I just love it when Sam says...

"Rosie Cotton dancing. She had ribbons in her hair. If I were to marry someone, it would've been her. It would've been her."

Sam thinks he is going to die and he thinks of her. I hope to find a man like that someday.
My destiny is riding again, rolling in the rain, unwinding in the wind. My destiny is fighting again, secretly unwinding..what it was I was supposed to say...to say to you today.

When Elrond says "Ónen i-Estel Edain."(I give hope to Men) in ROTK. It just struck me as really special because their relationship had become so strained because of Arwen. Estel was Aragorn's childhood name when he was raised by Elrond and by saying that in elvish he's reminding him while still respecting the formality Aragorn has chosen, that he will always be loved.
And I will live to carry Your compassion, to love a world that's broken, to be Your hands and feet, and I will give with the life that I've been given, and go beyond religion to see the world be changed by the power of Your name. ~Lincoln Brewster

I think that it's from the movie...

"Life is an occasion. Rise to it."
- Mr. Magorium - (Mr. Morgorium's Wonder Emporium)

"All stories, even the ones we love, must eventually come to an end and when they do, it's only an opportunity for another story to begin."
- Eric Applebaum - (Mr. Morgorium's Wonder Emporium)

"We must face tomorrow, whatever it may hold, with determination, joy and bravery."
- Mr. Morgorium - (Mr. Morgorium's Wonder Emporium)

Mr. Edward Magorium: "Name the Fibonacci series from its eleventh to its sixteenth."
Henry Weston: "Umm... 89, 144, 233, 377, 610?"
Mr. Edward Magorium: "Perfect. Number four, do we really need it?"
Henry Weston: "If you like squares - you do."
Mr. Edward Magorium: "Oh, I like squares. Good. Now, the hot dog, the hot dog/bun ratio, why for the love of mustard are there never enough buns?"
Henry Weston: "Extra hot dogs..."
Mr. Edward Magorium: "Yes, but why?"
Henry Weston: "In case you drop a couple."
Mr. Edward Magorium: "What kind of insufferable fool drops a hot dog?"
Henry Weston: "Anything can happen, sir."
Mr. Edward Magorium: "Anything can happen. How absolutely true. You're exactly the mutant I'm looking for! You're hired."
- Henry and Mr. Morgorium - (Mr. Morgorium's Wonder Emporium)

Bet y'all can't guess what movie I love.

Note: You probably won't get the last quote unless you have watched that movie.

Found a couple more good quotes from a book I'm re-reading to my younger brother.

"I have marched in many a battle host, but I have also planted seeds and reaped the harvest with my own hands. And I have learned there is greater honor in a field well plowed then a field steeped in blood."
- Adaon - (The Chronicles of Prydain - The Black Cauldron)

"There is much to be known, and above all much to be loved, be it the turn of the seasons or the shape of a river pebble. Indeed, the more we find to love, the more we add to the measure of our hearts."

The Wizard: "Why do you cry?"
Subadai: "He is Conan, he will not cry."

of a spear on the way without." - All-Father Odin, The Havamal

OOH! Nice quotes everyone! Here's mine:

Song lyrics:

"You never know what temporal days may bring. Laugh, love, live free, and sing. When life is in discord, praise ye the Lord." -Anberlin, "Paperthin Hymn"

"We're not broken, just bent, and we can learn to love again." -Pink, "Just Give Me A Reason"

"You gave me so much more than I could ask for, but I turned and followed the road that left me hollow. And still you waited for me to come back home. You brought me home." RED, "Forever"

Quotes:

“The world is indeed full of peril and in it there are many dark places. But still there is much that is fair. And though in all lands, love is now mingled with grief, it still grows, perhaps, the greater.” -JRR Tolkien

"Has this world been so kind to you that you should leave with regret? There are better things ahead than any we leave behind." -CS Lewis
"Fantasy is escapist, and that is its glory. If a soldier is imprisoned by the enemy, don’t we consider it his duty to escape?. . .If we value the freedom of mind and soul, if we’re partisans of liberty, then it’s our plain duty to escape, and to take as many people with us as we can!"

Thanks! I got some of them from here:

http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~robins/quotes.html

(Some of them aren't good, just so ya know.)

And then the movie quotes I got from http://www.imdb.com/

I asked Google The Great and Powerful for the quotes, and he gave them to me. If you Google "famous quotes" you'll get a whole lot of them. And how I get the quotes from Imdb is by Googling something like "Quotes from Mr. Morgorium's Wonder Emporium" or whatever movie I want quotes from. And there you have it!

"Dunno was he's so upset. It's only a couple of carrots!"
~Pippin (Or was it Merry...?)

Pippin: "I didn't think it would end this way."
Gandalf: "End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path... One that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass... And then you see it."
Pippin: "What? Gandalf?... See what?"
Gandalf: "White shores... and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise."
Pippin: [smiling] "Well, that isn't so bad."
Gandalf: [softly] "No... No it isn't."

Pippin: "I feel like I'm back at the Green Dragon."
Merry: [through a mouthful of food] "Mm. Green Dragon."
Pippin: "A mug of ale in my hand, putting my feet up on a settle after a hard day's work."
Merry: "Only, you've never done a hard day's work."
[They laugh; Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli ride up. Merry stands and gives an exaggerated bow]
Merry: "Welcome, my lords, to Isengard!"
Gimli: "You young rascals! A merry hunt you've led us on, and now we find you... feasting and... and *smoking.*"
Pippin: "We are sitting on a field of victory enjoying a few well-earned comforts."
[Merry blows a smoke ring]
Pippin: "The salted pork is particularly good."
Gimli: [eagerly] "Salted pork?"
Gandalf: [exasperated] "Hobbits."
Merry: "We're under orders from Treebeard, who has taken over management of Isengard."
Treebeard: [as they walk toward the tower] "Hroom, young Master Gandalf! I'm relieved that you've come. Wood and water, stock and stone I can master, but there's a wizard to manage here. Locked his tower."

Pippin's song:

"Home is behind, the world ahead... and there are many paths to tread... Through shadow... To the edge of night... Until the stars are all alight... Mist and shadow, cloud and shade... All shall fade... all... shall... fade."

Treebeard: "We have just agreed..."
[Merry and Pippin lean in]
Merry: "Yes?"
Treebeard: "I have told your names to the Entmoot, and we have agreed you are not orcs."
Pippin: "Well, that's good news."

The Star-Spangled Banner by Francis Scot Key

♪Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!♫
