BACKGROUND
~~~~~~~~~
The elves of Rivendell are at war once more with the goblins of the Misty Mountains. The goblins, commanded by groups of humans under Sauron's command, are devastating the elven armies. Knowing that he has no chance of victory without Cirdan's help, Elrond sends Arvanion, a half-elven errand-rider of Rivendell, to Cirdan with a message detailing the battle plans. However, Arvanion is attacked and his message is taken. The brigands who took his message must be located before the next new moon, or Elrond's plans will be laid bare to Sauron's agents and Eriador will fall. I, Arvanion, am in need of warriors on this quest; but there are many dangers in the vast reaches of Eriador.

When is this RP set? You need to make sure that you don't conflict with what is known about Elrond and Cirdan and the battles in which they and their people were involved.

Just before the Quest of Erebor; the goblins would still be at full strength before the Battle of Five Armies, and that leaves room for some military activity... even if it isn't explicitly mentioned in the Lore.

I'm thinking that our characters, and possibly some others will meet up at that pub and we will set off from there. That would be cool if we could run into a troll at least once and barely defeat it. We should also have our characters fight off a warg pack that surrounds them at their campfire.

Those are my paltry ideas though. What do you have in mind?

A troll sounds good... we'll wait on the wargs until we move south towards Eregion (they usually weren't along the Great East Road). I think that Arvanion's Dunedain buddies should make a cameo somewhere... say, that could be how we beat the troll!

The troll battle should be epic. We could have the Dunedain allies come in at the last second to save our skins.

BTW, I will be posting in the RP soon. I just haven't had the chance to write anything that big yet.

With Mirach as a Dunedain the troll scene could work very well. His allies could save us because of their relations with him!

I believe that MMM has a ranger character as well, so I'm going to have her [the character] come in and save our skins during the troll battle. MMM, you may bring a patrol with you.

I've initiated a small battle with some wandering bandits. The troll will come in (as will MMM) after an uneventful 2 days.

You could have a party of rangers hiding somewhere until the time was right to fire. Then the rangers could shoot a bunch of arrows into the troll until he looked like porcupine. After that, your character could jump out and shoot the troll between the eyes! Killing him!

Thats just my idea though.

What did you have in mind?

Do we have any plans for what is going to happen in the remainder of the journey? Should we have any more attacks or should we all play it cool until we get to the place with the message? Maybe we could have a huge battle at the site and we fight against a huge camp of bandits.

Then, if we wanted to extend this awesome rp we could have one of the bandits tell us that the message has been carried off somewhere else.

Or we could let the rp die in peace

What do you guys think?

I'm really sorry, but I fear that I don't have so much time as I would want recently and I must reduce my RPs to be able to participate in the remaining ones properly.
Radavik could depart with Orchalie's group of rangers or he could travel with you and be silent, what is better or you... When I have more time, he will return.
