Because they were once beautiful, but then some mean people dumped some toxic waste in their homeland, and the chemicals turned them all black and green and ugly

What was Gandalf's job before he became a wizard??

Why did Gandalf talk to a moth (of all things) to get down from the top of Orthanc?

Because when their wardrobes were being made WAY before they were called "Black Riders," their stylists gave them white robes (like Jesus). They were so happy they could be dressed in white, so they frolicked around in the sunshine on Middle Earth until they fell into a hot black muck pile. This dyed their entire outfit black and also melted away their faces and skin so all that was left was the robe that was somehow magically still floating on them. When they went to go back to their stylists for a new outfit, they all ran away screaming because they didn't recognize them anymore. The men were then called, "Black Riders" from then on and hated the way they looked (and sounded because of how the black muck damaged their vocal chords and lungs) They were to nervous to go back in public because of how people make fun of them. They are also very fond of matching and coordinating so they spray painted their horses black (and gave them red glowing contacts) which may have effected their skin..........................

Why did Aragorn become a Ranger?

(Is anyone reading ^ this? It's quite funny!)
