Pippin: What about breakfast?
Aragorn: You've already had it!
Pippin: We've had one yes. What about second breakfast?
Merry: Don't think he knows about that Pip.
Pippin:What elvenses, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper?

I've always though it was funny in Two Towers when Frodo, Sam, and Gollum are in the marshes, and Frodo says "Don't touch me!" to gollum

Haha, that was great!
My second favorite is:
Great. So, where are we goin?

But the funniest line EVER that I laughed at in the movies was:
Would you like me to describe it to you, or would you like me to find you a box?
That was sooo funny!!!

Merry to Pippin: "You've done something!"

Nothing else in the movies ever came close to how much I laughed at that point

Apart from the second breakfast thing, which has already been mentioned, my favourite is Gimli in ROTK "Certainty of death, small chance of success. What are we waiting for?"

Mine would be....

Legolas: Would you like me to describe it to you, or would you like me to find you a box

Pippin: What about breakfast?
Aragorn: You've already had it!
Pippin: We've had one yes. What about second breakfast?
Merry: Don't think he knows about that Pip.
Pippin:What elvenses, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper?

Gimli: Certainty of death, small chance of success. What are we waiting for?

And............

Legolas: Final count.... 42.
Gimli: Forty-two? Oh, that's not bad for a pointy-eared Elvish princeling. I myself am sitting pretty on 43.
Legolas: Forthy-three.
Gimli: He was already dead.
Legolas: He was twitching.
Gimli: He was twitching because he's got my ax embedded in his nervous system!

I like it when Gimli falls off his horse, and then says, "It was deliberate, it was deliberate!".
I also like the "Would you like me to describe it, or shall I get you a box?" that Legolas says in TT.

Quest..

Thing."

"Well, that leaves you out, Pip."

In the movies, almost anytime Pippin opens his mouth it's funny! Even the throwaway lines. Here's one that hasn't been mentioned yet:

While the Fellowship stands around waiting for Gandalf to figure out the Dwarvish riddle at Moria's Gate...
Pippin: "Nothing's happening."

That was enough to make me snort!

'Course, my favorite funny line from the book wasn't included (so I included it in my sig.- it was Legolas on Caradhras).

I think the funnyest is is Legolas saying: "Would you like me to describe it, or shall I find you a box?".
Also when Gimli is telling Eowyn how dwarf women get mistaken for dwarf men, and Aragorn says: "it's the beards!"

Thank you, Bookfaramir! I'm surprised somebody didn't say that one earlier. I know everybody goes on about the corny-ness of the Mumak scene, but that's what makes this line so great. It's like this whole build up for Legolas-is-the-coolest-because-he-pulls-impossible-stunts, and then it goes straight back to Legolas-is-a-pansy-who-Gimli-likes-to-mock.

I have sooooo many favorite lines! But I guess I'll list a few unsaid ones!

Frodo: Go on Sam! Ask Rosie for a dance.
Sam: I think I’ll just have another ale!

Merry: That was good!
Pippin: Let’s get another one!

Frodo: What are you doing?!
Merry: Tomatoes, sausages, nice crispy bacon.
Sam: We saved some for you Mr. Frodo.
Frodo: Put it out you fools! Put it out!
Pippin: Oh that’s nice! Ash on my tomatoes!

Merry: He’s remembered!
Gandalf: No, but the air doesn’t smell so foul down here.

Pippin: The closer we are to danger, the farther we are from harm.......

AND SO ON AND SOFORTH!!!!!!! I could probably quote all the moives if I wanted

from FotREE and FotR

Random hobbit talking to Rosie: O sweet maiden..!
Frodo: Don't worry, Sam, Rosie knows an idiot when she sees one.
Sam: Does she?

And, the "go on, sam, ask rosie for a dance"

And,
Frodo: I think a servant of the enemy would look fairer and feel fouler
Merry: He's foul enough!

