I have read the thread but have thought up a different niche for my charrie. She will start out alone but will meet up with Aerlinnel and her escorts before they reach Imladris. Perhaps she can know something of the message from Thranduil himself (will explain in the thread). But if there are any qualms about my post (which I will have up on Tuesday), let me know.

(For the sake of convenience, instead of writing Dinenlasse, Din is fine too.)

Well, Maralyn, perhaps Wen sort of befriended Aeregwaithion a long time ago, but they've never been really close friends because they've gone their own ways. How does that sound?

Sounds great to me...go for it! I'm excited to see where this goes.

So what you're saying is that now they're more like distant acquaintances than friends? That would be acceptable. Has Wen ever visited Harlindon? If so, maybe that's where she met Aeregwathion, because he used to live there a long time ago.

yeah, thats what I mean...and it's certainly possible that she met Aeregwaithion in Harlindon because she has traveled a lot in Middle earth.

Just posted now, though it's somewhat hurried. :S

Elfmaiden: Aeregwathion may seem rude sometimes, but don't take it personally...it's just in his nature.

oh, I understand. I've played many solitary characters myself.

I put my post in finally! I hope it will work with the plotline eventually.

Great post, Dinenlasse! Nice and long. Oh, dear...I didn't know Mirkwood's name was changed after the War. I might edit my posts later...it should be easy, as I only mentioned Mirkwood once or twice.

I feel like we should discuss the message that is being brought to Rivendell. What exactly is the warning? We obviously need to decide, and fast. It should probably have something to do with orcs; maybe the same kind Celethor slew in the cave, with the strange tattoos. What do you guys think? I'm terrible at coming up with stuff.

Oh, and one more thing: if Elrohir and Elladan are in charge of Rivendell, should they appear in the RP sometime? We'd have to find people to play them (I wouldn't mind, but I'm already playing two characters), and of course they'd only appear briefly. Just thought I'd bring it up.

I can play them if it just for a post or two. It doesn't really matter to me.

As far as the message goes, maybe it could involve something a bit more elaborate with the orcs. You know, maybe it is a message that they didn't want getting out. Maybe they are planning to rally around someone But the only problem is that this is such a common plotline. But the idea of secrecy isn't so bad I think. The orcs could chase after the group or have their minds set on Aerlinniel (she could have irritated them in one way or another). These are just my ideas. There are probably better ones out there! lol

Maybe a new orc king has risen (not like Sauron of course) but strong enough to be a threat if nothing else?

Hmmm...perhaps there could be something in Rivendell that the orcs want, like an ancient weapon or something. Maybe it used to belong to some orcish leader long ago, but was stolen in a battle, and now the orcs want it back because they think it'll help them become more powerful. But that's just an idea.

That seems interesting I like it, though I think orcs would need a bit of a greater incentive then just a weapon. Revege?

Ooo, maybe the ancient weapon that the orcs are after was stolen by an elf in Imladris (one of Elrond's sons, perhaps?) and now the orcs want revenge on him/her.

(To Dinenlasse) By the way, I'm sorry I haven't replied to your post yet. I hope you don't think we're ignoring you; we're just waiting for the right moment for Aerlinniel and her escorts to meet up with your charrie. Just hang in there a little longer. xD

Great ideas...I like the idea with the ancient weapon and revenge. If you don't mind, I shall play Elrond's sons since I already posted with Elladan. I hope you don't mind. And I only have one character anyway.

Don't worry about it. Your post is great! ^_^ The next time I post I'll try to hurry things up with Aerlinniel and company so they can meet up with Färynel.

Right, whose post is it? I believe Celethor and Elendil2 are up next. We've got to get this thing rolling if we want to make any progress.

Hey, I tried posting yesterday, but I ran out of time. But I had planned to use the post Maralyn had posted and elendil had just continued with. If it is still okay to use it, I was going to put in a post sometime soon, definitely by tomorrow. If not, that is all right, and I will post still something tomorrow. Maybe there could be a misunderstanding?

Thanks, Elfmaiden.

By the way, I've been doing some thinking regarding the message Aerl's bringing from Mirkwood. I know it was originally going to have something to do with orcs, but if you think about it, how would the Elves know what the orcs are planning? I mean, the orcs pretty much keep their business secret, right? So maybe the message has nothing to do with orcs whatsoever...it could be a simple message from Thranduil or whoever's ruling Mirkwood at the time. *shrugs* I haven't really thought it over that much yet, but it doesn't seem very logical that the Elves would know what the orcs are planning. Just thought I'd mention that and get you guys' opinions.

Once Aerlinniel and Co. reach Imladris, that's when the action (hopefully) starts. So let's get this thing moving along!

Would you mind posting, Elendil? I believe it's Elfmaiden's turn, but while we're waiting for her, you could reply to Din's last post.

Hey all, is there any way I could join in? I have been reading your story- very interesting- and I thought I might ask...
I want to start Gwynnyth here- she is in the database, if you want to see her.

...and perhaps she could explain how you got the info for the message? She was a scout of Lorien, albiet temporarily. I wouldn't mind moving her out of Rohan (read RPG data) to Mirkwood (or-whatever-it-is-called-now LOL)

Greetings, Rodwen! It would be a delight to have you join, and I'm certain none of the other writers will have any objections. The actual RP is lagging behind a bit, so whenever you want to make your first post is up to you.

Maralyn, I sent Celethor a PM about a week ago... He hasn't responded.

Update: A month ago...
