rolled up his pant leg and dipped a cloth in the river. then she wrapped it around his leg. The water was icy, but that was entirely the point: to numb the fracture. "Rest here, my friend. I shall scout the area and wait for your sister. If she does not arrive soon, we hsall continue on at a slower pace."

Myrrima puzzled a little bit, then grinned. "Ah, well. Then we must go find him. Shouldn't be too hard, if that is him. This new elf, what's your name?, and I will go investigate this clearing, it's making me awful curious, then hurry on after your brother. Shouldn't be too hard. THe ground is soft and the horse has left prints inches deep." she smiled reassuringly and trudged off after the new elf, walking quickly. She didn't want to put of the search for very long.

Ceolwyn heard one of the elves follow her into the clearing, and waited for her to catch up. "I am sorry for not introducing myself. I am a half elf, and my name is Ceolwyn." She said, still trudging through the brush. "And your name?" This was one of Ceolwyn's rare moments when she was actually nice, and spoke the truth. She decided to say no more, for they made it to the clearing.

Larewen nodded and turned around to the spot she came from. 'Narcia!' She called out. And she walked back. 'We will soon be accompanied by my horse.' She said and smiled.

Myrrima smiled and then turned back to Ceolwyn. "Ah. Ceolwyn. Such a pretty name! Mine is Myrrima. I am a full blooded elf, as you can see. And it is all right for not introducing yourself right away. Nothing broken is there? No, that's fine. Just fine." SHe smiled at Ceolwyn and then moved towards the clearing again. SHe was having one of her feelings again. This time it was the one that meant excitment and adventure, though it also seemed to mean that she had to go to the clearing, for some reason unknown to her, as it seemed that this would show her something she needed to know for finding Larawen's brother. She moved on.

Micah sat down and got a flask from his hip. He took a few sips and then he held out his hand and gave the flask to Anowyn and said: 'Water, if you want some...'


Meanwhile Larewen walked back towards Myrrima. 'Do you have some sort of transportation?'

[oh, and Kahlan? You called Myrimma Kahlan in the last post...]

"yes I do." said Myrrima to Larewen. "I have a horse named Stardust. She is in the woods not far away. I left her to graze while I checked things out." she smiled again.

(Oops!!! Thanks for telling me! I do that sometimes. I'll be thinking one thing and type another and I don't always catch myself. Oh, and what do you mean when you talk about the silver bracelet with runes on it? Who?)

It was just then when Micah noticed that he had lost something. It was his bracelet. ' Oh no!' He said...

(*Kahlan smacks her forhead* DUH! SOrry, I was a little lost I guess. It happens. Now I'll bring myself up to speed. Thanks for rreminding me!)

Myrrima shrugged at Ceolwyn's question. "I don't know." she said. "All I know is that there is something in that clearing, and I need to know what it is. There was a person in it before. I heard her. But I haven't heard anything for a long time." She walked forward carefully. She entered the clearing. As she had suspected, ther ewas no one there. She wasn't expecting anyone. The person that was there must have left long ago. She crept forward, looking for whatever it was that had pulled her here. Then she caught a gling of sunlight shining off something. She walked toward it. Then she stepped back and gasped. What was this? She pulled back the branches of the bush and found underneath it a silver bracelet. She picked it up carefully and examined it. It was silver, she had been right about that. It was also covered in runes. What a strange bracelet! I wonder who it belongs to. she thought. She tucked it into her pocket for safe keeping and walked back to Ceolwyn. "I found what we were looking for." SHe pulled the bracelet out for a second and showed it to her. "THis is what pulled me here. WE can go find Micah now." She wondered if Ceolwyn knew anything about the bracelet and she wondered if she would say anything, so she started edging towards the edge of the clearing.

Larewen called from a distance away: 'Are you two coming? I am going now, i dont want to get behind too far!' And she mounted her horse. She rode away, not very fast, for the others should be able to catch up with her, In the direction Micah had gone.

Anowyn was brought to her senses on the banks of the river.

"Oh no!" Micah exclaimed.

"What is it?" Anowyn inquired, worried and curious. What could have alerted him so quickly? Was it foul news? Perhaps trespassers? Was he having a bad daydream? Was it a vision, maybe? She needed to find out.

"We'll have to be off soon, so do speak with haste, Micah, my friend!"

(I was just showing Ceolwyn right there, but I was planning on showing everybody if you thought it was alright. The whole thing was going to go, I'll show you, since the reason we went into the clearing was because I had a feeling I would find something that would help us find Micah. THen, if you thought it was alright to show everyone else, as they are coming on the search too, I would show it to them. Though, no doubt you would then want to keep it since it is Micah's?)

Myrrima started walking faster. She heard Larewen yell something. "Are you two coming? I am going now, I don't want to get behind too far!" She went faster. She put two fingers in her mouth and gave a long, high, shrill whistle, off into the woods. Then, out of the trees, came her horse, shining like the moon on a clear night. Her name was Stardust. Myrrima leapt onto her back and called, "We're coming!" Then put down a hand for Ceolwyn. "Do you have a ride here? If not I'll take you."

Ceolwyn looked up at Myrimma on her horse. She prefered to run, but she was tired, so she took the opprotunity to ride, though she didn't fancy animals much. "I'll ride." She said, grasping Myrimma's hand and swinging unto the saddle of her horse. They went off into a steady gallop. Raising her voice so she could be heard, Ceolwyn asked, "Could I see the bracelet for a moment? I never had the chance to see it."

"sorry. here." said Myrrima, grabbing the bracelet again and handing it to Ceolwyn. Then she grabbed hold of the reins and trotted off after Larewen.

'To see what?' Larewen asked curious. They were now riding together.

'My bracelet! It's gone! It has been given to me on my first journey, and i have worn it ever since, i have it for two years now.' He looked on the ground. There was no sign of the bracelet anywhere. It was his most precious belongin, together with his bow and sword. His eyes were watery.

(You've caught up to Micah, right?)

Myrrima could see Larewen far ahead, along with a few of the others, though she didn't know if Ceolwyn could see them. They were still quite a ways away and she had better eyesight than most, even for an elf. She didn't point it out though. They would get there soon enough.
