Faramir could nor sleep even tho he was in the bed he normally slept in when he was at Frodo's. He twist and turned, not able to get comfortable. He got up and opened the window. The cool breeze felt good on what was not covered in bandages chest. He walked to the kitchen silently not wanting to wake anybody and got a glass of water and walked back to the room. He sat on the bed and thought to himself. He finally got up and fell asleep on the window sill. The ruff and labored breathing can be herd threw the cool silent night.

Next day, Luna woke to see Frodo humming chearfully and eating some food. "Hullo, Luna!" he said happily, food still in his mouth. Luna laughed. "Frodo close your mouth when your eating," she giggled. She lookied at her leg. "Much better," she said, walking to the kitchen. "Luna," Frodo said, trying not to laugh. "What?" she turned to look at him. "Your hair," he lauged, pointing. Luna's hand flew to her hair. It was sticking out everywhere and was frizzy. She screamed and ran to a room. Frodo laughed. When Luna came back her hair was nice and straight. She got herself some food and wet to the sitting room to eat it. She looked around for Farair. "Where could he be?" she thought. She then waited for Brannon to wake and Faramir to come.

Faramir woke up felling a lot better, but still a little sour. He walked in to the room were Luna was sitting and sat down next to her. He graped a blanket to cover him self in because he didn't want them to see his bloodied bandages. " I think we should go out side and start cleaning things up." He said.

"Faramir! Where were you?" asked Luna. She was very happy that he was alright. "Yes I think it's a good idea to go clean up,"she got up and walked outside, Faramir behind her. Luna, Faramir, Frodo and Brannon walked to where the battle had been. Luna didn't want to have to help, but she did anyway. She did not touch any of the still bodies, she just grabbed a rake and stareted raking leaves. Frodo laughed, trying to brighten things up a bit. "What do you need to rake for? Come help us Luna," then he started singing a song. Luna hesitated, then helped them, singing along with Frodo. It was a mourning song, for the ones that were lost.

" I think we should go out side and start cleaning things up." Quickly, a single eye flickered open and then the other. A lazy sigh awoke from him and he slowly wiggled nto his feet with a yawn and a few light stretches towards the air.
Quietly, he followed behidn the others somewhat hesitant of returning back to the battle ground for 'clean up'. Once there, he found himself drifting every which way, an unknowing sense heavy on his shoulders but it was slowly shooken off. A laugh escaped his throat as he watched Luna clean up some leaves with a rake. 'Oh bother.' he croaked silently before bending at the knees and hauling a large creature away from the spot. He crept across the pathway and into the trees a bit before finally setting it down for Tirial who hungrily attacked it and the gobbled it down before moving onto another already deceased victim. He came back to Frodo, Luna and a few others singing a song of mourning. Depressing. He thought grimly and concluded definately not to join in. He had gotten pat mourning and wished never to have to do it again. Never. And singing? Not his speciality.

Luna saw Brannon walk away from the group dragging a beast. Then, he vanished, and came back empty handed. "Curious," she thought. Then she sadly dragged one of the oldest Hobbits in the Shire fro the road to a pile everyone was making. "Poor old Hobbit," she thought, turning her head.

