Holodrum was again surprised when they cut his wrists free. He looked at Ethoner questioningly, "You are a strange one. You beat me, I respect you for that, yet you spared my life, and a greater humiliation I could not endure. Someone is still going to pay for that and for my slain men."
"You will not get past me, if you plan to attack any of this party." Ethoner said, "Even with your weapon." One of the elfs handed the sword they had taken from Holodrum back to him.
"Threat taken." Holdrum strapped his sword on and looked at the elfs, "Surely you don't expect me to be albe to just walk up to them?" Holo asked slightly mockingly, "They have been chasing us for some time now. Even if I knew where they were, there'd be no way to just find them now."
"Don't worry about that," Caramon said, "They'll find us soon enough." Some of the elfs jumped back into the trees to follow Holo and the rest that staid below.
"Now lets get moving." Bregion said.

Hoshash, who had been digging herself down beneath the furs, lifted her head as someone spoke her name. She was about to nod when asked if she wanted breakfast, but as she noticed it was Menel, she froze for a moment. She shook her head with a nervous smile, then she hid beneath the furs again, peeking at the elf with frightened eyes.

Menel glanced back over at Hoshash again. "What's the matter, Hoshash?"

Hoshash swallowed hard as she came up from beneath the furs again. She cocked her head to one side, giving Menel a suspicious look. "Why'd you do like that? To za-tark," she asked, nodding in the direction Ethoner had gone. "He's a nice one."

Hoshash swallowed hard as she came up from beneath the furs again. She cocked her head to one side, giving Menel a suspicious look. "Why'd you do like that? To za-tark," she asked, nodding in the direction Ethoner had gone. "He's a nice one."


Menel was confused. "Why did I do...? " She looked at Ainu and Galenfea quizzically."The only thing I have done this morning is...Do you mean to Thon?" She almost laughed and then realized that would be a mistake, to laugh right in the face of the little orc. "I kissed him, Hoshash, because i wanted to show him that I liked him. He kissed me back to show me the same thing." She paused and then said,"What is it you think I did? Do you think I hurt him somehow?"

Thon prodded Holodrum in the back to get him moving then lagged behind the lone, proud figure as he walked into the forest with precious little idea of where he was off to.
"Bregion." Thon's voice was low, "i think I see what you're up to but I can't preted to like it. I don't trust that one further than I could vomit him."

"Yes, that was my song. I am glad it helped."
Ainu sat back with the plate and watched what went on with Hoshash and Menel. The food was good.
He was prompted to chuckle softly. He had spent long hours listening to the threats and musings of orcs during his captivity, and he thought he partially understood why the smallish orc was concerned about the kiss.
"Thon was done no harm, little one," he said with a smile, "He is still intact. Unless, of course, he has given away his heart. But one does that willingly, so don't worry."
He took another bite of the breakfast then looked around with a sigh. Although he knew he would not have been much help on the scout, he felt altogether inadequate being left behind while the others went out.

Earendel finally fully awoke about 2 hours after the party left.

She felt rested for the first time a a while.

Then she reallized there was someone lying next to her. As soon as that hit her she turned her head to look at who had done this. She crashed her head in to Faron's head. Resulting in ouches ( at normal speaking volume or a little louder)from both parties.

Earendels look of confusion was mirrored by Faron's look of concern. Earendel spoke"How come you are here?"

Faron chuckled"I told you earlier that I layed down to keep you warm. You were shivering during the night." He smiled warmly"so how are you feeling Earendel" He spoke her name softly.

The strange tone in Faron's voice did nothing to easy Earendel's confusion. All the same she lay her head back down on the fur and Faron's arm. Then she spoke quitely" a lot better, thank you. But it seems likely that I have over slept." At that very moment Earendel's stomach growled loudly. She chuckled"Did I forget to tell you I did not have a chance to eat since midday yeasterday."

Faron smiled "I sure we can arrange for you to eat in just a little bit. I will not have you starved just because you slept in." At which he sits up to better survey the cave before desiding how it would be easyest to get food for his paitent(love). He smiles at Earendel "Fear not I will not go far or be long."

At which Earendel chuckles. "Why is it everyone assumes that being injured makes a person clingy and helpless?"

