Post How tall are you?

(sorry if this has been done before)
I'm only just 5", so i have to look up to everyone. And i don't mind not being able to reach the top cupboard in the kitchen.
It gives me the.. 'Hobbity Feel'... (ha, yeah, my maw calls me 'halfling':blush: )

Just wondering...

Nope this is an utterly fresh and new topic!
5foot7inches..in metric that's 1.7018m or 170.18cm.

5'3 last time I checked, or maybe a bit smaller...

my family never expected me to be so tall, they all thought I was done at 4'11 (small grandmas on both sides) but I surprised them...

I'm only 5' 2". You think you have to look up? There are a few people at my school that are 7".They make me feell like a hobbit sometimes. :blush:

Gah! So am I but I'm a couple of years older...@.@

People are always poking fun. Everyone is taller than me! I don't mind though, I've ALWAYS said I liked being short.

Aye, not tall at all. I like it here though, don't have to worry about running into planes or electrical storms so much .
I'm about 164 lbs so I make up for it with muscle mass (really, it's muscle, I swear!). What that is in metric I don't know and I'm too lazy to check (hmm...ok maybe a little fat).

gah! so far everyone's taller than me!
Actually i havn't gotten any taller in AGES! (though i might have grown half a cm.. so now i am actually on the 5" mark...) i've been at my mum's nose for years!!!
It's fun. I don't mind being short... It's just that my brother is (now) 6 feet 3'... So i get a really sore neck trying to talk to him. I have to get him to sit down...

I want to be 6 feet tall! My cousin is and she looks like a super model! It's not fair! Even my step kids (one is only 11!) call me midget!!

I am 168.5 cm, or around 5'6.
Over here, that is considered tall, and i make my friends feel hobbity. However, guys my age are also very puny, many i know are up to my nose. I's nice to scare them. And when I find one who is taller than me, he is probably not decent at all.
But i like walking around the streets because i can see above many peoples' heads, and i find it extrememly fun to wear platforms!! I did that once and walked next to my father. Seriously, he was up to my chin then.
I do wish i were about 5'4. Being too tall is a disadvantage sometimes. I stick out.
However, if i moved to US or UK i wouldn't be tall at all. Wouldn't that be fun...:love::love:

I'm 5'6'' (and weigh 122 pounds), which is actually quite odd. When I was younger, I used to be the tallest kid in the grade and had quite a heavy build like my dad's. Wore clothers for 10 year olds at the age of 7.

But then I just stopped growing so quickly and my build changed completely. I'm now much more slender and the heavy build has vanished. I'm taller than my mom by an inch, yet smaller than my dad or anyone on his side of the family.

As for how it fits into school, I am now just about your slightly above average on the height person. Would look a lot like Éowyn if it wasn't for not being blonde...

Hi, I am 5'4"... pretty average around here. Most of the guys are taller, my husband is almost a foot taller than me.. but I don't feel bad, I have a sister who is 4 years older and is only 4'11" and another who is 5'2".

I knew that haveing so many girls here I'd be able to win something someday

One interesting note, Christopher Lee (Saruman) is 6'5 and said that anyone under 6'0 was a midget, so I suppose about 95% of the people in the CoE are midgets!!!

I'm 5'7 and would also like to be smaller, mostly because I know I'm a hobbit at heart. Plus most guys my age are shorter than me. My feet are tiny for my height too, only size 5, it's as if my body wants to be as different from a hobbit's as possible.

Man, almost everyone in my class is bigger than me. Sometimes I do feel like a Hobbit, even though I'm more Elf-size...

I'm like 5 feet or 5'1". So I'd be like a dwarf. But I'm only in Jr. High. I'm taller than some people but shorter than most. The tallest person in our grade is like 5'6". He makes me feel Hobbity. And he sometimes makes fun of my shortness.

I'm a nice 5'5"....but i dated a guy once who was 6'8", that was wicked weird. I'm about 2-3 inches taller than my mother, and about 3 shorter than my dad, so I turned out right in the middle!

I'm just about 5' 4". Not growing anymore as far as I know (I'm 22.) Pretty average for a woman in the US, to my understanding. Tall hobbit, short elf.

I am 1.82m, and according to the converter that's 5'9". But LadyRanger says she's 1.73 and that that's 5'9". Hmmm...
Someone told me once that 1.82m is 6'2". Oh well, I dunno!

1.82 m is about 5'11" or nearly 6 feet. I wish i were 5'10", or taller. But I don't really wear heels, because i have HUGE Hobbity (but not hairy) feet and it's terribly hard to find shoes my size!
