I liked the "Rally to me! To me!" because even though I hadn't read the books, I knew what was coming as soon as I heard that line. That got me really excited, but didn't end well. :dizzy:

The movies are a collection of beautiful lines, one after the other... But this is one of my favorites:

^^^ I have to agree. Those lines were beautiful. It seemed the perfect way to end the movie at that point. Made me go all teary eyed...

Gimli's lines were hilarious, particularly:

"That still only counts as one!" and
"Certainty of death, small chance of success...what are we waiting for?"

They seem to be favorites in this thread, huh?

The final scene with the coronation of Aragorn was beautiful. Some of the best lines were said in the span of those few minutes alone. I :heart: movies with moving and completing final scenes... "You bow to noone" made me gasp!

I love all those lines that have been posted here... I can't choose just one or few favourites! The script is all so good (why do you think it won an Oscar? He he).
But I do love Aragorn's "Braveheart-ish" speech, and Théoden's speech also, and when everybody scream "Death!!!"
I also love all Merry & Pippin conversations, especially when they are separated in Edoras... :cry:
Also at Isengard when Pip says: "I feel like I'm back at the Green Dragon after a hard day's work!" And Merry says: "Only, you've never done a hard day's work!"
Also when Éowyn takes Merry with him on her horse and says: "Ride with me!" And Merry says: "My Lady?!!!"

The story told by Legolas in the Path of the Dead, Gimli saying:"That still only counts as one!", "There are plenty for the both of us! May the best Dwarf win!", and "Salted Pork?"
Legolas saying, "What about side by side with a friend?", "A diversion.", "The way is shut. It was made by those who are dead, and the Dead keep it. The way is shut.", and the rest of his lines.
Aragorn's Final speech before the War, and his Song during his coronation.
Sam when he says, "Not before I stick you!", and the rest of his lines.

-Sam's speech on Mt. Doom "Then let us be rid of it, once and for all. Come on. I can't carry it for you, but i can carry you." (Music swells, and so do my tears. :cry

-Aragorn's "For Frodo."

-Oh goodness, too many at the end. Basicaly from the coronation scene forward. I'm not about to try and type all of that, and there's so many there I love.

Oh jeez there are so many lines I love in the movies but the one that stands out the most for me would me when Galadriel says, "Even the smallest person can change the course of the future" I LOVE that line!!!

I cannot agree more. I love the look in Theoden's eyes when the Rohirrim arrive at the battle and just see an ocean of the Legions of Mordor seemingly about to wash away realm of Gondor. I love the look of resolve that he gives.

oh, couldn't agree more. Theoden's and Aragorn's are definitely my favorites--that and "you bow to no one"

I too get goosebumps every time I heard Theoden's speech...the overhead shot of the Rohirrim....

I know this is weird, but here it is... one of my favorite lines is

it does so well in tying all the movies together with the "Gondor has no king. Gondor needs no king." and everything... it just really brought everything together in your mind.

of course i also love the
Gandalf: Your father's will has turned to madness! Do not throw away your life so rashly!
Faramir: Where does my allegiance lie, if not here?
Gandalf: Your father loves you, Faramir! He will remember it before the end.
so-o-o-o moving and... wow.

of course i love all the others, the speeches and "for frodo" and everything but i try to be different...