Menel looked at Ainu, and chuckled uncertainly. "Thon is intact? Of course he is intact. What exactly is it that Hoshash is talking about?" She looked at the orc, then at Ainu again. "I am sorry, I am just totally confused."
She sat there, trying to figure out exactly what it was she was supposed to have done to cause Ethoner to be no longer intact, but none of this was making much sense to her.
She heard Earendel and Faron speaking, and glanced over just as he unwrapped himself from her. She smiled a half smile. So, she was not the only one who had been warmed by something other than furs and cloaks, she thought to herself.
She leaned over to Galenfea and said softly, "Do you think your ankle could handle a small trek outside? I hate just sitting here." She glanced at Ainu and whispered,"You could come, as well, if you so desired it."

Hoshash scratched her head in confusion. "You suck people's souls out to be nice? Albai ti nagil..." Then she turned her head towards Ainu.

"Thon was done no harm, little one," he said with a smile, "He is still intact. Unless, of course, he has given away his heart. But one does that willingly, so don't worry."

Hoshash shuddered a bit at hearing this. "That must be sticky..."

Ainu laughed again and shook his head with a smile at the little orc's comment, then looked at Menel.
"Hoshash probably thinks you were trying to steal Ethoner's life, or soul, or something of the sort. And I would most certainly like to take that walk," he sat the empty plate down, "I am not fond of caves, even if they do offer protection. But what about the stone in the door? Do you think those elves that stayed behind will really let us move it?"

"And even if we can, do you really think it's a good idea?" asked Galenfea, eyeing the door speculatively. "We're none of us really fit to fight, that's why we're here, after all, and I don't want to jeoprodise whatever that patrol's doing. I'd like some air and a look at the sky, but not at the price of my life and revealing our hiding place."
She set her empty plate down and hugged her knees to her chest with one arm, turning slightly to look at Gaeron. He had also finished eating, and looked considerably happier and more comfortable than he had. He also looked drowsy, and, seeing them looking at him, smiled at them and buried his face in the crook of his arm to sleep.

((Gah... ELOIFH...))

Menel got to her feet and laughed, "Well, as far as stealing Ethoner's soul, even if I could, I wouldn't, and as far as the door, there is only one way to find out."
She got to her feet and limped slightly to the door. She had just lifted her hands to press against the stone, when she heard a soft cough behind her and saw an arm extend to the wall past her face. She looked over her shoulder and saw an ellon from Brêgion's company standing there, leaning on the edge of the wall that held the hidden door.
"Going somewhere, little Menelfaroth of Mirkwood?" He said with an arched brow.
"No," she smiled, "I just thought we could perhaps open it a crack and get a bit of a breeze in here, just a taste of fresh air."
"Oh. Is that all? And to think that Brêgion warned me that you might try to leave to do a little scouting on your own."
He looked her intently, and she had to force a laugh.
"How silly of him. He told me that I had to stay behind, why would I possibly go against his wishes? After all, he is the one who brought us here and gave us shelter and medicine."
The tall, dark-haired elf put his arm casually around Menel's shoulders and led her to the far side of the cave, as far as possible from the door, saying, "Come, I have never been to Mirkwood. Tell me all about it."
He sat down on a pile of furs, pulling her down with him. Menel let out a sigh of disgust and frustration.

Faron got up the rest of the way. When Earendel moved to follow suit he pushed her down. Then he spoke" You, Earendel, will spend this day flat on your back resting. In the future there is no tell what may happen." The tone of Faron's voice caused a blush to appear on Earandel's checks.

He moved quickly over to the fire area and found nothing cooked was left. He quickly grabbed a pack and found friut and bread. He would have prefered to feed his patient better but it would have to do.

Earendel had a few minutes on her own now to wonder how come he was so personal and flirty. She was definately not accustomed to gentle hints and flirting. She desided it must be his nature. Then she remembered he had been cuddling with her much of the night. She seriously hoped she hadnt said or done anything to lead him on.

He returned with a smile and a plate. "Unfortunatly all I could find was some friut and bread. Later I will get you something better. I promise!"

