No. I don't listen to enough jazz to have developed a preference.

TNP has recently read an autobiography or biography.

Yep. Duane Allman .... died much, much too young.

TNP has a favourite singer.

Duane's my favorite, too ...

Phew! My musical tastes spread their wings too widely for any singer to cover them (and opera, certainly the home of phenomenal voices, is very much on or over the fringe).

For sheer, raw energy, my vote goes to Janis Joplin.
And in the Rock pantheon, Elvis is The King for many of his peers, and I ain't arguin'!

(Oopsie!)

TNP has a favorite pianist.

Piano, hmm, not my favourite instrument so my mind is drawing a blank. *think, think, think* I think John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin was vastly under-rated as a keyboardist ... aha! Fats Domino has just sprung to mind.

What is your favourite vocal register for women?

Any "precise", never mind recent, definition of 'Classic' rock is unfortunately in my "duh?" pile at present.

I'll just go with Ol' Slowhand, Eric Clapton.

TNP has a favorite Folk guitarist.

Not exactly - I quite like folk guitar music, but I don't have a preference for a particular performer.

TNP has played the guitar.

Since we go out for "special occasion" dinners, it depends a bit on what we're up for. I would vaguely guess that Chinese food takes first place by a slight margin, closely followed by Greek and Italian.

TNP has a favorite vegetarian dish.

I like several vegetarian dishes. One of my favourites is stir fry made with a variety of fresh seasonal vegetables, and served of Japanese sticky rice.

TNP has a favourite dessert.

As long as it has chocolate in it, I'm not too fussy, but if I had to pick, it would probably be chocolate cheesecake or a fudge brownie...

TNP has a holiday planned in the near future.

I couldn't say I have a favourite guitar style, but bass guitar, I do enjoy the sound of slap bass.

I enjoy watching the whales when they use the inner passage between the Island and the Mainland. Orcas (which aren't technically whales) are the most common, but there have been a couple of pods of humpbacks this summer.

TNP has a favourite African animal.

That would be the meerkats, as they are very social animals, and their interactions among themselves are quite adorable.

Not really, no, although I always enjoyed the social commentaries of the late George Carlin.

Hmm, there are far too many movies I enjoy to say I have an all-time favourite, however, I can watch 'Labyrinth' and the LotR trilogy over and over, without getting bored of them.

TNP plays PC games now and again.

Actually, it's over this weekend and I will only watch the closing ceremony, and the marathon which is the final event.

TNP has plans for the weekend.

I did have plans for this weekend, next weekend not so much. I went to the Chester Races on Saturday, and today (Sunday), I'm replaying the PC video game, 'Mass Effect'.

TNP has a favourite type of tea.

I don't drink much tea but, when I do, I enjoy Lady Grey tea.

TNP enjoys coffee in the mornings.

Neither odd nor even times, since a very long time. Used to be a Rice Krispies fan ages ago.

TNP watched the seven-a-side rugby matches at the Rio Olympics.

I didn't see all of the games but I watched all the ones (men's and women's) that were shown on TV.

TNP watched Usain Bolt win three gold medals in three events, for the third consecutive time.

At best in re-runs, not live; and I may have missed the 200 M entirely.

TNP can give me a short explanation regarding the differences between seven-a-side and regular rugby.

Seven-a-side rugby is played with seven players on each team and seven-minute halves. It's a variant of rugby union, which has 15 players on each team and 40-minute halves. However, there are actually two different forms of rugby - rugby union and rugby league (which has 13 players on each team and different rules).

TNP has played rugby before.
