This thread is based on a young elf man trying to overcome a terrible accident that left his girlfriend/nearly wife dead. He is now wandering about looking for answers to his lifes most hard questions. Anyone is free to join but I ask you to check out my OCC thread about it. Thanks.

*******************************
Hallen watched as the storm crossed the valley. The crack of thunder, the split in the sky caused him to think. What had just happened? He wasn't sure. All he could really remember is blood, lots of it. It was all over him. On his hands, face, arms, even his clothing. He looked down at himself. He was still covered in blood, well atleast some of it. In a desperate attempt, he tried to wash it away.
He sat under a tree, huddled in his cloak and he began to cry. These tears ment something more than he could remember.
"What is worng with me," he spoke aloud, "Why can't I live on."
Despite the fact that he seemed to forget, he remembered alot, maybe to much. He remembered his girlfriend, Niola. She was a beautiful raven haired elf of Hunvel. He fell in love with her when he came there for permint residence after moving from Lorien.
He also remembered that terrible night when a figure of darkness came into her room and slite her throat. He had heard her scream and ran to her. But it was too late, she was dieing. He picked up her head and held her close. She tried to talk, but blood came up from her mouth and choked her. He began to cry but she held her hand to her mouth and told him not to. Then with the light in her eyes slowly disappearing, she died. He cried aloud and ran from Hunvel. Now he was here. In the forest which name was unknown.

He held his knife occwardly in his hand, it shook vilently about as he neared it to his wrist. "What else can I do," he said aloud. He placed it on him and almost cut but heard a strange nose coming from the depth of the woods. He ducked behind a tree stump and watched for the coming person.

(that is soo sad...my char will be in the db soon so you can check her out...)

Liadan walked through the forest humming a light song absentmindedly. Her harp was strapped to her back and she was far from her home. All of these things made her wistful and happy at the same time.
If there were anyone to dance with, she would. She was not accustomed to sorrow and was rather naive for an elf. She had been raised to be light-hearted and winsome. Her brothers had been raised to be the grave, sorrowful ones.
She pitied them, they were never truly happy in the way that she was. Her happiness was something that often made others misunderstand her. For she never did quite see things the way the rest of her family did.
Liadan stopped to rest, and sat down near a thick Rowan tree, she wondered what all the tree had seen in its lifetime, then shook her head and smiled at the tree.
Then she noticed something move behind the tree...
"Who is there?" She said this softly, and curiously. she wondered if she could turn this into a song later...

(Yay! Two of my favorite people in the same thread! Howdy guys!)

Methven put her hands up to the straps of her pack. She was so far from Rivendell, and as much as she loved the forest, this one seemed dark and even dismal. She was not really sure where she was headed, she had planned on travelling to Lorien, where her cousins lived. But Methven was not thrilled about the idea. She needed a good fight, something to get her blood rushing, to finally feel alive after 100 years of nothing. Her sharp ears picked up a sound, and she snapped to alert instantly. Someone was humming, on the other side of the trees. She saw a shadow pass, and voices. No one voice. "Who is there?" It was a she-elf. Methven found a gap in the trees and came through, finding on the other side, an elf, hand on a tree. "Hello." Methven approached, and saw some one behind the tree. She glanced at the elf. "I have not seen another elf in a good many days, so forgive me if I sound forward. I'm Methven, I just heard you singing, and..," She looked over to the tree again,"Whoever is behind the tree, please come out.We mean no harm."

(sorry I know it's corny and odd, I wasn't sure how to get her involved lol...)

(Hey! My character is in the DB so if you want to check that out...

And this sounds interesting. Hope you don't mind if I give it a try? And I did read the OOC)

Myrrima felt odd. She had this feeling that she should...how should she put it...not be here. But this was home. SHe saw no reason not to be here! She felt a pull on her heart, on her soul. No, she could not stay in this place. Something else was pulling her onward, to a different place.

Myrrima obeyed her feeling. If there was one thing she knew about herself, she knew that she needed to follow her feelings for they had often, in the past, brought her somewhere that she needed to be, something like her fate she guessed you could say. She walked forward, bow over her shoulder. She heard voices up ahead. Now, what could that be? she wondered. Her curiousity drew her on now. SHe climbed a tree and looked down to find three people. Or, more exactly, three elves. She almost smiled in amusement, but something told her that this was not something to laugh about. THis was something serious. She felt inside herself. She wanted to know if this was why she had been brought here. If this was the reason for the feeling. She waited.

