list! Gollum, Merry, Pippin, Legolas, Eowyn, and HALDIR!!! my haldir! lol (jk) Also, I love the way PJ did the Witch King...he looked fantastic!

Seriously, though, Haldir is my absolute favourite! But I love the other characters I listed too! Ah, heck, I just love 'em all! :love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love:

My absolute favorite is definitely Sam!

My other favorite characters are Éowyn:love:, Aragorn, Gandalf and Faramir.

It's hard to decide with some characters, for me. They all have something to offer to the Fellowship.

I guess, my favorite is Legolas. He is very beautiful! I just can't resist. LOL! He is also a very loyal friend to Aragorn. I love that. He stayed in middle earth until Aragorn died. Arwen is my second favorite. She chose to give her life to Aragorn. Sam is my third favorite. He never abandoned Frodo, and risked his life for him. I also like Pippin. He is adorable, funny, and very optimistic. My favorite scene with Pippin is when he and Merry find Saroman's store room.

Oops! I can't believe that I forgot Gandalf! He is, obviously, has been given great power! He is also funny at times. He is good at pretending to be a frail old man. LOL! I think I will put him right after Legolas, in my list. hehehe

Just from the books, I would have to say Eowyn, Aragorn, Legolas and Faramir in The Return of the King.

hmmm...my favourite characters in the movies would have to be Faramir :love:, Eowyn, Legolas and Pippin. I love the way these characters came across in the movies, and I think the actors did a fantastic job of these characters - particularly David Wenham :love:

I have such a huge crush on Frodo but my favorite character would have to be Boromir for FotR and Theoden for RotK and TTT with Frodo in second for both. i also like aragorn even if he is a bit overly controlling.

I´m not in the list XDDDD
But I have many fav´characters, thinkin´in books (And their movie portrayal) it´s not easy to choose.
FOTR: My choise is Gandalf (Books and movie)
TTT: Aragorn and Faramir (Books) and Saruman, Lee is great as Saruman.
ROTK: Faramir and Denethor
T´ first part of t´ book is fascinating, and `The Pyre´ (In book) is a very dramatic moment of ROTK, so sad, and I think in movie actors Wenham and Noble portrayed very good t´ essence of character even tought those cuts and changes

(Have to disagree with cuts and changes XDDDD `cuase it created a wrong concept `bout characters) And if you see Denethor very close, thinkin´in t´book, find out Noble shows real character, not exactly t´ senseless villain with Faramir movie made of him . At least in that point.

Hm... Èowyn-Best lady in Middle Earth, Legolas-Such a great personality and great friend to Aragorn,Pippin-Doesn't see the seriousness in the happenings in the start, but end up as Peregrin the brave at last,but still happyhobbit, Shadowfax/Arod-Love those horses. Loves also Hasufel,Firefoot,Bill the pony,Asfaloth,Brego,Snowmane and on and on and on

Faramir, in both the books and the movies.

There's really not a character I dislike, except maybe Sauron. He's just not very complex. He's evil and that's it, but it works for the story.