Earendel smiled "thank you". She reached out with her good arm and set the plate on her stomach and began to eat. As she was eating she noticed that he had gotten himself a simalir meal.

After both had eaten Faron smiled again. "Now my dear Earendel, we need to have a long talk." His vioce was warm and silky causing another blush to appear on her cheecks and an even bigger smile to appear on his face.

After the blush faded Earendel's expression became one of confusion. "Have I said or done something?"

Faron was shocked that this elloth was trying to take responsiblity for his actions and stupidity."No, you did nothing except sleep. I am the one who wanted to believe it was more then that. I apologize for stepping over the line I should have known better." His tone was deeply remorsefull, which sparked a bit of guilt in Earendel.

She spoke very carefully. "I guess at some level I lead you on by not pushing you away a soon as I woke up. My only excuse is that my mind was still a little foggy. I am sorry."

After that they went on to talk about Farons current position and freinds as well as his past. A couple of times Faron had tried to turn the talk to Earendel but she had managed to turn it around without give any info.

Hoshash pondered this for a moment, then she shrugged. There were enough things she didn't understand. She was feeling restless, so she pulled out one of her daggers and began to make patterns in the dirty floor.

Ooc - I need holodrum or 'Bregion' to DO something! Thon's wandering around after a man who would happily kill him who is looking to kill another man or be killed in the process. Not a lot to be said on the matter.

"I dont know what Trifgul expects us to find," Arkan said as he rounded a bend on the trail, "We've been wandering for hours with no sign of our quarry." Arkan was leading a small group of five haradrim, and they had no choice but to put up with Arkans complaining. The men in the group murmered their agreement and Arkan just went on, " 'Go off that way' he sais. Trifgul has no appreciation for the subtletyies of scouting. That fool would just burn this whole forest to smoke out one mouse if it seemed a good idea." Again the group muttered agreement.
Arkan was about to go off again when a small movement caught his eye. He gave the sign and the little group found hiding places around the trail.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Holos turn~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Still walking absentmindedly, Holodrum tried to ignore the escorts around him, and tried to appear as catchable as possible. "This is piontless," Holodrum said, "We'll get nowhere just wandering like this, hopeing to find a group that will capture me."
Bregion wished to silence this Holodrum, possibly with a sword, but so long as he made noise he might attract the other party.
"I've only done this plan once before, and it didn't turn out well at all. You guys want to hear about it?"
"NO." Said almost everyone at the same time.
"It was one of those hot days down in Harad..." Holodrum continued anyway.
"Shush!" Bregion commanded. Hopping up to a tree, Bregion peered alittle ways ahead and the dropped back down. He turned to Ethoner and said quietly, "There is a small party of Haradim up ahead." Ethoner looked relieved. "It seems to be lead by a complaining idiot, but they will take Holodrum to Trifgul."
"Finally." Ethoner said. "Holodrum will continue on foot. Everyone else will be in the trees."
Holodrum grabbed Ethoners shoulder. "I need you down here." Holodrum said, "If you want this to work I need something to lose at the end of the rite. And someone to lead trifgul to my base if I were to lose. It is the custom."
Ethoner looked angry, "I do not know where your base is, and why did you not say this before?"
Holodrum smiled, "Trifgul doesn't know that, and because I still thought you were going to kill me before now. If you're actually going to let me do this, it must be done properly."

Menel sat there answering the elf Elcris's questions about Mirkwood robotically, staring at the doorway. Finally he got tired of turning her head to look at him, and he stood, pulled her to her feet, and turned her around so her back was to the doorway. He knew she would not be rude enough to turn around and look now.
She stopped in mid-sentence and said,"Lok I am really worried about Thon and the others. How do we know that this is not going to be the death of them? I mean, anything could happen out there. Why don't we go look, together? You and I? and Ainu, I'm sure he would go."
The elf just chuckled. "Menel, if I let you out that door, Brêgion will string me up alive. You are beautiful, but no way am I falling for that sweet and innocent act, because I would really rather not make him mad."
She turned and glanced over at Ainu and Galenfea, hoping that one of them would give her a little help...

Hoshash's head shot up from the furs as she heard Menel and the other elf talking about going out.

"Hoshash wanna go too, had enough of sittin' here ogling the walls! And there won't be danger, Hoshash has good nose, and albai have good ears, burzumtarki won't be able to sneak up!" she exclaimed, bouncing up and down like an excited dog.

OOC: I am sorry Alsin, I would have had Bregion do something sooner, but I don't know what kind of rite holodrum has in mind or what he needed to have happen, so that is why I was leaving it up to him.

IC: "It's alright, Ethoner, we will be watching the whole time. If anything looks like it is about to put you at risk, we will step in without hesitation." He looked at Holodrum and said, "If this man gets so much as a scratch on him, you had better hope that you die at the hand of Trifgul. Because if you do not, I will make sure you die dishonorably at my hand."
He disappeared up into the trees with the other elves.

Earendel had heard Menel's comment about being worried and for the first time that day looked around closer to deside who was there and who was gone. Earendel noticed that the prisoner was gone and paled. she spoke "Faron, I'm afraid the prisoner has escaped. You have no chose but to let me up and let those of us capable of swinging a sword to get ready for his treachery." Beginning to sit up.

Faron held her down. He spoke calmly. "The prisoner did not escape. Bregion took him along out side to lead us to the new groups camp."

This did lttle to settle Earendels mind"how can any one trust that creature?"

Faron chuckled"trust, no we dont do that, but if we can use him to aid in the distruction of others of his kind, he is useful. By the way do you have any idea why he started the fire yeasterday?"

Earendel sighed. "No logical reason. When me and Hoshash encountered his group we split up. I went into a tree and from there I was picking off his men one after another." Faron chucked and Earendel raised her eyebrow at him. So he commented"That would explains why the human wants very much to kill you. Fear not I will stand between you and harm." His had taken on a very tender tone, which caused Earendel to blush.

Her comment had a bit of a hard edge to it "why is it so many males seam to think that just because one is female that we always need protecting!"

Faron chuckled "I do not think you need protecting because you are a female. On the other hand, I know you need some short term protecting because of your wound. Now, please, go back to expaining about the fire and the wound."

Earendel sighed, "well [/i]HE[i] didnt like me being high in the trees so him and his men stared shooting fire arrows into the tops of the trees. So I was forced to come down closer to the ground. Then they went after the orc. Apperently he saw me. He fired without warning, either he is a losey shot or he only ment to wound, no kill. After that I manage by scareing him and his freinds to get some breathing room and escape. I freed the orc and took off back for camp. I only wish I would have killed him too. After a battle we set out, that is all there is to it."

((ooc- from what I have read Holo is not giving up his wish to kill Earendel so she wont give up her wish to kill him either.))

Ainu stood when Menel looked his way, and walked over to see what he could do, casting a grin over his shoulder at Galenfae and then at Hoshash.
"What will be the danger of us following far behind? I can assure you that no harm will befall either elleth while I am with them- I'm not able to use my bow, but my other sword-arm is in perfect condition. I felled two men with it easily, back in the forest."
He didn't mention that he'd nearly been killed by those men, but lay the good hand lightly on the sword-hilt.
"Our honor is diminished by being forced to hide in a hole while our friends risk their lives. And besides, if Menel is really determined to get out I do not think you can stop her."

Earendel spoke load enough for the group to hear her. "I'm with Manel,Hoshash and Ainu. We really do need to get out of this cave. I also have no bow use right now but my sword arm is more than capable of cutting down an enemy or two. And to be frank I truly could use some freh air."

There seamed to be shock wave pass through the area at her declairation.

Faron was the first to speek. "It does not matter what any of you want the stone will not be moved until the mission on the outside is done." Then he smiled own at Earendel his voice quite and silky agian, "if you wish a diversion I have one for you but the rest of your group will need to find there own way to pass the time."

At that he leaned down and kissed Earendel very softly. It was a very long kiss. Earendel blushed at the touch of his lips. It look her several seconds before she realized that she could break it off if she wished. Then this was not a way she had ever been kissed before. In the past she had often had drunk humans kiss her, they generally had a hand on the back of her neck or something to prevent her from moving. It had been nasty, this to her surprise was not nasty.