(mook! this is completely awesome now...my char is an elf...^_^ yay...mook is here...^_^)

Liadan glanced around the tree, then turned to face the newcomers. She hadn't expected to meet so many in such a short time. She smiled at the two and stood to greet them.
"I am Liadan, we have not met before."
Liadan said this as a fact, then smiled even wider. She darted around the tree stump to see who it was. She had meant to be playful, but then saw his face. She knelt in front of him and saw the knife in his hands, then slowly reached out to take the knife.
" You do not wish to cut yourself, that would be a grave mistake indeed."
Liadan slowly grasped the man's wrist, not wanting to startle him, then tried to pry the knife from his hand. Surely he hadn't meant to harm himself...
"what is your name?" Liadan kept talking, hoping that she was worried for nothing, and wondering what could have made him wish to end his life. She tried to make her voice soothing, in the hopes that he would hear her and understand.
"come, you must meet us and make friends, surely that is why we are here." She smiled again and tried to help him to his feet.

(erkay...that was..corny....^_^)

Hallen couldn't believe his eyes. Three strangers all coming at the same time. This was indeed a strange event. He tried to hide, but elves, as he knows, are very observant.
He realized that it might look odd that he had blood all over him so he rapped up tightly in his cloak and curled up in a ball.
One of the elves stooped infront of him and looked concerned. She took the knife and asked him questions. He didn't really listen to her. His thoughts were on that one thing and no other. He stood up, his hands were tense and his shoulders were like rocks. He seemed to be witched in some way.
Forgive me," he said at length, "I didn't expect to run into anyone. I'll be leaveing."
Before he could leave, the sun came out and put light on the situation. His clothing and his blood staned hands were in full view. He tried to hide, but couldn't.

(MOOK! I'm excited. hehe. Hi everyone else. gald to see yah to.

(Yay! This will be fun!)

Methven observed the elf. He was quite young, in pain, she could tell that at a glance. She stepped towards him as the light fell apon his hunched frame. As she leaned forward, her dark brown hair fell in to her face, she put a hand out and studied the clothing. He was apparently not hurt. "This is not your blood." She said quietly. "What happened?" Her brown eyes glowed with worry and she glanced into the back wood. "Please tell us."

(Thanks reisil, for telling me you're an elf. I can get so confused at times! This will be so fun!)

Myrrima stood behind them, evaluating the situation. SHe had climbed out of the tree once she had learned as much as she could. This was why she was here, she knew. She put a hand on the elf's shoulder, hoping to comfort him. She had seen his face. It was full of pain. It hurt her to just see how much pain he was in. Her eyes filled with grief as she looked at him. Her heart almost broke to see that!! THen her eyes went wide, and she became calm. She had seen the blood on him. She said, in the calmest voice she had ever used, "Please tell us." she echoed the elf that had just talked. Then, in her own words, "We cannot help if we know nothing of what happened. That is all we want to do." she glanced at the other two elves and nodded to herself. SHe was pretty sure that was why they were here too. She sat down beside the hurt elf and began singing a song. It was sad, yet full of hope. SHe hoped it would help him. She was singing quiety, quietly enough that she didn't know if the others would be able to hear her, and quietly enough that she could still her his answer to their questions, even if he talked in a whisper.

Hallen spoke slowly, as if to gather his thoughts.
"I am Hallen son of Threodeion. I come orginally form Lorien and resently moved to Hunvel..." he pasued for a moment and spoke more softly this time, "I witnessed something terrible...my love, my love...." his voice broke and he could no longer hold it in. His elven hands seemed aged terribley by his pain and his face, contorted in fear.
He looked at the brown haired elf in front of him, "You remind me of her."
this caused him to cast his vision from her.
"I loved her too much, that was the problem..."
Then in a wild ruse he seemed to think of something outlandih.
"What if they think I did it!"
He stood up and grabed the knife from Methven and tried to plung it into himself. But fell short when he seemed to have little strengh.

He turned to the group of amazed elves and said to them, "Love is not worth it! It never was. I can see it in your eyes that you love someone, but who? How do you know that when you return from your happy walk in the woods that they will still be there! How do you know? The cost of love is too much." With that he ran off toward the tree and fell apon it. He cried, hoeing someone would just kill him.
And in that moment and said softly over and over again, "She's dead, shes dead, shes dead."

