Because the "Big People" kept trying to adopt solitary Hobbits that they met, thinking they were orphaned children (which is why the Hobbits had become so averse to travel and "adventures" ).

Elves were jealous of the female dwarves which is why they were seldom seen as the male dwarves had to keep them concealed inside their mountain halls.

Actually, he had become disgusted with the One Ring and living under the mountains. So he just followed Frodo and Sam to keep them out of trouble, hoping to follow them back home to the Shire once they were done with their quest.

The dungeons were really a mess, so Sauron, knowing about Finrod's ability to rule underground places, hoped that Finrod would be able to get the dungeons cleaned up.

Lúthien knew (she's half Maia, in case you've forgotten!) that a Silmaril would enhance the beauty of any woman who wore it, and didn't want more that one (which she rightly guessed would be hers) around!

Why did Fëanor create exactly three Silmarils, not more and not less?

Confronting Fëanor was a later legend. Actually, Míriel, Fëanor's mother, had finally become lonely in Mandos and telepathically informed Melkor that the Silmarils were at Formenos. She also knew that only Finwë and not Fëanor was there, so making sure that Finwë would join her in Mandos.

Property, of course, lots and lots of acres of beach front property that he got for a song (literally) and built a beautiful home on. In Valinor he had to live with a nagging sister and a brother who kept losing, or breaking, his best tools.

Frodo's feet hair got singed off while he was walking through the planes of Mordor, and a Hobbit without hair on his feet is just not a real Hobbit (Merry's and Pipin's on the other hand grew like weeds from the Ent-draughts).

Why did Eowyn really attack the Witch King?

To try and track Gandalf's movements, which he found almost impossible. Anything else he found was purely by coincidence and did not hold his interest in the least.