The sight was quite sad. Hobbits young and old laid sprawled all along the area, some dead while other kept a small string of breath inside.
On his third trip into the trees and returning, he came upon a young lad with light brown curls that gently drapped across his eyes of a light hue. His chest heaved slowly, making a light wheezing noise. Curious, Brannon bent down next to him and took the lad's hand. 'Can you speak?' The hobbit gave a slight shake of his head then opened his mouth. There were no words, only soft hisses. 'It is alright, don't worry now. Tell you what, give me a minute, just a single minute made up of 60 seconds, then I will be right back for you. But there is a catch- sort of like a game. You have to keep breathing but not too hard but not too slow. Got it?' The child nodded, a pained tear slithering from his eye and down onto his bloodied cheek. 'Good, now just wait here.' Quickly Brannon scurried off into the trees where he had left Tirial. 'Get out ehre for a minute! Quick!'
Tirial yawned then took a large slither of skin from a helpless victim. 'Why should I?'
'Because I am what is keeping you alive you bloody creature!'
Annoyed, Tirial stood and shook. 'Alright, alright. What is it?'
'A boy. Now, he is not for you to eat, no. Just to help me carry him off, back to his mum. A friend of mine he is, even if he is but three years younger.'
Stubbornly, Tirial took from the spot, Brannon trailing next to him, and leapt out onto the scene. 'Over here,' Brannon directed, moving ahead then squating over the young hobbit again. 'See? That wasn't long at all.' A light smile curled pale lips. ''Now, Burlion, I need you to keep still and do not panic. Got it?' Another nod. Tirial stepped forward and almost immidiately Burlion began whimpering and tensing. 'No, no, no. Do not do that! Keep calm, he won't hurt you and if he does,' gives a sharp look towards Tirial. 'I will skin him and give his meats to the river.' Obviously sarcastic towards Tirial but seemed serious for Burlion.
Carefully, with a very slow motion, Brannon plucked the hobbit from the deceased and carefully sat him atop Tirial. 'Your mum's probably worried sick about you. You realize that? Once you get better we are going to have a little chat, you and I. Like we used to.' Down the path and away they strode. It wasn't until night was on high that they reached their destination. Brannon lifted Burlion from Tirial and carried him up the scattered path to his hobbit hole then knocked loudly. 'Hello?' There was a sound of suffling then finally an older hobbit woman opened the door, hair tucked messily and eyes bagged with stress. 'Oh, give him to me,' she fussed in a motherly tone, gently snatching Burlion into her arms. 'Come in now, Brannon. Help me, won't you? And so Brannon did as instructed.

Night passed slowly and soon the sky turned pink and purple as morning stretched her hands outwards in the sky. It was also then, that Brannon had finished and that Burlion was tucked safley in his bed with nothing now but bandages and hot cloths. 'I will come back later to check on him!' Brannon announced as he took off down the path, Tirial racing behind him.
'What will the others say?' Tirial asked quickly.
'I don't know. I mean, they can't be too mad that I took away right? I mean, they would understand?...'

Faramir turned to see Brannon walk away with a boy, but he decided that Brannon can take care of himself and stayed back. He couldn't do much because the pain was still close.

When night came they made a fire and sat around it, wondering how many survived. Faramir was the first to speak up. "Luna, I saw a Big Folk and his horse, were did he come from?" He asked. He turned to see that Luna was shivering, so he took off the blanket he had on covering his bandages and bare skin,he didn't care about showing it anymore, and placed it over Luna.

Exhausted, the two returned back to where the others had been earlier only to find that they had finished the cleaning up already. All the deceased hobbits were laid to the side in a respectable line whil, to the other side, a large pile consisting of the murderious creatures were burning.
Tirial gave a sharp growl and haunched his fur. 'Wasted! All that meat just thrown away! Barbaric!' On and on Tirial rambled about why the hobbits shouldn't have wasted the food and how they were turning out to be pretty barbaric creatures indeed.
'Pot calling kettle black if you ask me,' Brannon finally interupted. 'You call us barbaric and yet your kind just slaughtered a whole group of hobbits.' Tirial shrugged his mighty shoulders then sat down beside Brannon who seemed intent on staring ahead, towards Faramir and Luna.

Faramir feel backwards a bit when he saw on of the beast walking with Brannon. " Brannon, W..Whats that. " He said shakily, pointing at the Beast.

'Hm?' Snapping from deep thought, his eyes were blank and slowly blinking. 'Who?' A galnce was given about and then finally landed on Tirial. 'Oh, right.' Clearing his throat, Brannon looked back to Faramir and Luna. 'This is Tirial, um...' His fingers tapped nerviously on the ground while his eyes began o make slow routes around the entire area. 'He won't hurt you, or leastways, he should not hurt you considering what we have been through.'