Liadan realized that she did not understand his pain, that she could not. She wasn't in love with anyone, and didn't ever really think about what it would be like. She reached for the knife, then took it and walked a little ways away.
She sank the knife into the ground, then stepped on the handled to shove it all the way beneath the earth. Her eyes filled with tears for this elven stranger. What had happened?
Liadan moved over to kneel next to the singing one, then unstrapped her harp and began to play softly, what else could she do? She was not one to ask for comfort, she was only one to give happiness, and soft smiles.
Liadan knew that these things were not hers to give to this one, he could not accept them so near to his pain. She looked from one elf to another, she was over young, compared to the others she was only a child amongst elders.

Myrrima felt tears running down her face. What had happened to him? She knew, oh, she knew very well. She walked back over to Hallen and put a hand on his head, stroking his hair. SHe knew how to comfort people, that was one of the things she knew oh so well. She said to him, in a quiet, stern voice, but a voice full of feeling, "Hallen. Don't ever say that. Don't you ever say that! Love is a great thing. To love is to live. To have known love is one of the greatest gifts you can know in life." she paused. "and you are right. I do love someone, though I don't know about the other two. I love life. I love my family. And yes, I love another elf. But I do not think that there is such a thing as loving too much. No, it is not true! The cost of love is happiness, and that is something that you need to live."

Myrrima looked down at Hallen. In a whisper she said, "And my name is Myrrima. I just thought you ought to know." then she sat beside him, stoking his hair to calm him. His love must have been great for this to happen to him. She wondered what could have happened to his love to make him feel this way. She sat there with him, listening to Liadan play her harp, and sang with it, softly.

(Ok I think we need some more guys, so I would like to bring in Methven's brother hope that's ok...he'll be in the db soon)

Methven stood silently, contemplating the situation. Yes, she had known some elves, but none of the relationships were that serious. Her family was back at home, her brothers, mother and father. She loved them dearly. She turned as a movement in the bushes caught her eye, and crept forward, thrust her hand in, and pulled out a guilty looking elf. "Tristain! What are you doing here?" She wasn't sure if she was angry or happy, her brother had been evesdropping. "Sorry Ven, I couldn't stay at home while you went out by yourself." He grinned and Methven's temper cooled. "How much have you heard?" She asked calmly. "Everything." He mumbled and they went to sit by the tree. "Meet Tristain." He sat down, his hands folded and dark eyes turned down. "By the way, I'm Methven."

((Hey, my favorite people all in one thread! Thought I'd join, this sounds way kool. Bláithín is in the DB, an elf like yourselves. Bláithín lives in Lorien, and I'm making her one of Niola's closest friends. She is just receiving the news of her friend's death. (And Hunvel, Silver. I love you. ))

Bláithín frowned at the letter that lay on her bed. Picking it up carefully and examining it, she saw it was addressed to her. Her eyes scanned the parchment, slowly filling with tears of disbelief as she read. No...No! Niola, oh Niola! More tears fell from her eyes, wetting the letter and blotting the words which brought her such grief. She sat down on her bed, quiet sobs filling the room at the fate of her dear friend. Oh, Hallen...How he must feel... She lay on her bed, sobbing, for how long she did not know. What Bláithín did know was that she must go to him, comfort her Hallen in his---and her---loss. Without thinking, all in a daze, she slid a warm coat on and began running, the letter still clutched in her hand

She was suddenly aware that she was no longer running, but flat on the ground. Bláithín looked up into the concerned eyes of her fiancé Bainnion, who was bending to lift her into his strong arms. "Bláithín, what on earth are you doing?" He observed her tear-stained face and his eyes softened. "What is the matter?"

"Niola...Hallen...oh I must go to him!" Bláithín cried. She shoved the letter into Bainnion's hands. He read it quietly, with the same concerned expression.

"Bláithín...," he began, intending to tell her how irrational she was behaving, but could not finish. He sighed. "Well at least take a horse. You cannot go gallavanting off to Hunvel in your bare feet."

Her fiancé's sweet eyes lifted her spirits momentarily, and she smiled at remembering why she had fallen in love with him. Bainnion led her to the stables, found her a suitable horse, and escorted her to the gate.

"Be careful," he said, kissing her forehead. The tears began to fall down Bláithín's cheeks again as she mounted the horse and rode toward Hunvel, thinking only of her dear friends and what ill fate had befallen them.

((I thought you needed some more guys. I hope you don't mind if I join.))

