Would you rather help destroy the two lamps or the two trees

Well, technically, Ungoliant destroyed the Two Trees, so that leaves me with the Two Lamps.

Would you rather cross Emyn Muil, or the Dead Marshes?

Emyn Muil
Would you rather fight with the Hobbits to defend the Shire or fight with the Elves to defend Lothlorien?

oooh .... Elves take it every time. *drools*

Would you rather ride to Minas Tirith with Gandalf, or to Mordor with Fingolfin?

I'd probably ride with Gandalf. We'd definitely end up getting diverted and seeing more along the way.

Would you rather dance with Galadriel or Lúthien?

Gando keeps diplomatic silence. Thingol and Gimli are probably giving him the eye...

I'd go for Galadriel, I don't want to end up in Thingol's prison.

Would you prefer being imprisoned by Thranduil, or Thingol?

Ah, no, first of all the thread is somewhat of a "skip over" for me.

And then I know what the high point of my dancing "skills" was, long ago and involving keeping a minimum distance to my partner's feet. So any dancing I could imagine being customary in JRRT’s M-e …

Gals, do you really want to imagine Galadriel and Lúthien using language that would makes sailors employed by the corsairs of Umbar while playing a game of poker (or other gambling stuff) blush with embarrassment?!?

Don't worry, my brain hasn't migrated into the figure skating universe yet. Not completely at least. It's just that my line of thinking was somewhat convoluted. I went for the guys who are the most protective of these ladies, and at the same time the meanest. No such a person with Galadriel so I went for Gimli and his axe (in case Gando would prefer Luthien), but Thingol's aversion to mortals that have anything to do with his daughter is a matter of legend... hence Thingol and Gimli in place of the hubbies.

I choose to interpret that as a this or that question, so I'll go with a Yes, sure I do. It's amusing.

Depends. Either post-Smaug Erebor, or pre-balrog Moria.

The Green Dragon sounds like it would be more fun.

The library in Minas Tirith, or Elrond's library?

Elrond’s library. By all scant accounts the one in Minas Tirith leaves something to be desired for order and dustiness.

Bag End. The Last Homely House sounds too much like a palace, which probably means horrendous upkeep costs.