OMG there's so many things that makes me laugh... I love the "second breakfast" thing in FotR,

I also love it when frodo ask butterbur if gandalf has arrived and butterbur says: "Gandalf? Gandalf? Ohh yes! I remember, elderly chap, big gray beard, pointy hat... Not seen him for 6 months."

when pippin says: "Anyway you need people of intelligence on this sort of mission, quest... thing."
and merry says: "Well that rules you out Pip." (ForR)

"Greate! Where are we going!"said by Pippin, also in FotR,

in TT EE when Eowyn gives aragorn some of her "very tasty" soup...

during the battle of helmsdeep when legolas says "shall I describe it to you, or get you a box" (not shure if that's the exact words, but you understand what I mean...)

when gimli says to aragorn "toss me, but don't tell the elf" also during the battle of helmsdeep

in RotK when gandalf, aragorn, legolas, gimli, theoden + the other rohan soldiers arrives at isengard and pippin and merry welcomes them (it's funnier in the book though...)

when gimli says "that only count as one" in RotK...

"Now, listen carefully. Lord Denethor is Boromir's father. To give him news of his beloved son's death would be most unwise. And do not mention Frodo, or the Ring. And say nothing of Aragorn, either. In fact, it's better if you don't speak at all, Peregrin Took." (gandalf befor he and pippin enter denethor's hall (or whatever it's called..)

Gollums inner fight has to be the funniest (don't know the quote exactly)

Smeagol "But master is friend"
Gollum "You havn't got any friends!"
Gollum "Murderer!"
Smeagol "No! no! not listening" *covers his ears*

then.....

"Go away"
"What did you say?"
"Go away and never come back"

then....

"We told him to go away and off he went" *dances*

P.S - The beard thing was also rather funny - liked the fact Gimli fell off his horse after

- P.P.S on TTT Extended when Aragorn tries to pour the orrible soup away, and Eowynne keeps coming back,

Pippin says so many funny things, hard to pick just one!
Although my favourite is "Anyway, you need people of intelligence on this sort of mission...quest...thing!"
Gimli is great too, for example: "There's plenty for the both of us, may the best dwarf win!" in RotK and ofcourse the "That only counts as one"-line after Leggy kills the Mûmakil...
Gandalf saying to Pippin to just keep his mouth shut when they arrive at Minas Tirith was funny too.

I love it when Pippin get's hit with an apple by Aragon in the first movie, it's just legendary! Also when Gollum goes to Sam "You ruins it!". Ummm the face that Pippin pulls when he finds out how..errr...'filling' the Lembas bread is. I don't know there are quite a few. But I'd have to say when Tree Beard says "Well it doesn't make sense to me...but then you are very small..."
Ok There are heaps, i don't really think there is a best line...

Pippin as the funniest lines!
One of my favorite which hasn't been mentioned is in the The Two Towers Extended Edition:
Merry: The world is back to normal, isn't(not exact words)
Pippin: No it isn't, I am starving
I love that one!

Gimli: What’s happening out there?

Legolas: Shall I describe it to you, or would you like me to find you a box?

And also merry and pippin at the gates of Isengard:

Pippin: I feel like I'm back at the Green Dragon after a hard day's work.

Merry: Only, you've never done a hard day's work.

I remembered another bit that always makes me laugh....

Pippin: The closer we are to danger, the farther we are from harm. It’s the last thing he’ll expect.

Treebeard: Hm. That doesn’t make sense to me, but then, you are very small. Perhaps you’re right. South it is then. Hold on little Shirelings. (turning around) I always like going south, somehow it feels like going down hill.

Frodo: 'Roast Chicken'
Frodo: 'Don't touch me!'
Aragorn: 'Eighty-Seven'

and a funny part is when in TTT EE in the extended marshes part when it shows Sam's EXTRA fat face!

I like the part when Frodo, Sam and Gollum are right in front of Minas Morgul in Return of the King. Frodo starts walking towards the gates and Gollum shouts, "What's it doing?!" That was hysterical.
