'May It Be' by Enya, followed by 'Gollum's Song' (that is so creepy, but so cool!). I also think 'Evenstar' is very beautiful as well....and 'Breath Of Life' - I'll leave it at that for now

Ditto Grima. "May it Be" is my favorite, although Pippin's Song is a really close second.

I like most of the songs from LOTR but I think my favourites are the ones that have a form of Elvish in them. Beautiful.

I love Into the West. That song is gorgeous. I may be listening to something on my CD player, and then I'll be like, I must listen to Into the West right now! That just happened to me today! Very beautiful.

'Steward' not 'stewart'. LOL!

Billy Boyd has a beautiful voice and the juxtaposition of him singing and Faramir riding to his death is very moving.

The ones not mentioned on the poll .... I love the three trailers music, Gondor's horn and Arwen's song......

Actually Arwen's song is probably my fave!

I still find it amusing that, when we went to see RotK at the cinema, on the scene when Gandalf calls Denethor "Steward", my little brother turned to me and said "Is his name Stewart?" hehehe! He might have been 13 at the time, but he still comes out with the cutest things, lol

I love the three trailers music


I love 'Requiem For A Dream' - that's the name of the TTT one, right?

Who else cried when they listened to Into the West for the first time?
I got the C.D for christmas right after ROTK came to theatres, and having the imagery in my head of Frodo leaving on the ship........always gets me choked up!

Another question, what is Into the West singing about to you? Is it Frodo and Sam, the Elves, friendship in general...?

Evenstar, Ride of the Rohrrihim, how can anyone choose?

Into the West is singing about Cameron Duncan the kiwi it was inspired by. I cannot hear that song and not remember him. New Zealand will miss him always.

That is a mean mean question! grrrrrrrrr anyway these are my (somewhat undecided) favs. I love the Evenstar in ttt and Lothlorien in fotr but i love the bit just after pippin lights the beacon in 'Minas Tirith'(but i do love the hole of that one) :love:

I know now....after I saw that little movie clip in one of the ROTK discs (I think it was disc 5 or something..). The baseball guy right? My sis and I were crying at the end of it. :cry: But I don't really understand...what was it about in general? He had cancer or something?

I think the first time I really listened to 'Into the West' was when I saw a video made by a fan that had a clip of Haldir in it -- the bit at Helms Deep when his head fell back on to Aragorn's shoulder I couldn't listen to it for weeks afterwards without crying :rolleyes:

Yeah the whole story about Cameron Duncan is so sad. I wrote an article about it in the Council Courier if you never saw it. It's so sad. I was crying too.

I first thought of it as Frodo sort of singing it to Sam sort of as a goodbye and about how Frodo is finally approaching the final stages of his journey. Now that I know the story of Cameron Duncan, I think about him as well, like how the suffering of cancer is over and he is going to be in heaven... something like that.

My vote goes to Into the West. Yes, I did cry when I first heard it. And it is all the more poignant for me after watching the documentary on Cameron Duncan and that Fran Walsh wrote it for him in mind. What an amazing talent Cameron was for such a young age and the short Films in the doc....showed he had such insight into the world around him. He was certainly extremely gifted and it is so sad what happened to him.

The other songs I like are Evenstar, Breath of Life, In Dreams and also Aniron. Enya sings Elvish beautifully.

I kinda liked Arwen's Song the best after I saw the Extended DVD version. I love Liv's voice and the tune of the song is very pretty.

i liked pippin's song. that almost made me cry. and many meetings that is such a cool song. i also liked gondorian and mordor theme song . the song they play when they are featuring the nazgul was also cool

Into the west it reminds me why the elves are leaving middle earth never to come back again.:cry:

Arwen's song is a close second.

I can't choose! So many of them were awesome, poignant and very moving. Some were fun, like the Hobbit drinking songs, but most followed the tone of the story exceptionally well. Beautiful, but rather sad as the ending of the Elves' time in Middle-earth drew near, leaving the custodianship to the Secondborn, Men. I like Enya's May It Be, I liked the end song for TTT (the one about Gollum something like Don't Say), and Into the West just made me weep. It's sort of sad that they only played over the credits because far too many people left and didn't get the full impact of the songs. All of them were absolutely beautiful. Can you tell I'm addicted to the movies?

Into The west makes me want to cry. I love the Stewards song also, and the Hobbit is great. I admit it. I love them all.Even after all this time I still listen to them on the way into and from work. siiggghhhh such wonderful talented people.

I voted Into the West. Its such a sad yet beautiful song. I also love Concerning Hobbits because its so happy and so, well...hobbity!

Arwen's Song. Liv Tyler has such an amazing voice. I hope we'll get the chance to hear some more of her music.

Pippin singing for Denethor makes me sad too, and Lament for Gandalf is just amazing. "I have not the heart to tell you. For me the grief is still too near." :cry:
