Well said! I agree 100%! But, I had to pick Aragorn(Viggo). His accent is so, deep!! :love:
But, second would be Orli!! So, BRITISH!!! Yum!
And Billy's is so CUTE!!!

As much as I enjoy listening to Sean Bean speak, I had to choose other as I definitely enjoy Craig Parker's voice more. What a shame that he/Haldir wasn't an option!

I voted other cause I LOVE Haldir/Craig Parkers accent.:love:
He has a very authoritative voice, and I love it!
I love it when he says, "We haven't had dealing with the Dwarves since the dark days." i love it!:love:

Well, duh, it's me, the Wizard-seeker, so I voted for Gandalf! :heart:

I could have voted 'other' because you should know that I just adore :drool: Gandalf and Saruman (oh, my!), and Ian McKellen and Christopher Lee. :love: :love: :heart: :drool: et: :hug:

It's said that Ian patterned his 'Grey' voice on existing recordings of J.R.R. Tolkien, so in a sense, the Professor is in LOTR. Gandalf the White is Ian's natural voice (I think). And he's done loads of voices in his readings (The Tempest, The Odyssey, etc.) and movies, and sounds like buttered rum (ooh, or wassail) when he's himself...

...and Saruman? What can one say: it's Christopher Lee! He's been Dracula, he's been in a Bond movie (he was wasted in TMWTGG: he'd make such a better villain now), he's been in Star Wars--with screen credits like that, does he need anything more?! He doesn't say what he did in WWII, and he has a great singing voice-- did I miss anything? hmm, he sounds like a really distinguished and pricy cognac... (insert yet still more drooling here!)

...fireplaces and wizards and books and cognac, oh my!

strange thing but there are really many male voices in the movie that i fancy but Legolas's voice is my favorite it's so manly, virile and gentle in the same way that's why i like it. i also like Pippin's voice and accent a lot! that scottish accent is to die for! Aragorn and Eomer have sexy voices! I like Frodo's, Gandalf's, Saruman's, Sauron's and Nazgul's voices too!

absolutely sean bean as boromir!

when i first watched lotr in german i didn't like boromir at all. but then... when i saw it in english and heard his original voice... :drool: :heart: :drool:

Hmmm. Hard to choose.

Gandalf's accent is so rich and refined. (Ian McKellin said he'd tried to copy Tolkien's voice.)

I love David Wenham's Aussie accent. :love:

Not to mention Bernard Hill's Northern English accent. :love::love:

And Orlando's accent is sooo sexy, especially when he's smiling! :love::love::love:

Sam's accent makes him sound like a sweet, humble, working-class hobbit, which he is.

And Gollum's voice KICKS!! (And I like Andy Serkis's voice, too )

But I just LOOOVE that Scottish accent!!! :love::love::love: :drool: :drool: :drool:

I think my favorite voice would have to be Legolas or one of the other elves because his voice is deep enough and at the same very suave and gentle. Honestly, it really just makes me sigh and feel relaxed *sigh* His is my fav but it is tough. They all just have really nice voices!!

I voted for Boromir. When i saw Sean playing Boromir, i never really noticed the English accent. Then i saw National Treasure, and Whoosh. There it was. His assurity and leader-like voice makes me think i'd feel safe around him. Even in a "I want the Ring" craze. lol.

Gandalf. Because Ian McKellan based his accent on Tolkien's. (Listen to recordings of Tolkien speaking then listen to Ian McKellan as Gandalf the Grey... you'll hear it )

I don't actually like the way the Elves speak in the films... I want them to have more of a Welsh influence to their voice seeing as Sindarin was inspired by Welsh... Oh well...

I'm not very good at hearing the different accents in LotR mainly because where I live we have a huge range of accents. You can be in one place and hear a very Welshish English accent (it's English but with lot of Welsh twinges) and go five miles away and everyone will be very rustic English (West Country). Then there are those who sound Geordie and, of course, there are those who are very Brummie-like. So I don't really pick up on accents... (Just google "Shropshire accent", no one can actually tell you what our accents are! )
I do notice when they slip a bit and start sounding American a little bit though... *coughFrodocough*

omg I have several favs for this one...ok,here we go!:

David Wenham/Faramir: Just perfect and sexy, makes me want to melt:drool:

Sean Bean/Boromir: Pretty much the same way I feel about David's voice :drool:

Viggo/Aragorn: See last two...lol :drool:

Hugo Weaving/Elrond: Like the others, incredibly sexy, and his voice is just so mysterious..yum :drool:


Only who doesn't love Billy's voice? However, I am partial to Scottish accents, being part Scottish myself.

Pippin has a cute voice, but right now I'm on a Austrlian kick...(Ryan Kwanten, Craig Parker, Heath Ledger, Karl Urban, ect...) so I think that's the best, though I like Orlando Bloom's voice too....