Faron was shocked htat he did not get pushed away in the first few seconds. He kept the kiss soft and gentle, but he could not make himself pull away from the kiss either. After some minutes he gently reached up and touched Earendel's check. At that touch she pulled away suddenly and violently.

She refused to look at any one for some time, she just stayed there and listened to what was going on aruond her.

Galenfea pulled a slight face and turned away as Faron kissed Earendel. Soppy stuff! She had no time for it. She was, however, grateful that he had shouted down the idea of going out. As she had said, she would be grateful for a breath of air, but didn't want to go out until sure it was safe to do so. At the moment, she was in a safe place, dry and reasonably warm, and she didn't want to pick any fights unless she had to.
Instead, she sat with her back to the room and set about mending a rent in Gaeron's tunic, idly wondering how far she'd get before waking him up.

((Need it be said? :banghead: ))

"Halt!" Some idiot stood alone on the road and made trouble for Holodrum and Ethoner, "I'm feeling lucky today. you walked into my waiting arms." Arkan held out his arms and smiled like the idiot he was.
Holodrum just laughed, "You can't be serious. Trifgul sent you out alone to capture me? Haha. He must be a very desperate dog."
Arkans face froze in a look of rage and surprise, "You will pay for that." He whistled and the rest of his troup jumped out of the bushes. Holodrum mocked surprise.
"You mean your not going to make this a fair fight of 2 on 1?" Holodrum asked incredulously.
"You two are now my prisoners." Arkan said, "You will be taken to Trifgul, and if he's feeling nice, you'll die quickly." Arkan gazed at Ethoner, noted his size then turned his attention Holodrum, his real mission.
Holodrum laughed again, "You can't be serious. You will tell me where Trifgul is. Now."
Arkan smirked, "Only two of you, six of us, you're in no possition to make demands."
Holodrum strode up to him trying to look imposeing, but stupid, "Tell me. You piece of Olliphant dung."
Just then, Holodrum twisted right, pulled out his sword and sliced into one of the men in one smooth motion. Ethoner executed a similar manuvour and Arkans party was down to four. Turning to run, Arkan was tripped by Holodrum, who now had a foot on Arkans neck to keep him in place. Now Arkan may have been an idiot, but the men with him were less of ones. The rest had gotten battle ready two were advancing on Ethoner and one on Holodrum, who was in a bit of an unusual possition. "You die traitor!" The Haradrim said to Holo. Holodrum had no time for a reply, Arkan was proving quite squirmy. Holodrum engaged the Haradrim comeing at him, but lost his balance. Spareing one last moment for Arkan, Holodrum kicked him in the head and sent him reeling just before he collapsed. The haradrim took advantage of Holos lapse of concentration and stabbed. Holodrum had barely enough time to pary the blow, and it still grazed the far end of a rib on the left side. The haradrim didn't get another chance to stab, because holodrum stabbed upward and caught the man in the gut, and out the other end as the Haradrim crumpled. Before Arkan had the presence of mind to leap up and run off, Holodrum pressed his sword against Arkans throat. "I'll tell you one more time. Tell me where Trifgul is."
Something about Arkan said he was almost out of his mind scared. Maby it was the eyes, or the sheen of sweat, but actually, it was probly the smell. "Last I knew," Arkan blithered helplessly, almost to fast for Holo to understand, "Trifgul was setting up a camp, and a place for the rite, East of here. in another clearing." You can be pretty sure someone like Arkan is telling the trueth when their scared out of there minds.
"Thank you," Holodrum said. Thinking it was over Arkan made to get up, but then Holodrum let out a beastial shout and sliced his jugular open.
Ethoner looked furios, "Why did you kill him? You found out what you needed. What happened to the plan of you getting captured anyway?"
Holodrum sighed, "If I had let him live he probly would have found Trifgul first and warned him. As to your second question. If you think getting captured by you was humiliating, I'd have really just killed myself, if I was captured by this idiot. Don't worry though, if he's given us bad info, I'm sure it won't be long untill we run into another group such as this. Perhaps we'll be luckier and get a less stupid bunch of haradrim." Holodrum paused and then said, "East it is then."