Tirial yawned lazily then shook the fur on his body.Growling, he stood and watche dthe two othe rhobbits in front of them. Squirmish, they seemed to him. Hesitant and afraid. Satisfied, he sat back down by Brannon.

Faramir stood up."Brannon!!! He may not kill us, but his kin did! Look at Luna's leg, look at me, look at you, look at what his kin has done!" Merry walked up to him and taped him on his shoulder, and Faramir jumped up and fell in a bit of fright. " want some ale?" Merry asked. Faramir got up. " sure, that will be good." One of Faramir bandages started showing fresh blood seeping threw it. He sat down taking the mug of ale from Merry. " So what dose he eat, anyway?" Faramir asked.

(((I wont be able to post for 2 day so plz dont go far with out me!!)))

A shrug made heavy heave of his shoulders while his eyes pondered over the large form of Tirial. 'Well, lots o' stuff. Meat and well, yes, just meat but he will not harm you so calm down.' Annoyance was heavily hinted in his tone. Why couldn't they just understand it? 'He won't do a thing...' He murmered solemnly. 'Shouldn't be executed for something his kin did. There would be no cursed purpose for it!' His eyes widened a bit and immidiately darted down. Was that even part of Faramir's protest? It was hard to remember. Thoriwng his hands into the air, he retook his seat alongside Tirial and placed his head restfully on his hands.

Faramir stood up and walked over to the side and whistled for Strider. He took a deep breath " I should get going" He turned to face the others " I'll be back in about a month."

"Were are you going?" Pippin asked.

"Can we come?" Asked Merry, looking at Frodo then Faramir.

" Fine." Faramir muttered under his breath.

Merry and Pippin ran off to get some stuff and there pony's. When they cam back Merry had two large pack hanging off his saddle and Pippin had a long pack hanging off the back of his. " What did you pack?" Faramir asked.

" I got the ale and old Tobey." Merry said smiling

" And I got other necessary stuff, like food and water and things." Pippin said.

Faramir chuckled. " All I brought was an extra shirt, pants, and my cloak." He turned to Luna and Brannon. " Wanna come?"

Luna slowly walked up to the beast. She lifted her hand and stroked its fur. "T-thank you, for not huting Brannon, and for, s-s-saving us. I saw you helping us," she smiled and walked to Brannon. "I'm glad your alright, where were you?" she hugged him quickly then walked to Faramir. "Where are you going?" she asked looking up at him with wide eyes. "You can't just leave like that."

Faramir turned to turned to Luna. " I have some un-finished business in Minas Tirith. I know we will be greatly welcomed there." he said in a raspy voice. Faramir felt a sharp pain in his lower gut, but he didn't show it. He just held he hand over it and sighed.

"I guess Gondor can wait. Besides I forget why I was going back anyway." Faramir looked at Strider who was tired and all warn out. Strider but his head down and rubbed it against Faramir. " She'll be there for you, she will, trust me." Faramir said softly, scratching Strider's mane.

Brannon's eyelids drooped wearily, and his body haunched over. Sleep came slowly.And when he finally fell off to sleep, Luna awoke him. "I'm glad your alright, where were you?" He gave a grim smile before nodding his head again. His mind scram out for sleep and yet, he couldn't find himself to do it. Not yet.
Yawning, he and Tirial stood and stretched. 'I have something to tend to. It should not take long but if it does, I will just meet you both either here or find you if you go on to other things. Come long Tirial.' The two gave a smal look about then took off in a strolling walk down the paths, just as they had done the night before, only not in that much of a hurry this time.
The sky was stretching towards evenning when Brannon arrived back at Burlion's hobbit hole. Before stepping to the door, the hobbit gave a light exhale then knocked lightly on the door. The boy's mother once again answered with a cheery smile. 'He is doing much better this morning. Do you wish to see him? He is still up in his room I believe unless he has decided to move to another room.'
Brannon stepped inside then skidded from room to room until he came to Burlion sitting on the floor of his bedroom. The young lad looked up with a bright smile though pain still shone itself very dully. 'I see you are doing better.' Brannon murmered softly. 'That is good. Very good for the way you was looking.'
'Yes, I feel better also.' The soft voice was once again at its full power and once again full of playful innocence. 'Do you want some soup? I cannot eat anymore of it.' Though enticing, Brannon refused but asked if he could take it with him. Luna and Faramir were probably hungry. They deserved something good to eat after what they had been through. 'Take this event into consideration Burlion. From here on in never go a'wandering outside when you hear of something such as what has happened, alright?'
The boy once again nodded and then gave a pained wince. 'Alright,' Brannon whispered.' You better get somemore rest and I will come back and visit tomorow eve. if I can.' He escorted Burlion back to his room then tucked him into the small bed. 'Good night.'
With the soup in one hand and a few pieces of bread in the other, Brannon took off back down the path, Tirial back at his side. Night was coming on fast. 'Too much time there again?' The creature asked panting. Brannon couldn't help but agree. 'Yes, I think I am pushing my luck, really but oh well. My duty is my duty... I guess.'
Night had finally come when he returned back to Luna and Faramir. The two were sitting on the fire caught up in their own chatter. With a hesitant smile, Brannon approached them. 'I have some soup and bread if you want some.'