Bronn sat in the trees, watching the group. He had been hired to kill an elf that lived in these parts. He had just finished the job and now he had stumbled upon this group. He had blood on his own hands, just as the elf under the tree. He felt sorry for Hallen. From what he had heard, this guy had had a ruff time. He knew the feeling, but, maybe not in the same way. He dropped out of the trees and stood there. Wondering how long it would take for them to notice him. He looked at Hallen. It was never good when a man cried. Bronn observed the blood on this elf's clothes. He walked forward and into the light, He didn't say anything. He just watched them. He was not one for sympathy, and he wasn't really sure of what to do. So He stayed silent and watched.

Hallen sat silent after his passionate spell. He looked at the ground for a really long time and watched as the faint wind kicked up pieces of dirt. The trees moved softly with the breeze.
Hallens eyes were drawn to a figure not to far away from them. He lifted his eyes just enough to see it was a man(maybe?)
He wondered in his head who it was and why he was here.
He noticed after a moment that he had blood on him, his eyes widened and he stood up. The singing stopped and the harp.
He breathed heavly as if to hold back violence.
"What business is yours here," he paused for a moment, "Why do you carry blood on you that is not your own."

He felt energy rise within him, he was ready to attack.

Bronn raised an eyebrow then said "I am a sellsword, an assassin. I was hired to do a job around these parts."
He rested one of his hands on the hilt of his sword and eyed Hallen. He was suddenly conscious of the dried blood on his hands and on the handle of his knife. He was dirty and weather beaten.
"If I may ask, why are you all here? It is not often one finds this many people this far into the forest."
Bronn walked farther into the group, He looked around at their faces. He didn't care what they thought of him. He sat down in the middle of them all, He would trust them for now. Besides, He could take them if He needed to.

(This should add some drama!(not that we don't have enough already lol)
Methven stood sudenly. Her hate for these assasins, mercenairies these muderers was quite great and she felt her temper rising. "Who is it that you have killed this time? And tell us how much were you paid? Was it worth this person's life?" Her hand lay on her sword, and she felt Tristain move uncomfortably behind her.

((no kidding.. lol))
Bronn looked at her and said "Its none of you buisness. And why would you want to know?" He could see the hate in her eyes, But he didn't know if it was for his occupation or his race. He stood up and gripped the hilt of his sword. He kept the smile on his face but the imotiones were playing with him inside. He waited for her to speak.

(Mind if I join you? My character is up in the DB)

Before Methven could replay to what Bronn had said a gray mass shot across the forest and tackled the man to the ground. Seconds afterwards a young female came running into after the large wolf who pinned the man down.
"Hour, get of him this second!" A sharp whistle followed the command and the wolf quickly returned to his master's side. The female turned towards the man and grinned lightly.
"Sorrry about that, his been tracking a scent for a while now and he got overexited. He didn't mean any harm." She bent down to scratch the wolf's ears and looked around her for the first time. A group of people surrouned her. Odd for so many people to gather this deep in the forest, then again they could be a group of travelers She shrugged the thought away, it wasn't her buisness. She smiled brightly at the group and continued petting Hour. "Oh, by the way, my name is Alassë Yávëtil." She announced to the group in general without looking up.

(Hwdy!)

Methven felt her answer, cold and spitefull on the tip of her tounge. But sound of scufling, yelling and snarling overpowered her voice. She finaly decided that she was better off not to say anything anyways. The animal that had tackled the elf Bronn turned out to be a large wolf, it's master a female named Alassë. Methven cooled her temper and walked over to a tree, where she faced it and stared, very consentrated at the bark. Tristain sat up, he walked over to Alassë and put a hand on the wolf's head. Whispering, he leaned down. "If you were wondering why we are all here, there was a murder, an elf left distressed and without his love, and some travellers that stumbled across him." He explained solemly, and then lightening the mood, said with a smile. "By the way I'm Tristain, that's my sister over there sulking, that's Bronn, Hallen, Liadan and Myrrima."

Bláithín arrived at the gates of Hunvel exhausted and hungry. She quickly made her way to the house of Niola's mother, Nucumna. She was met with the old and saddened eyes of the elf.

"Bláithín, hello," Nucumna sighed. Her spirits were low, and she stumbled over her next words. "I trust you heard...the news?"

Bláithín nodded solemnly. Words failed her, but the old woman saw the sorrow and understanding in her eyes. "Nucumna," she said at last, "I need to find Hallen. Do you know where he is?"