Ic - Ethoner shook his head, wiped his blade on a cloth at his belt and silently reminded himself of why he had ended up on this runaway ride in the first place.
You're here to find Denother and do what you have to to get him back. Nothing more, nothing less.
The two visible wanderers headed as directly east as the thick undergrowth would let them, confident that the unseen group of Elves, and a couple of Rangers for good measure, were tailing them closely.
Soon the sound of many men ahead pulled them to a temporary stop.
"What do you think?" Thon asked of Holodrum, "It's you're rite after all."

((this post is mostly ooc - my char is not in a postion to get up and go exploring, but that doesnt mean others cant... It has occured to me that no one fron this group has in fact cheked out the rest of the cave. There is no garantee what you may find.... After all the cave is a good deal larger then one one room we are in...us your imagination...Oh a sentence or two of ic))

Earendel is still laying whit her back to everyone deeply embarrassed.

Faron is still in shocked but at moments breaks into awide grin.

Galenfea had finished that tear and was about to move on to another when Gaeron woke up. He started at finding someone kneeling next to him, which was unfortunate, as it meant that Galenfea's needle went straight into his shoulder.
"Gaeron, I always said you scream like a girl!"
"Well, to be perfectly frank, how would you have reacted in the circumstances?"
Galenfea chose not to answer that. Instead, she said, "Do you want to see if you're rested enough to do some exploring? Just the cave, and I'll help you."
He considered it. "I'll try, got to get back on my feet sometime, after all."
"That's the spirit."
She helped him get up, careful of his injuries, and held onto him, taking more of his weight than he was aware of. He looked around at this new perspective on the room with approval, then took a couple of hesitant steps.
"I'm reallly stiff, that's the main problem right now." He smiled. "Your friends have a lot of skill. Remind me to thank them."
A couple more steps, and Galenfea began allowing him to support a bit more of his own weight. They came to a door set flush with the wall, and he reached out to have a better look at it, eyes bright with interest. He pushed it carefully open and they went in. It was a storeroom, so they left it alone and moved on until they reached the place where Menel sat, then they sat down, Gaeron wearied by the exertion of finally walking about. A glance at his palms told Galenfea that he had made his escape mostly on hands and knees, even if he had approached their camp on his feet.

Ainu watched as Galenfae helped Gaeron around the cave, noting how she supported him. He had never experienced that type of friendship, and it intruiged him to an extent. The guard elf had made no reply to him, but seemed to be considering. Finally, he broke the silence.
"I cannot allow you to leave. Your safety depends on it."
Ainu sighed. He now had every intention of leaving the cave as soon as the opprotunity presented itself, even if he had to sneak out. Caves were not his favorite type of place, and he felt much more capable of defending himself now.
"Whatever you say," he said to the elf, and walked over to where Galenfae had sat. He didn't sit, however.
"I cannot handle being cooped up in here much longer," he said to her, "I despise caves. And I feel useless here."

"Just out of curiosity," Ethoner said, "how many of these rites have you completed?"
holodrum smiled, "Counting this one... One. The Rite of Victors is a sacred tradition, one granted to only those with much to gain. And much to lose. Simpler ways have been devised for mundane arguments."
Holodrum looked around, "Trifgul will have a steady gaurd to stop and question, and probly kill, odd peoples that are stupid enough to wander this close. Be prepared for anything."

Hoshash stopped hacking into the ground with her knife. She had already made quite a deep hole in the ground before she had reached the stone. She looked at the knife as she rolled over on her back, then she stared up into the roof, letting the thoughts wander.

Terkgûl would get angry with her if she let the knife become dull again. Then she remembered that the big Uruk captain was dead, fell off a cliff while hunting her and the other snagas when they escaped. Spazbork was dead too, and Zortash... She didn't know what had happened to her protector. He was gone for sure, but she hadn't seen his body among the others when she searched the empty tunnels after the fight...

Hoshash shook her head. She didn't want to think about that. From what she had heard, the elves would not let them out yet for a while, so she could as well spend the time sleeping.

"Trifgul..." Thon rolled the name around, commiting it to memory, he had a feeling that it would come in useful before the day was out.
The two began to walk again, Thon hanging behind even more to evade detection by overly alert scouts. As he snuck along, sword loose in its scabbard, the Ranger mulled over just what this rite could entail. The Rite of Victors, sounded military, probably involved pain and death, Holodrum had said something about having a lot to lose.
Hmm.

