I'm 14 and in 10th grade and took a collage class last year in math (the math at my school expect what I'm being tutored in is too easy)

Hi all. I'm 17, and this upcoming year will be my last of high school, or 12th grade, whatever you want to say^_^ I'm getting kind of nervous because i have absolutely no idea what i want to do or where i want to go to college and it seems like all my friends already know, and they're younger than me! I think i'll end up doing something involving math/chemistry seeing how i'm good at both. Yup that's all for me.

AHHHH i am confused! in america the grades are 1-12 before college and the average age for 12th grade is 18, in Nevada.
what about england ? like whats the diff?

anyway i am 13 and i am in 9th grade in HS.

Going to grade nine. Techincally, where I live, grade nine is *still* junior high, *but* I will be going to the high school for my grade nine education, as will all my class mates from grade eight.

Hope I don't get paddled or hazed.

I'm a 6th grader, or for British people, I'm-uhhh....-11 or 12 years old. Sorry about that too...I'm a Korean American and there is a 1 year of age difference. Ok...yeah....I'm an LOTR no. 1+++ fan.

i've only skimmed thru this topic and yall (southern US for "you all") are making me feel totally old. and i KNOW there are people here in CoE way older than me (chronologically, anyway) i am a whopping 27 and graduate from grad school in may '05. i am not sure if admitting i am a math major is a good thing or not...

I'm in 8th at an American school, though I'm taking two classes (Algebra 1 and French 1) a year before I'm supposed to. Next year I will be taking three adavanced classes French 2 (1 year ahead), Geomentry (1 year ahead), and Algebra 2 (2 years ahead). That's all the advanced classes my school offers. Also they give us choices between whether we want to take Chemistry or Biology, Geography or World History, ect. and then we have to take the other course the next year. I'm taking all of the hard ones next year. If this makes sense I want to have all the hard stuff out of my way so I can have fun the last two years of high school while everybody else is panicking over how much stuff they have to do.

I'm fourteen and in tenth grade. I skipped.

I just had to put in my schedule for next year...I'm seriously going to die. Four honors classes (that's half my schedule, mind; the rest is Latin IV, gym, chemistry, and journalism)--American Lit, American History, Advanced Algebra, and PreCalculus with Trigonometry-- plus ACT prep and probably a job. I'm seriously gonna die.

I'm 17, in the UK and am in year 13, so I'm off to university next year.

Unfortunately I'm the baby of the yeargroup as I skipped a year - I don't turn 18 til October. The worst bit of that is that I'll have to be sober during Freshers' Week because I'm baby-faced and nobody will serve me without ID! Bahhhh...

I'm doing four A levels (five if you count general studies, which no decent uni does, lol) - French, German, English lit and Philosophy and Ethics. More fool me, because it means I'm constantly drowning in work, and I cannot wait to give up English! I don't care if I never analyse another poem in my life!

Going to study philosophy at uni come October!

If I get my grades, that is...

I'm a boring Junior, 11th grader in the American School District system. Half the school year is gone and I'm going to be a 12th grader, a Senior. I just can't wait. :rolleyes:

I've only read one page of this thread and I'm already the granny of the page. I will be 49 in two days. I am a 1976 graduate of Drury High School. I attended Snow College in Ephraim. UT and College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, ID where I received my Associate of Arts Degree. I then attended Idaho State University where I graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Education with minors in History and Humanities. I have been teaching since 1992, 15 years now. As you can tell, if you do the math I didn't attend university after high school. I was 21 when I went back the first time and 30 something the second time. I did finish though and that after I married and had 1 child. She went with me to college as a four year old. We had to live away from her dad all week and only got to see him on weekends. So even if you don't go to college right after you graduate you can still do it.
Good luck to all of you scholars out there. BTW since then I have become certified as a librarian and have logged over 60 post-grad hours.
