Okay, Galenfea. Sounds like a good idea. I can tweak his profile a bit. I shall do this over this weekend, and try and complete with the first post as well. If I have any questions I'll ask in here...

And I am well, thank you. Hope all is well with you.

Sounds good, Gwendeth. Look forward to reading more on GG. I was going through some of the ideas I had for 'Precious Gift' and I wanted to ask if it was okay to think of getting a character called Celeblas in the thread as well...

I am toying with the idea but I am not sure about it as yet. Just wanted to ask if it was okay to see a few more posts first and get a feel of the development?

They both look good! Lovely and long, and it's nice to see Salabeth I'll just wait for Nif to post again and catch up, then I'll do my next post.

I'd not mind the introduction of a new character, Erumelmo. Is (s)he up in the character database?

Not to me... I'm going to give it until tomorrow and then send a PM.

Lillassea looks good, by the way, Erumelmo not sure how she'll like travelling with us, though...

I was wondering about Nif as well...was just checking up on the thread yesterday. It's shaping up well.

About Lil, let me give it a shot and see what she thinks about the venture with my next post. If she is liked, and if she likes, we can include her.

Hello!

A million apologies for my absence! It is just that I got a job and was totaly swamped with it, and many other VERY urgent duties kept me busy. But I haven't abandoned you (thank you for your PM, Galenfea). I'll start working on my post, hope to have it up this week.

*Nif

EDIT: Just had a sparkle of inspiration, and the post is up! Do tell me if it's ok *hurrying back to her work*

Finally! I plead school - suddenly looked at the syllabi for two of my classes and realised that I had papers due.

Hope it's OK to script Randiron's behaviour a bit, but I figured that was probably what he'd do - get out some paper and draw. I wasn't sure whereabouts Banvain was, so I didn't involve him, but I certainly won't object if you want him or Lillassea to come and join us

That was a nice post. I love the way you are picturing the relationship and the personalities of your elven siblings

I'm just curious - why is Galenfea's nickname Calen?

Thanks! I'm a little sad that Finnar won't be coming, actually, but he really can't...

I'm just curious - why is Galenfea's nickname Calen?

Heh. I wanted it to be Greenie, since her name means 'green spirit', but I figured it would be weird for her nickname to be written in English and not her actual name, so I used the Sindarin word for green
Also, I don't know if this is an accent thing or if Tolkien knew this effect well or both, but if I try and say 'Galen' just as a short form, it always comes out sounding a little more like 'Calen'. So that seemed a natural thing to use as her nickname

Yes, I know how you feel having to leave him all alone in Lorien. But then again, it would be totally unreasonable to drag him along.

But I have another question - who is running Lothlorien at the time? Are we having a reception, or is this thing being kept more or less as a secret? I would vote for the latter, but I'd like to know Galenfea's plans and the opinions of the others.

I thought that Celeborn remained for a while before he, too, left. This is what I have read: "Celeborn relocated across the Anduin with many of the elves of Lothlórien at the end of the Third Age to found a new, larger realm, 'East Lórien', but left there for Rivendell to join his grandsons Elladan and Elrohir when Galadriel left Middle-earth shortly after this."

I'll be up with my post shortly.

Gal posted this in her ooc when she put up the opening post:

Arthon is an OC, but I'm not planning to have him appear on screen at the moment. I figured that Celeborn must have left someone in charge and in the absence of anything canon and since I had to refer to him somehow, I just gave him a name.

In line with that, in my opening post, I have Celeborn in Imladris, and sending Randiron, Mallen & Calma on to Lothlorien.

Ok, I must have missed that Arthon part. My apologies.
But the other question still stands: a reception and a welcoming party, or a quiet reunion?

Sorry, I could have sworn I'd posted this:

I was picturing it being a pretty quiet affair; I guess I just figured there weren't a lot of elves left in Lothlorien. There's no reason why it has to be quiet, though, I don't think.

Whatever is fine! lol Yep, Randion will be sketching it all!

Also, just to let everyone know, I'll be out of town on vacation May 7-19. I should be able to check in now and then, but will be sharing a computer with my daughter and son-in-law so probably won't have any time for writing a post if my turn comes around before I get back.

My post is up.

Gwendeth, I have tried to fit in the training in medicine of Banvain with Elrond at around the same time as Salabeth learns from Elrond - thus the likelihood of a close friendship, nothing romantic.

As I was writing and going through the character sketches of the elves, I though Lillassea and Randiron could develop a romantic attachment? They both have been saddened by loss and they both can develop feelings as the quest happens and if the character of Lillassea is accepted by all to stay.

If you do not agree, or if the others think Lillassea doesn't fit in, I'll tweak my post. Please let me know.

Cheers!

Nice post, Erumelmo!

It just may be time for Randiron's heart to have another chance. I like that idea, and I like Lillassea - slow going for them both and a gradual awareness of feelings works great for me.

Thank you.

Yay! I am happy for Lil. And Randiron is just right for her. How cool. As you said, let's progress on this with underlying tones. Later on it can be declared - that is if the development of their own characters allow it to happen.

They do, don't they? I never planned for the 'like' angle, but the moment Lil saw Randiron, her eyes just took on a glint. So I thought to myself, okay, girl, let me speak to Gwendeth on your behalf.
