He needed a bit of spring cleaning done and thought Finrod was just the mas for the job.

Why did the eagles only make an appearance at the end of the Lord of the Rings when they would have been very useful earlier on?

Gwaihir had become a bit vain about his looks, so the Eagles had to wait until he finally was finished with preening his feathers.

Why did Mount Doom really erupt when Gollum and the One Ring fell into his lava pits?

The volcano was having indigestion issues and, well, the addition of a warped Hobbit and some metal just pushed it over the edge.

Rosie really loved Frodo who claimed the title "Hero of Middle Earth" but he had no interest in her so Rosie had to settle with Sam who everyone called the "Hero's Shadow".

He was worried that they would be corrupted by Morgoths furiously good looks, and he had already lined up elf-maidens for them. The oath ensured that Morgoth would have to be killed before a relationship could develop. The Silmarils were just a cover story.

Why did the elves not trust Oromë when he first came to them?

"Morgoth loves Angainor"

Well, it's not well known but Oromë was noted for ... er, riding around in his small clothes as he just loved the feel of leather against his skin and hadn't figured out he could actually buy leather pants, so they thought he was just a bit "off".

He hated that some of the Elves were prettier than him, so he surrounded himself with the ugliest creatures, much like the Evil Queen in Snow White just had to be the prettiest one.

Why did the Eagles really come to fight in the Battle of Five Armies?

"Morgoth loves Angainor"

They were bored and wanted to do something other than flying around in circles.

Why did Saruman use crebain to track the Fellowship?

Melkor is the Elder King

He thought they would help him, not knowing that way back during the quest for Erebor (aka The Hobbit) Roäc had told all of the crow / raven relatives "do not trust the white dude!"

Why did Gandalf insist that Merry and Pippin should be part of the Fellowship of the Ring (aside from filling up their number to 9 to equal the 9 Ringwraiths)?

"Morgoth loves Angainor"

He thought they were very entertaining and they would lift the spirits of the rest of the Fellowship when things got dicey.

Why didn't Bilbo just tell Gollum some jokes instead of trying to compete in a riddle contest?

Frankly, Bilbo was the most boring person ever. If Gandalf had not forced him into that adventure he would never have had an interesting thing to say. He didn't know any jokes, and he hated them anyway.

How did Gollum manage to follow Sam and Frodo without being seen to the cracks of Doom?

Haha, hilarious!

It is said that Bag End has a magical power, which makes the owner of the property furiously good looking, and attractive to fair hobbit-maidens...

Why did the Balrog decide to pursue Gandalf, when he could have just gone back to his lair instead of wasting so much effort fighting?

He was still mad about being left with the bill at lunch in the Second Age.

The purple wizzard has a permanent room in the prancing pony, instead of paying for it , in his spare time, he sings karaoke to entertain the guests .
The red wizzard went of to study cave trolls and hasnt been heard of since.

Apparently cave trolls smell bad, how would you discribe their scent?

He didnt have the right laundry detergent. He got some realy usefull tips from the Balrog while they were 'fighting' ( They were actually discussing an upcoming test for their single men home ec class, aside from the subject of laundry the Balrog is a very poor housekeeper. Hence Gandalfs remark: 'You shall not pass' )

If Gandalf became the white wizzard then who became the grey?

The Moria Balrog was the only one left in Middle-Earth after the end of the First Age. All others were taken back to Valinor and given the task of keeping Aulë's forges hot.

What did Gandalf (The White) and Tom Bombadil chat about after Gandalf left the four Hobbits to go on to the Shire by themselves?

What was Radagast's reaction to being awarded the dubious brown robe?
