Due to the hacking of the site yesterday sadly some welcoming messages were deleted.
So I will repeat my welcome to Phoebe and Miluiel93 once again . Many greetings and welcome to the site, feel free to join in with our wonderful and friendly community! They will be pleased to meet you and to discuss Tolkien's and PJ's works with you.
Another Belgian, jej I'm a native one Miluiel93 . Our elvish lessons will surely help you out with learning Sindarin or Quenya.

I'm Calamornië and a student in the US. I found CoE when I was looking up various Tolkien sites on Google. As for interests, LotR is an obvious one, but I also like just about any fantasy and several mythologies ("like" as in they're interesting; I'm a Christian!) I hadn't read the books when the movies came out, so I didn't see them until about two years after RotK. I've also read The Silmarillion, the first two books in HoME, and The Children of Húrin.

I stumbled upon this site because i got interested in learning Quenya. I have watched all three movies and read the Silmarillion (one of my favorite books read it 3 times) and the "Fellowship of the Ring"

Hi everyone,
I'm Dawn and I live in beautiful Wisconsin. Just wanted to thank you for the lovely site - I've gotten a lot of useful information and ideas already. I'm 40 and have been in awe of Tolkien since I was about 10...and yes, like a lot of "the oldies," I do have my original paperbacks, including a crumbling copy of The Hobbit that belonged to my Uncle when he was in college. There's something very noble about the novels and their appeal has never diminished for me, so I feel a great sense of relief that there are still devoted fans out there!

Greetings-

I am new to the board and wanted to say hello to everyone. At present I have watched Fellowship and Two Towers and have read both books and working on Return. It took me a few times to get into them but once I did I fell in love with them. I am a costumer and am also into pirates, Harry Potter, Star Wars and classic monster movies. I live in Louisiana and am getting married on Halloween of this year. For the reception I am going as Qui Gon Jinn but with a heavier beard as I have started researching a Dwarve costume and will be growing my beard in for it. I look forward to learn more of Tolkien's work as well as make some new friends.

Hello all! My name is Narmiriel and I'm a 23 year old from the USA. I absolutely love anything Tolklein. This began when I first watched the Fellowship of the Ring. I loved it so much that I read all of Tolkein's works, with the exeception of the Children of Hurin which wasn't out yet. I took a break from reading Tolkein because I was starting college. Now I'm sort of getting back in the swing of things. I had a friend at this site by the name of Mirlomion but that was a long time ago. I absolutely love your site.

Hi! I'm new here. I am also forcing myself to type with proper punctuation and capitalization. :3

I'm going to be doing the sindarin lessons and I also was wondering who here (and where there may be a post for it) has an tattoos with elvish.

I play D&D and watch anime, and read books which I think are good. I also like talking to new people. Hm... I guess that about sums it up, ne?

I have no idea where exactly such posts might be, perhaps you can try using the 'search' option in the toolbar above the forums to track some threads bout tattoos down . If not, I think the 'Green Dragon Inn' forum might be a good place to start such a topic.

Hullo! Newbie here. My name, Rhinesilver, is a play on Rhinegold (if anyone's read the story) but you can call me Jenny or Jen if you want to. I'm almost sixteen, and I live in New England, in the U.S. I admit I've been mooning around on the site for a while before I actually decided to join. Very cool place, I remember finding it some time ago on Tolkien-gateway or summat.
I've been a fan of the books since 2007, and I only just saw the movies a couple months ago. I'm also an artist/writer with a thing for fanart/fanfics, though I admit I haven't been bold enough to post anything on web yet.
