Not the first time this question has been posted - and I'll still stick with our own period, as much of history pre 1950 or thereabouts (often later) stunk for the vast majority of people in the vast majority of countries, if not all of them.

TNP has a favorite poet.

TNP has played table-tennis at a competition level (we're definitely not talking world championships here!!!)

In the sense of reading endlessly, very much so, in every other sense, not at all.

TNP has read books by Richard Dawkins.

I know I've read one of his books but, for the life of me, I have no idea what it was titled, or what it was about.

TNP has read Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky.

If you read it in the 1970s, it can only be "The Selfish Gene" of originally 1976, his first book and still his leading best-seller - a massive one. His most provocative book was "The God Delusion" of 2006, probably his number two best-seller. I have every book he has ever published, I believe.

No, as I have not read anything by Dostoyevsky; interestingly, the German title "Schuld und Sühne" translates very imperfectly to "Crime and Punishment".

TNP has read books by the Swiss Catholic theologian Hans Küng (was ultimately at total loggerheads with the popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI).

The Selfish Gene rings a faint bell.

I don't read much theological discourse, although I have read the books relative to the major religions: The Bible, The Koran, The Bhagavad Gita, etc.

TNP has a favourite television series (past or present).

Columbo (Peter Falk)

(Current crimes series on German TV - from many parts of Europe besides Germany, and from the US - just make me gag in various levels of severity; besides Columbo - obviously repeats - there are less than a handful of British series that I can stomach)

TNP has a favorite documentary television series (past or present).

I rarely watch anything other than sports on TV. I have enjoyed Nova in the past, although I have no clue if the show still has the same production standards.

TNP has a favourite band.

I have only drunk alcoholic beverages on special occasions, and even more rarely have had more than one sip. I definitely have never had a whole glass before.

TNP regularly visits a public library.