Nucumna frowned and her sad eyes looked to the city gates. "Yes...poor lad. Left here about two days ago, heading east, right after..." The tears that had been building in her eyes finally spilled over, and she tried to mop them up with her hand. "Forgive me, dear, I am such a mess."

"No, no. It's all right." Bláithín smiled weakly and embraced the old elf. "Thank you." She left the house, more desperate than ever to find Hallen. Though tired and faint, she again mounted her horse and rode off away from Hunvel, determination keeping her awake. The wind rushing by her dried her tears, and she whispered silent prayers to find her dear friend.

She graced Tristain with a smile and a murmured thank you. Glancing down at her hands still resting in Hour's fur she noticed that he too was petting the larg wolf.
"Strange, Hour usually doesn't take much to strangers. Last one that tried to pet him lost use of his hand for a couple of months." She grinned at Tristain trying to see if he was nervous. Unable to read his expression she smiled once again before taking her pack off and sitting down in the ground next to her wolf. She looked up to Tristain while trying to keep her hands still. "Where are you from?"

(( Mook, I'm no elf. I'm a mortal ))

When the wolf tackled Bronn he had barely had time to Curse loudly and draw his knife before he fell to the ground. Just as he had barely had time to do anything before its owner called it off.
"Seven hells, I haven't seen a wolf in..." He stopped there and decided not to continue. He looked to the young (maybe?) girl in front of him. She looked strangly like. no.. He looked at her and spoke. "I do not have a home Alassë Yávëtil. I live where my work takes me." He turned to the group and said "Where are you all headed anyway?"

(hehe oops. And have you decided on Alasse"s race yet Stardust?lol, I don't know what to call her)

Tristain looked down, and after a moment, sat by the wolf, and owner. "Me? I'm from Rivendell, but I never stay for long, I love to go other places, why stay inside anyways, when there are other things to do, to see." He got a far off look in his brown eyes and shook his head, as if shaking out the thought. "Where are you from? And I don't mean to pry, but are you mortal or elf?"

Methven turned from the tree, her anger had been deaply buried, and now she sat on a large log, not far from where Hallen sat, staring blankly off into space. After a while, Methven decided to start a fire, for the night was becoming steadily colder. Soon, a warm blaze sat in the middle of the make-shift camp. Why was she here anyways? Why were they all here? She couldn't bring herself to say fate, but for now she had no other answer. She draped her dark hair over one shoulder, and leaned forward, staring into the fire, she thought deaply, and almost did not pick up the sound of hoof beats...

Liadan looked away from the group, there were too many people, she never had liked a large gathering, even if they were all there to hear her music. She stood up slowly, and walked a little ways away, whatever was wrong, these others could fix it themselves, and she could go on her way.
Perhaps they would not even notice her leaving, maybe they would forget that she had ever been there. Then no one would wonder where she was. She slowly, and quietly wrapped her harp in a long piece of cloth, then strapped it to her back.
She wondered if she should stay, then quietly began to creep off in the direction opposite of the group, she would only feel left out, these people were much too serious, and none of them would understand her anyway...
She had almost gotten far enough away to walk normally, but she had been so preoccupied that she hadn't paid attention to where she was going. She tripped and almost fell to her knees, her harp jangled against her back and made a few discordant notes before she felt every pair of eyes stare at her as she slowly turned around to face them with a rather red face.

(you all know you like comic relief....^_^)

(( I wonder if I should be the one who killed... hmm, that could get messy. maybe..))

Bronn sat down by the fire, directly across from Methven. He looked at the woods around him. He listened, He could here the elves talking, Surrounded by Elves... what a joy.. He also thought he heard.. hoof beats?
He looked around to find the direction they were coming from. He could barely make out the rider in the dark. "more company." He said quietly. He got up and walked towards Hallen. "So, who was this that died? must of been someone close for you to be this way."

Hallen sat most of the time in deep thought. He was not to interested in the new company, especially that of Bronn.
He watched them, curious of why people come together in such a way. He pressed the side of his head as a headache come upon him. The pains of crying and not sleeping for two nights was getting to him. He whispered elvish chants to himself to calm his nerves but the pain continued and increased. His eyes became unfocused and he drifted off into a sleep like state, though he was aware of things about him. Methven started a fire and the elf girl, Liadan fell. But he didn't find it much of asmusment and simply smiled.

