This is the OOC for Room at the Inn.

To answer your question, Eleiel, no, our characters should not have met before, I don't think.

yes ma'am!

I just had a thought, what if the road to this inn is being watched by bandets and people are being ambushed and robbedand etc. We, and any one else who joins, could hunt them out and kill/capture them.
How does that sound?

(I'm sorry if I am being anoying, I just have to have perpose, or I lose interest.)

i have also read this ooc, and i think the bandets or whatstheirname sound pretty good!

Due to the problems we've had in the past, with threads barely qualifying as Tolkien Related, the moderators would appreciate it if you would please consider casually locating this thread somewhere on the map of Middle-earth in some of your future posts.
Right now all we have is an Inn, somewhere, on a road watched by bandits (or bandets) and a character or two from Rivendel

yeah.. i was actually thinking the same thing: where does all of this take place? i just kinda assumed bree at the beginning, but i'm not so sure right no.

I think it should be somewhere between Mirkwood and Laketown. That does not seem to be an over worked aria, and I would lie to stick with some place I know about, rather than venturing into Forodwaith, or whatever.

What do you think?

I don't really mind. Bree seemed to be the only place in Middle Earth I knew with an Inn. Any thoughts, Sana?

Okay, or possibly get some one else to do it.

I think, that if you edit the title in the thread so that it would look like this Room at the Inn (more players needed!), someone might be more interested in joining. Maybe the OOC thread too. it is kind of hard to have good RPG with only two people.

Yup, this is the right one! thanks for coming.

So far we have only established that we are going to go out to find some bandits who are raiding travelers and so forth. We are at an inn called the Rusty Gate, probably on the outskirts of Bree. You could come in any way you want really. maybe another victim of the bandits, barely escaping with your life, or you could be working at the inn.

You can check out the RP to get a better view as to what has gone on.

What sort of character are you using?

Okay, can you post the link. Maybe I'm daft, but I scanned through the forums and didn't see the thread. How far into it are you? A page? Two pages?

As far as a character, I was going to let the roleplay's tone decide that unless you had a preference, but likely some outcast. Maybe I'd play a human, since I haven't in a while, in which case I'd create a new character.

uhm.. hi again guys.

i've read the whole ooc, and agree on everything you've decided. i hope you guys will forgive me for my hasty leaving, but i have had a rough time back home, and did quite a few silly things i later regretted- this leaving included. i am sorry for the inconveniences this may have caused, and i'd love to play reya again, if you guys take me back that is.

so the question is: can i still participate?

just to answer bereth's question abou where we are:

as far as i've figured out (i might be wrong though) this takes place in Bree, and the bandits are dishonest men, like Bill the pony-owner in the Fellowship, who make good profit by assaulting people along the road. the 'road' is therefore the one leading from shire to rivendell, but also the one that crosses it - coming from gondor and going to the far north - so it's actually the roads, not road. i hope this makes everything a bit more clear.


and please correct me, marna, if i'm wrong.

hi guys.

i just found out that shirehobbit is going to be away from 17th-24th march, and won't be able to reply.

therefore i was thinking: how about we all just go to bed, and then rush forward 'til morning, when our charries can discuss how and when they are going to look for the bandits?

since shirehobbit's charrie isn't officially part of the "go after bandits"-team yet, it'll be both realistic, and make us able to carry on the game even if he isn't here.
