Nydailynews report that a number of organisations, including Time Warner, are showing interest in MGM. Robert Routh, analyst at Natexis Bleichroder, states, “An MGM deal would help Time Warner – which backed the hugely successful “Lord of the Rings” trilogy – make a movie based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit”.
Comingsoon.net report that The Extended Edition of RotK will be released in December. According to the article, “the extended edition took longer to produce because cast members, now filming new projects, had to be rounded up from all over to complete their commentaries”.
