yes i know there are more males then females but that is just the way it is, i also wish i could include all of the hobbits and Gollum and so on, but that would be a lot of characters...

What did you think of The Children of Hurin?

Loved it and will read it again.
It was ok.
It was overrated, just a repeat of information.
Didn't like it at all.

I would add that specifically to the Last Homely House - The Hall of Fire...I would love to see that! Heck, I would love to have the whole place (floor plans and all) shown on screen...But then I am daughter to Elrond...

As for a poll - as I haven't been on here long, I don't know all the polls that were done (not sure where I could find the older ones)...here's mine:

Here's another idea for a poll:

When the second Hobbit movie comes out should it be:

a) a precursor to the Lord of the Rings trilogy; showing how Frodo gets adopted, Aragon being told of his heritage, etc

b) a way of understanding everything pertaining to the LOTR films by way of a backstory - the choice of the peredhil (Elrond and Elros)and the story of Elwing and Earendil, Luthien and Beren, the fall of Gondolin, etc

c) or do a judicious combination of both a and b

d) other

1. None whatsoever! No trailers, interviews, nothing.
2. Just the trailers, maybe a few interviews.
3. I won't watch overly revealing spoilers.
4. I'm enjoying every single delicious morsel!

I think this is a great poll suggestion, Nenya May I suggest a '(which one?)' after Orc, and '/werewolf' after wolf as the terminology seems to vary? The omission of Nazgul is deliberate, isn't it?

As for the wolves, I was thinking of those in The Hobbit and the white ones that crossed the the frozen Brandywine River. I didn't remember Morgoth's creations.

No, I didn't think the Nazgûl were *creatures* since they were once men. Although now that I think about it, the Uruk-hai could be considered similarly, since they were supposedly a blend of men and orcs. Also, I ran out of room.