Luna watched Brannon in disbalief as he walked away again. "He's a strange Hobbit," she said to herself.

Later...

Luna saw Brannon walking towards her with soup. She thanked him and ate some, giving the rest to Faramir. "I'm not very hungry," she whispered, smiling.

" No thanks Brannon, maybe later,I don't think I can eat at the moment." Faramir said as he turned back to Strider and took off his saddle and spoke to him softly. " Lay down boy ,and I will scratch your belly." Strider went to his knees and finally layed down on his side. Faramir layed down next to him and rested his head of Strider's stomach and rubbed his stomach. "You worked hard, Strider, yes you did." Faramir muttered and they both dosed off.

Luna got up and walked into the woods. She didn't know why. When she reached the stump of an old tree she sat on it in deep thought. "I need to go....somewhere...." she said into the dark. She heard strage oises coming from every direction. Luna looked up at the moon shinign throught the trees. She smiled. "Luna, it's so pretty tonight," she said. She then walked further into the woods, stopping once or twice to pick up a flower. She was walking when she tripped on something. Luna picked it up and saw that it was a strange round object. It was clear, and cold, but it felt like water. Yet it didn't slip through her hands. "Strange," she said, bringing it up to her face. She could see the reflection of her dirty face in it. Then she looked at her eyes. They looked like fire. Luna dropped the stone and breathed heavily. She watched it as it seeped into the ground. She gasped and ran to a tree. She climbed it to the lowest branch. Then, the branch sprung flowers, and light cam from deep in the forest. Luna screamed and closed her eyes, holding the tree tight.

'Alright, 'ave it your way then.' He set the soup and bread down then wearily made his way back to a nicely cleared spot. Tirial was already their, his great form curled in sleep. Smiling, Brannon lowered himself and, he too, curled up. Sleep immidiately snatched him away.

Something awoke him. A scream! He jolted upright, heart pounding heavily. A frantic glance traveled to Faramir. 'Where's Luna?!'

Luna watched in horror as the tree she was on slowly began sinking into the ground. She tried to scream for help but something heald her mouth closed. The forest was getting brighter every second. Luna tried to look at what was holding her so tightly but could not move. She closed her eyes and hoped it was a dream. When she opened them, she saw that she was under water, a dark object in front of her. She gasped and breathed in air.
"What's happening?"

*I hope this is ok, cuz I got kinda confused with the post, so tell me if I got it right or not so I can edit it*

Faramir quickly got up and looked around. He herd something up ahead and started running. " Brannon! Fallow me!" and ran into the woods. He saw a tree leaning into the water strangely and there was splashing in the water. He recognised the object in the water and it was Luna. He ran into the water and started swimming. He dove under and graped Luna and swam back. Once they got to land Brannon took Luna and Faramir dove back in. He was A ball with fire glowing in it. He took a deep breath and graped it. He felt it violently tossing him. He tossed it up on the side and Swam back up to the shore, Gasping for air. He crawled over to the abject and stared at it, then broke his glance to Luna. " What happened?"

