Aragorn is my favorite. Although I liked him better when he was Strider. He was more ranger like, (reflecting my personality) and he was more secretive. I don't belive the people who boast about their strength are the strongest mentally and physically. It is the people who sit back and watch silently in the shadows who I deem the most respect.

Very very difficult question.
In the movies I love Aragorn and Legolas because they're hot. :heart: And I like Faramir and Celeborn. Merry and mostly Pippin are the best and Frodo starts anoying me.
In the books I like Frodo and Sam because of his loyalty. But mostly I like Gimli because he says these beautiful and funny things. I just love his character. I think Gimli will have to be my final answer.

I like Grima the best.I find him gorgeous.I also feel sorry for him.I also like Bilbo and the cute little baby Frodo-lad that Rose holds in the end. The baby is adorable.

Of the Fellowship: Pippin & Merry. Perfect and closest to the book. Merry's rather attractive too. Pippin has such a sweet voice.
Of Rohan: Eowyn. She was perfect and pretty!
Of Gondor: Faramir in RotK. *Sob* That mean old crone Denethor! One of my favorite parts in RotK-EE was the short romance between him and Eowyn
Of Isengard: Ugluk. But why did they change the orcs into cannibals?? That wasn't in the book. Read it and you'll find that was a horrible idea to the orcs, just as it would us.
Of Cirith Ungol: Gorbag. His voice is so snaky! He was terrific in the books, too (only I keep hearing Billy Boyd's voice). I felt so bad for him in the movie, because if you read the books, him and Shagrat were like buddies. Poor guy!
Of Mordor: The orc with the whip. He's the regular at my fanfiction cafe. For a guy with only one line in the theatrical version and a scarce handful of lines in RotK-EE (but pretty eyes and an almost cute face), he does pretty well for himself. Everyone else gets the 'good ol' writer's block the second I tap the keyboard.

Favorite overall character: The orc with the whip. Five on-line fanfictions plus some unposted stories and a romance between him and Rosie is a pretty big hint.

My favorite is Grima. After Grima, I like Bilbo, Pippin, and Gimli.It is a hard choice after Grima.

I mostly like Arwen,since she makes a GREAT sacrifice giving up her immortality to marry Aragorn,Saves Frodo from the Ringwraiths (on movie terms),And then I like Gandalf for his wisdom,his understanding,his powers...But anyway,all are great!

Gimli!!!!!!! I love the whole contest between him and legalos. It's hilarious. He can't quite keep up with him. But my all time favorite Gimli moment is when he sees merry and pippin "feastin and smokin" and he says "aww salty pork!" The way he says it just busts me up!

My favorite character in the movies is Faramir. After Faramir, I love Boromir, Éomer, Éowyn and Pippin.

In this order:
All the hobbits tie for first (however a little partial to pippin)
Gollum (he's MY precious!)
Gandalf, he reminds me of my grandfather.
and.......MAN....i cant decide....praise be to Tolkein for creating a story with so many characters, and with all of them so great in thier own ways.

Boromir is the number 1 greatest character in LOTR because he is a mortal man surrounded by all kinds of crazy stuff yet he still holds his own and kicks major ass all over middle-earth. Plus his death scene is the greatest in movie history. In my opinion...

Éomer, definitely. He looked just as I've always imagined him from the books *hmmmhhh*... A shame that he didn't get the screen time he deserved.

LOL! I forgot about that comment. Yeah, I found out about him a few days afterward. I'm not much of Haradrim fan, so I didn't think much of it since then.

Galadriel, no doubt about it. Oh, and Legzy for his looks. But he doesn't know how to do archery properly. That annoys me, makes many elsewise good scenes a laugh.

I love his wisdom, strong.. anway his whole good charakter.

#1: would have to be Farimir, he just is so good on horseback and everything he owns them enimies!
#2 would have to be Lurtz, he's very good with the bow for a mutiated monster .

I wonder what would happen if Farimir and Lurtz came face-to-face, i mean Lurtz did kill his brother!!!

Aragorn is my absolute favorite. But there is also Haldir, Legoals, Gandalf, and Eowyn. I like mostly all of them for different reasons.

I love all the hobbits, being a wee bit partial to Frodo( well, I guess that's obvious by now). Poor guy, the torture and the pain................

And then, I pretty much like all the good guys including Eowyn(that girl can fight so well ).......

Lurtz all the way because he is tough...at least up until he gets his head cut off. Lurtz or Gimli cuz he is the epitome of the dwarven stereotype

Sam is my favorite character... he's loyal and optimistic (well, mostly). He also gets grief from others for having a violent temper that occasionally flares up and makes him do something really rash...and that I can well relate to.

Also quite partial to Eowyn (girl power! ) and Faramir, and Merry ( :love: ) and Pip.
