Oof, long time ago (HS graduation 1973!)
Reading books in the library, and taking them out to read at home.

TPBM - subjects in school that you did not like then (probably mostly due to teachers and / or curriculum), but have discovered to be fascinating now that you can make your own choices?

Probably English. Once we got past all the stupid grammar rules and stuff, English became one of my favorite subjects, and still is.

With the animal Homo sapiens (an arrogant self-description, Pan semisapiens is much closer to the truth) running amok on this planet, no other species is safe - not that millions of Pan semisapiens are safe from their species fellows, for that matter.
