Poor Haldir...he doesn't have his own topic....doesn't anyone like him...?
*Raises hand* I do!

Mods Note: Edited the title of this thread to include "Craig Parker" since discussion included not only the chatacter, but the actor as well.

WE LOVE HALDIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, not the movie Haldir, but our CoE Haldir

anyway, there's a very good reason why Haldir doesn't have his own topic

is he:
a) cuddly
b) cute
c) extremely girllike
d) filthy
e) funny

answer: none of the above

so, he does not qualify for drooling, just like poor Gollum and wonderful Christopher Lee

I thought Haldir was awesome in the books! Very very cool! But in the movie PJ made him into such a dork it wasn't even funny...

Haldir, Queen of the Forest?

Not the movie Haldir, but I do think the book Haldir was very cool.

Hey Figgy...I'll drool for Gollum!

I do agree that the Haldir in the books (the original if you will) was far more "cool" than the movie-version.
(Of course his part in the books was greater but still...)

I wouldn't have minded seeing more of him in the film and, so far as I know, there'll be a bit more Haldir footage in the November DVD set. Even though he was only in the movie for a brief period, the actor who played him (I really ought to check the credits and figure out his name) did an excellent job. Very Elvish.

Well, I adore book and movie Haldir. He's deliciously haughty and sexy. I wouldn't kick Craig Parker outta my bed either. Yummy. I also have a wicked crush on Orophin. *grins*

I liked Haldir, just thought we didn't really see much of him in the movie. However, according to some, we'll see more of him later (sadly, only in TTT). Perhaps when the November DVD comes out we'll get more.

Haldir is just adorable! He is just awsome! OMG, I can't stress this enough! Just LOVE him! WHY didn't he have a bigger part? WHY did PJ make it so small?! I really hope (for his sake) that it's much more of him at the extended DVD!!!!!!!!!

Never fear, Lozza is here!!!

*flashes her I LOVE Haldir shirt at everyone*

Haldir is probably my favourite character. I have a thing for minor characters. I know I must sound like a bit of a traitor at the moment Yano, but we really don't get to see much of the twins even in the book. My interest in Haldir does not extend to drooling though. I reserve that for my tall dark and handsome with pointy ears, however Craig Parker is another matter all together.

It's ok Lozza. I can't agree that I find Haldir to be exceedingly hot and sexy, but I love the way he says "the dwarf breathes so loud we could have shot him in the dark"

I don't find Haldir attractive at all. I don't find blonds attractive, but his character in the movie is just so typically elven and he was fantastic in the book.
Like I said. I reserve my drooling for TD&H w/ PE You know of whom I speak

I think it's Glorfindel. They've been getting down and dirty, and THAT'S why he had to send Arwen instead.

Either that or Glorfindel and Tom Bombadil have been hiding something from us.

mmmmm..... no, that wouldn't explain why he's trying to seduce a Fellowship member....

nono, I have to stick with Aragorn