He heard someone coming to him and he slowly opened his eyes. He looked up and noticed it was Bronn. He narrowed his eyes and stared at him for a while. Finally the man spoke, "So, who was this that died? must of been someone close for you to be this way."
Hallen clasped his hands together and thought of what he should tell this murderous man, "Well," he said softly, "She was an elf of Hunvel. Beautiful brown hair with the greatest grey eyes and elf can eevr have."
He stopped and looked at the man, hoping, in a way, that he would show signs of remembering if he had done this to her.
"Her name is Niola and I had loved her more than my own immortal life can describe."
He froze as if in a trance and looked off toward the sound of hooves.

(sorry, sorry. Haven't been able to answer for so long, I'm a little mesed up. How many people are here now? ANd I'm going to back track just a little bit.)

Myrrima stodd up and stood by Hallen as more people and elves gathered around. What was this? So many, all at once? She thought it alright when there were only four total, but how many were there now? five, six, seven? THis was so confusing. And she didn't like the looks of the assassin. What was his name? Oh, well. It didn't matter. One was just as bad as the rest. She glared at him at stodd resolutely by Hallen, refusing to move. SHe wanted to offer him protection and comfort. (Oh, by the way. Which one of us were you talking about way back when you said 'you look like her' or' you remind me of her' or something like that? It'll help unconfuse me.)

Myrrima then saw, out of the corner of her eye, Liadan sneaking off. What does she think she is doing? Maybe she is unconfortable, with so many here, thought Myrrima. She turned ehr head and stared at her, wondering if she would be able to feel her eyes on her back. Then she tripped and fell, her harp making a few, badly sounding notes. She smiled and giggled a little, but she felt too sorry for Hallen, she couldn't force out a huge laugh, like she usually would have.

A little while later, the assassin, Bronn?, yes that was his name, came towards Hallen. She bristled and stiffened. She dind't llike him one bit, and tried to tell him that through the way she acted. THen she heard the hoof beats. She wanted to whip around, on impulse, but wouldn't let herself get her eyes off of Bronn. She hated him. Disgusting, the way they do things. she thought. [i]How can they think that they are so much better that they can go killing off people for money!!?[i/] She glared at him, tears streaming down her cheeks, as she waited to see who it was the hoof beats brought.

(there, I think I am all caught up now. )

Bláithín had been riding hard nonstop for three hours ever since she caught sight of Hallen's bloody footprints---that is, she hoped they were his. Her heart pounded in her chest in anticipation as she entered the trees and slowed her pace. She rode onward, following the footprints, barely aware of her fatigue.

She finally caught sight of figures in the distance, crouched around a fire. Her heart stopped for a moment as she crashed through the trees and into the clearing. Bláithín set her eyes immediately on Hallen amongst a large group of people. She flung herself off her horse and tears fell from her eyes again.

"Oh Hallen!" she exclaimed as she threw out her arms to embrace him. But the sight of the blood, all that blood that covered him, stopped her short. "Hallen," she whispered, barely aware of the other people around watching her strangely, "what has happened to you?" Her eyes were round and watery, concerned yet ever so happy to see him again. Overcome by so many emotions, she finally wrapped her arms around her dear friend and sobbed onto his shoulder.

((This should help, Mook ))

She smiled at Tristain's wondering mind before she heard his question. What did it matter if she was an elf or a mortal? What difference did it make? But then again most people were curious about such things.
"You could say I am both,” She answered with a shrug and pulled back her hair to show slightly pointed ears. "As to where I come from, everywhere and anywhere. I have been traveling since as far back as I can remember, first with my ada and then with Hour alone. And for the moment I have no fixed destination, except getting to Minas Tirith but I am in no great hurry and my feet like to wonder." A full smile accompanied the words.
She sat quietly looking around at the strange group of people when she saw one of the females trying to get away from the group. That's odd. Suddenly the female tripped and a few odd chords of music filled the night air. Alassë felt a laugh escape her and she couldn't control herself. She bounced up and started walking towards the fallen elf. A second later the air was filled with hoof beats coming towards the group. Yet another female elf dismounted quickly and rushed towards Hallen. Things were getting stranger yet. She might have to stick around and see what happened. After all she always enjoyed a good bit of adventure, and an adventure it was going to be indeed with the motley crew that was gathering.

(( I love all this hatred. *laughs evily* ))

Bronn noticed when Hallen narrowed his eyes. Obviously he wasn't making himself a favorite. He listened to the description and the name. It suddenly hit him that it sounded alot like the woman he had.. He didn't let anything show, his face stayed friendly as he listened. It would not bode well to say anything now, not with this many swords around him. besides, it probably wasn't her. "I'm sorry." was all He said. He looked up and saw a rider come into the small camp. His eyes widened a bit when she came running towards the two of them.