(Lol it's ok, I was tired of them sitting around all the time, so I wanted to make it more exciting hee hee. I know it's confusing to me too. It's like Luna's having a dream, but it's not a dream...)
Luna stared wide eyes at Brannon and Faramir as she breathed heavily. She coughed up some water and heald to the grass. When Faramir asked her what happened, she could'nt answer. She just stared at the rock-like object. Then she pointed to it, still having trouble breathing. "It," was all she could mutter.

Faramir looked at the object closely. He saw in it, and what he saw wasn't good. He saw evil come to the Shire, killing all in there path. And the hobbits that survived were turned into slaves, for the dark lord. He broke his glances as he feel back from its power, gasping. " Brannon, give me your shirt, We got to hide it and keep it hidden!"

'Brannon! Follow me!'
Brannon jumped up and stumbled carelessly after Faramir. 'Where are we going?' he called but his call was never answered. But soon he understood. There ahead a great figure of a tree loomed over a grey water and there in the midst of the water; struggled Luna. His heart jumped to his throat and he lurched after Faramir who was quickly in the water retrieving the poor lass.
He paced back and forth, back and forth for what seemed to be forever. Where was faramir and Luna now? Had they drown while he sat on land and awaited? Had doom met them so painfully? Before he could make up his mind, Faramir emerged and Luna was racingly handed up to him. He took her into his arm and pulled away from the water, off aways.
Then up came Faramir, a ball-like object springing from his hands and rolling off a ways before stopping in the cage of grass. ' Brannon, give me your shirt, We got to hide it and keep it hidden!'
His eyebrow quirked a bit and he pushed away from Luna. 'My shirt?' Why would anyone wish to hide something like that? Curiouser and curiouser. His eyes focused on the 'ball', it's curface seemed to gleam brightly in the dim moonlight and slowly, he slipped from his shirt and thre it to Faramir. 'Fine, here.'

Luna was still gasping for breath. She lay back on the grass and tried not to cry. She pulled her knees to her chin and put her hands round them. She finally gave in and sobbed. First she had lost her friends, now she almost lost her life, and made Faramir loose his. She grabbed Brannon's arm. "Kill me! Just kill e now! I can't stand being alive any more! I almost made Faramir die, he should'nt risk his life for mine! Please end my misery!" she gasped for breath. Luna got up and held onto Faramir, sobbing.

His arm,s covered his bare chest and the chill air beat down on his skin. Faramir had not even picke dup his shirt yet! It was merely lying on the ground! He cursed a bit but quickly jumped in suprise. Luna was atching onto his arms and bellowing."Kill me! Just kill e now! I can't stand being alive any more! I almost made Faramir die, he should'nt risk his life for mine! Please end my misery!"

His eyes widened and he did his first reaction. He yanked his aerm away and scooted back, away from her madness-of-the-moment. His knees curled into his chest and he watched silently as Luna now held onto Faramir. What was happening? Everything seemed better but it all changed. Curious, he glanced over to the orb then crawled over and took it up into his hands. His eyes turned downwards and stared meaningly at it. So intising were the colors. So bright. So shiney. Sweeping colors of orange swirled aimlessly in the darkness.

His grasp tightened but he forecfully pulled himself away and took up his shirt with his free hand. 'I think we best be getting rid of this. Aye...' He wrapped it in his shirt then held it tightly in his arms.

Faramir felt Luna grab on to his and his first reaction was to hold her close to him. He glanced at Brannon as he wrapped the ball in his shirt and nodded. " I think it the Palantir, Brannon." Faramir started crying softly and talked with Luna. " It was my choice to go after you, you did nothing wrong. Luna don't blame yourself." Faramir sniffled. " And don't blame yourself if my heart dose fail, for it will be the decision I make is a fault" a cold breeze came with the coming of midnight. " We will make it threw this Luna, we will" Faramir's voice trailed off.