Menel couldn't stand it anymore. She couldn't stand the cave, the darkness, the not knowing what was going on. She stood up right in the middle of Elcris asking another question and she headed for the doorway.
Halfway there, Elcris grabbed her arm. "Hold it. You were told-"
"And I am going to tell you now. Let go of my arm, or you are going to lose that hand." Elcris stared at her in utter disbelief. "I said, let go of me."
He spoke softly and tried to calm her. "Menelfaroth, you have to remain here until Brêgion, Ethoner and the others come back. Anyone could be wandering out there."
"Well guess what? It was my leg that was injured. I don't use my legs to work my bow. I use my arms, and my arms are fine. Believe me, I can protect myself. I have been doing it for a long time." She stopped for a moment and her eyes flicked to Ainu. She sighed and said, "Look, you can check things out for us, and even stay out there with us. Please, just a few minutes in the sun, in the fresh air. Please." Menel was begging now, which she hated to do, but it was the only way she was going to get anywhere.
Elcris looked around and then sighed. He let go of her arm and said, "Alright. Urivalian and I will check it out, and if it is clear, then we will let you out for a little while. Those who are bad off will have to stay inside, but we will move them to places closer to the fresh air that will come in. But not that way." He signalled to one of the other elves and the two of them entered the storage area and moved a bunch of materials from in front of a second hidden door. This entrance was well hidden because the back of the cave was obscured by trees.
The rush of fresh air smelled so sweet and felt so good rushing over Menel as the rock was moved. Elcris turned and looked at her, and said with a wink, "You didn't really think we wouldn't make sure we had an escape route, did you?"
Menel laughed and stepped past him out into the beautiful daylight. She remained close to the door, but the trees were so thick, there was no way anyone would be able to see them standing there.

Finally!
Ainu nearly tripped over himself getting out into the fresh air, and took a deep breath once outside. He immediatly picked up on the birdsong, and it eased him. Turning to Menel, he flashed a smile.
"Very brilliant, lady," he said, "I dont think there is anyone alive who could stand up to you."
After a few moments he turned and went to the cave's entrance, leaning in.
"Galenfae, Gaeron, will you two come out for a moment? Or at least come nearer the opening-- the forest breath will do you well."

(OOC... siiigh stupid writers bloooock)

Galenfea scrambled up and helped Gaeron to his feet. He was just as keen as she was to get a sniff at the fresh air and a look at the sun, and did his best to walk on his own to get there. Unfortunately this ment that he reached the opening with his hands and knees even more scraped than they had been before.
Galenfea grinned broadly at Menel and bowed her head, "Hannon le, Hiril nin!" she breathed, conscious of the need for quiet, even though they were so well hidden here.

Earendel was listening to the opening of the door with much interest. She also knew if the overprotective Faron had his way she would not walk over there. She developed a plan.

She rolled back to her back and he was sitting there waiting for her to speek.So she did "I see its time for me to get up and get some fresh air." Even before she was done he was shaking his head. Earndel moved as if to sit up and Faron just as Earendel had assumed bent forward to stop her. Earendel used her good arm and pushed him sideways. His own movement helping her. In an instant he was on the ground and Earendel stood up. She reached for her sword even as Faron stood back up. He tried to take the sword from her. But the look on her face and the tone of her voice as she spoke stopped him"I never go anywhere without this. The last one to try last and take it way ended up needing 'medical help' "

At which she walked calmly over by the door. She stood quietly beside Gaeron enjoying both the light and the sweet fresh air. In the pit of her stomach she knew full well that Faron was right behind her. He words spoken softly in her earwhich did not help her composer "I see you are most definately a full blood elf to be that stubborn!" They both know his words would care a few feet. The rest of his comment was so quiet that Earendel herself almost missed it"I find stubbornness very attactive." Earendel blushed at the comment.

Earendel desided that best way to put a few inches between herself and Faron would be to sit down and look out the door, which she did. She was right Faron remained standing.

Faron looked at Elcris and whispered "You were right to with hold this as long as you could."