Bronn scooted to the side so as not to get included in any way. He remembered the blood still on his hands and his knife, so He got up to find water to wash it off. As he walked through the small camp he noticed Myrrima's eyes on him and the tears on her face. but He didn't know what to make of that. He decided not to close his eyes for to long that night, maybe volunteer for a watch.. He laughed at this idea, they wouldn't trust him as far as they could throw him. He walked past the girl who had fallen, Liadan. He glanced down at her and smiled as he walked past. He found a stream and bent to wash the blood off his hands, then his knife.

Once he was finished he turned and began to walk back, all the while thinking why am I even going back? I don't have to. He stopped and glanced towards the fire light. He continued walking in that direction I wonder... Niola. was that her name? He tried to remember what the man who had hired him had told him. It had been a while ago. He sat down where the firelight met darkness, and listened.

Kahlan continued to glare at the assasin. No, she didn't like him. NOt one tiny bit. She left Hallen and the new comer, his friend, to comfort eachother. SHe felt they wanted her to stay away for awhile. She walked a little way off, and continued to watch Bronn, following when he got out of her sight. Finally she just walked up to him, when he was coming back from the stream.

"I don't know who you think you are!" she said, angrily. "But if you hurt a single one of my friends back there (for that was what she was thinking of them now), you will regret it for the rest of your life." Her voice turned deadly. "And if you think of running off, there will be an arrow in your back before you can blink. I give you fair warning." She stopped there, wondering if she should say more, but to do so, with what she was going to say, would show weakness, and she dared not show that in this mans face. She was only concerned for this heartbroken elf which her heart had gone out to the moment she had sene him. THe poor guy. She glared a little longer at the assasin and then walked to a tree, about 10 paces away, turned around, and stood there, staring at him.

Methven sighed when the fire started to die down, the night around them grew darker and she decided at last to get some sleep. Reaching under her pack, she unstrapped her bedroll. When she lay on it, she did not really close her eyes though, she didn't really need to sleep, and even if she wanted to, she would not have been able. After a while, she got up. "Tristain I'm going for a walk, if you hear me screaming or something I'm in trouble." Tristain laughed and watched her retreating back fade into the forest. He turned to Alasse, who seemed to be a little amused. "What? Oh would you like some food?"

Methven walked quietly through the trees, smelling the fresh air, which was finaly void of smoke. She saw up ahead where the trees fell back. Once reaching the small rocky outcroping, she sat down and looked off to the full moon that sat in the sky. Below, she saw something, it was, yes it was Bronn, and...Myrrima. She could just pick up the angry voice. Something about friends arrows and. Myrrima backed off and left Bronn standing there. Methven watched intently for a little while. What were they doing down there?

Hallen held Bláithín in his arms. He was so happy to see her face again. He began to cry more but stopped short at the thought of showing anymore weakness to anyone. He paused for a moment and then spoke, "I fear there is great evil abroad...we can't trust some of these people."His eyes darted to and fro.
He pulled her crying eyes away from him after a while and look at her, "Where you back at Hunvel before you went to look for me?"
He hoped that she would bring good news, what ever good can come from these events.

(ok...let's just say that Liadan is completely naive and she thinks that Bronn is a really good guy...and that he couldn't possibly do that...or let's just say the Bronn tricks her into that ...somehow...is he an actual bad guy then???)

Liadan glanced at each stranger in turn, she had placed names to faces, and had even thought about telling a tale or singing a song. But she did not feel as if she belonged here, she did not think that she was wanted. What use could any of these people have for her?
She wasn't really that useful, she just went where she wished singing, or laughing, that didn't do much for most people. In fact, she hadn't ever really met anyone who appreciated the way she lived, they just smiled and shook their heads behind her back.
Liadan got up and moved a little distance away, she should leave, as should Bronn, for some reason none of the others trusted him. What had he done to deserve that? He did have blood that was not his own upon him, but so had Hallen.
Liadan moved over to where Bronn was and touched his shoulder to let him know she was there.
"Why do you stay?" She asked this softly, she did not think he would appreciate her notifying the rest of the group of their conversation. She stepped back to give him room, and leaned against a tree.

(she's not exactly the brightest crayon in the box is she???)
