The fish at the beginning of ROTK. GROSS!!! Also Legolas and the cave troll. Way too digital. Aragorn falling off the cliff. Pointless.

3) Searchlight Sauron

There was actually no other way to do the Eye in RotK because that's how the book described how the hobbits saw it in Mordor.

The worst moments were:
Dying Arwen in RotK (pointless)
Aragorn's fall off a cliff (pointless and took up too much valuable time)
Aragorn killing MoS (evilly OOC; pointless)
Aragorn being too weak to master the palantir (pointless)
Legolas's pathetic Obviousness (pointless)
How the Ents were handled (pathetically OOC and took up too much time)
Frodo at Osgiliath and Faramir the weak (pointless)
The death scene of Theoden ("I'm going to save you." "You already did."... is it just me or is that WAY too Star Warsy.)
Grishnakh not dying from the spear (unrealistic for orcs; pointless, ruins how Treebeard knew the hobbits weren't orcs).
In the book, orc captains were never shown to use whips and the orc-driver/captain in RotK-EE can't decide what he is...
Caradhras not a seperate evil. (Saruman's magic was way too strong in that scene)
Hobbits couldn't have escaped the orcs by pretend fighting in the books. The inspector would not have blamed the poor orc in charge for the problem, then dismiss it.
Orcs move too slowly throughout all three films. Are they trotting or jogging?
Sam leaving Frodo (OOC)
The Voice of Saruman and Gandalf's "We need him to talk." Some mercy and pity for you! OOC.

Why is poor Gandalf so stupid sometimes and why doesn't he know the answer to the riddle on Moria Gate?

Because it was too simple to think through during difficult, complicated times. Gandalf has so much on his mind during the War of the Ring that he's a bit fazed out at times, methinks.

Definitely Theoden's death.

Cliche-ridden and completely against the book! I was SO looking forward to what was supposed to be an incredible emotional moment only to CRINGE when I first saw it. Now, I just hit the NEXT button on the DVD when this scene comes up

Wow! by the sound of it EVERYTHING is cringy in ALL the movies!
I just find the bit in Moria, when Frodo gets stabbed. They turn round and its slowed down its like '*yawn* oooo thats dramamtic. the main characters died half way through the 1st film!'

That's why I like orcs

You don't get dramatics with them. Well, not like that.