'Palantir?' He repeated quietly. He watched Faramir speak with Luna, both of them sobbing and yet he would not shed a single tear. He felt nothing.
His eyes wandered down to the object in his hand and he slowly moved some of the shirt away, revealing some of the palantir. 'Thought this thing was supposed to be evil.. or something of that nature,' he whispered to himself. 'Perhaps it's broken or a fraud. Probably.' His eyes remained focused on it. He couldn't seem to be able to take his eyes away. Odd.
Minutes seemed to pass and he finally snapped his look upwards and he once again covered the palantir.

Luna fell asleep in Faramir's arms. He set her gently on the grass and she entered a deep sleep.

Luna sat in a meadow with flowers all around her. She was sitting with her family, having a picnic. They laughed as Luna's little brother made a funny face. Luna got up and walked to her home, a few yards away. She stepped inside and went to her room. Once there, she sat on her bed and read a little bit of her book. It was about happiness and being alive. She smiled and a cool breeze entered her window, blowing her curly brown hair. She went outside and sat on the soft, warm grass. She lay down and watched the clouds......
Luna woke with a start. She sat up and looked around her, rubbing her eyes. She leaned against her elbows and saw Brannon and Faramir sleeping close by. She thought back to her dream. "I'm alive," she thought, suddenly happy. Luna got up and woke her Hobbit friends. "This is no time to sleep it's a time for merry making!" she sang with enthusiasm. "We're alive! We're well, except for a few small wounds. We mus'nt waiste time sleeping!" she laughed and skipped around, singing.

Brannon finally slipped away into sleep. It seemed like eternity when he had been able to get a good sleep. He rolled over here and there and sometimes would even awaken when he would feel the edge of the pool. But he would always sleep and the same few dreams would appear.

'Brannon, don't you do it!' a young hobbit laughed, eyes clenching shut.
'Ah, I will be coming with you this first time to make sure nothing goes wrong, now come on.' He took her hand and led her up the path a ways until they were able to look down at the Brandywine. There in front of them was a large rope, dangling limply and yet blowing with the slightest whisps of wind.
'No Brannon, I don't want to do it. I can't do it.'
'Oh, yes you can because you made it all the way here. Now come on. Please?' She gave in and nerviously nodded, her hands clenched onto the ropes then Brannon's folded over her's. 'Alright, when I say 'now, jump, alright?' Ariahra nodded and closed her eyes again. 'Here we go.' He jumped from the edge and the rope swung forward. Everything went smoothly and Brannon yelped happily. 'Now!' They both dropped and fell, fell, fell down into the river's washing water.

He would awaken, startled for the most part, chest heaving quickly. He could lmost feel the water seeping down into his stomach and feeling his lungs. A stinking gurgling that would later suffocate him.It would be then when he would realize he had fallen into the shallows of the pond.He would crawl back to his spot and curl back up. It would then take him five minutes to sink back into dream.

Fire licked upwards, over the cieling then craddled down onto the floor. The heat seemed so unbearable. Why couldn't he wake himself up and be relieved of it being a dream? The flames spread all about, save a small cirle around him and a splattered path leading down into nothingness.
He must have called out manytimes but finally decided on what he had to do. He leapt about on the open tracts of flame, trying to avoid as much of the fire as he could. The path led down, deep into a darkness with a pit of fire. A dead end! But suddenly something crept towards him. Heavy footfalls that made the entire pit shudder. 'Wake me up!' he yelled, pain squeaking his voice. 'Wake up! Curse you forever! Wake up!' He backed himself away as the figure approached. No matter how close it came, the shadow engulfed it entiirely. Finally it came close: face to the darkened outline of a face.
Brannon's eyes were wide while his body trembled. A hand reached forward, a sharp sensation ripping from the long fingers...

He awoke to Luna and immidiately sat up, eyes darting about madly before landing on the gound. Pain embedded itself only a few inches below the nape of his neck. His hand felt it and quickly recoiled; it felt much like a burn! he cast himself down on the ground, curled up and murmered to the awake hobbits. 'I am waking up. I am, I am...'
