Batânraktû I onlyknow the song from the remixed album THE LIVING SEA. So the version I know is all smooth, Latin guitar and dreamy background. I guess I should hear it in the original version.

In any case, I love all of Sting's work, partly because his imagery is so mythical and archeytpal. He speaks to an ancient part of my soul like no other artist.

I know I haven't heard "The Living Sea" though, guess I have to buy it for the collection

much of his works just sets my mind and imagination in motion. I can reccomend his autobiografi "Broken Music"

In my eyes he seems to be in inner peace with himself more than any other person I've seen, I kinda get the same immotion when I listen to him - peace.

well atleast that's what I think, he could just be hiding a mind in turmoil

Batânraktûk The album was the soundtrack to an Imax film production, narrated by Meryl Streep.

I agree that Sting's work is somehow deep and peaceful. He is an amazing person - has done years of Jungian psychotherapy (hence the archetypal imagery).

Another song that really touched me (from an older album) was FORTRESS AROUND YOUR HEART.

Child_of_Luthien There is a song book published for that album. The piece is quite easy to play, actually (I've only had grade three piano and that was before the Ents walked Middle Earth). My brother had one of those incredible keyboards with a thousand sounds and effects. I put on a sound similar to what was on the album and it really mad e the song sound awesome, despite my amateurish playing. I often use it when teaching meditation and relaxation exercises.

Hmmm... Thanks for telling me, Neenime... I will keep my eyes open for the song book. Maybe my sister can teach me how to play... hehehe... We also have a keyboard, but we just got it this past Christmas and I'm still trying to figure the thing out.

Whoah - if this was how the writer talks to a boyfriend/girlfriend/partner... I'd say it was an abusive relationship and they need therapy ASAP. But then, that's the kind of thing I pay close attention to

My favorite song is by Switchfoot's "Dare You To Move". It's really a poweful song about life. It describes what our daily hectic lives are like...it's really an encouragement

Anything by Linkin Park, Simple Plan, or Good Charlotte. When I saw Linkin Park in concert, and they played "My December" with just the piano and Chester I started bawling. Also, "Living on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi and "Higher", "Cant Stop Loving You", and "When Love Walks In" by Van halen. So many more! I'll repost if I think of any.

i actually seem to have two sides to my personality (i'm not bipolar, just complex, honest!). on the one hand i LOVE to party, so the song "fight for your right" by the Beastie Boys is PERFECT for me! o the other hand, i sometimes get a bit lonely and sad that i'm not in a relationship (and never have been :sob: ), so then my song has to be "Music of the Night" from POTO. i don't know why nobody else *gets* erik!?!

because, in accordance with the song lyrics, my mother has stated that she is not sure if I'm a boy or a girl (I'm a girl with really short hair and I don't wear many girly-girl clothes), and my face is usually a mess. But I love :love::heart::love: this song!! It IS me!!
