If you look at the bottom of the browser window, you should see a Chat Bar, with a Chatrooms link. There’s usually a couple of people hanging out in there. Using the Chat Bar, you can also talk to individual members who are online.
There is a login option on the right side of the main page (appears only if you are logged out). The logout box is always at the top left side of the window, next to the ‘Welcome, [username]’ message.

The banners are protected against hot linking, so you cannot like directly to them. Instead, you need to upload the image that you want to use to your own server or a service like Photobucket. You can then link to it there. CoE’s URL is http://www.councilofelrond.com
The journals were permanently shut down in May 2005, due to various problems (see Rivka’s last journal entry for full info). Since then, you cannot add new journal entries, but you still have access to the old ones via ‘Journal’ in ‘My Account’; they have not been deleted.
