*sniff* but then books 8, 9, and 10 will come out slower...and I have to read them... :cry:

Hi, ErAk! I'm still trying to get my hands on books 1 and 2 so that I can re-read them, and then on to books 3 and 4, which are the only ones in the US right now, or at least the only ones in my library system. *sigh*

I love this series, and welcome Erak! (WT, or so I think...because you like Skandians) :wave:

And I've read them all too...They are good books...I enjoy JF's humour

So, my librarian told me that book one is on hold in my name and that it's due back tomorrow...hopefully I'll be getting it soon. I think the ranger person (Erak, right?) is my favorite character.

I bought the first book last summer to read on vakachion. It was very good, and it reminded me a bit of lotr.

It has that normal medieval taste to it, but he actually got the Rangers from the Brittish commandos, the US WWII army rangers, and the Texas Rangers, so there is supposed to be no LotR involved. did I confuzzle you?

The main character is Will, his mentor is Halt, the Rangers commandant is Crowley, Halt's first apprentice is Gilan, so there are many ranger peoples...which ranger person? And Erak is the Skandian in the end of book 2 and a huge main character in books 3-4. So, no, Erak isn't the ranger person...

And Dryst has been friends with JF for a long time now...so...yeah...And when book 10 comes out, you'll know more about the Female Ranger
