All right, if anyone is as obsessed with Harry Potter as I am (I've read the first three books about 20 times each, GoF about 8, OotP about 5 or 6, and the new one twice), you are wondering about the 7th book. I have a theory that I think is pretty relevant.

Ok here goes...Do you all remember in the 5th book when Sirius showed Harry his family tree tapestry? He said that his brother Regulus was killed by Voldemort. And you all remember the fake Horcrux, right? My thought is that Regulus took the Horcrux and got rid of it before Voldemirt murdered him. I think that because of the initials "RAB" were in the locket, and those could be Sirius' brother's, right?

Well, that is my thought. Let me know yours, whether it be similar to mine or something completely different!!! ~Dinenlasse~

I agree and so do a lot of other people.

I believe we discussed this topic a long, long time ago. Or perhaps it was somewhere else.

Alan Rickman has been cast as Aberforth Dumbledore.

And Tony Maudsley was confirmed as Grawp.

Yes.

That confirms for us (as it wasn't already) that the barman at the Hog's Head is Aberforth Dumbledore.

This obviously means they are meeting at the Hog's Head for the DA. They have also been filming the centuars and the Inqustiturial Squad scenes with the DA in Umbridge's office.

Am getting rather excited now! I really hope they keep the scene with Fred, George and Peeves in. I think that's one I'm most looking forward to.

So far, all I know is they were filming the fireworks.

I really am the most excited I've ever been!

Yes, yes. "Give her [heck] for us, Peeves" was the best line in the entire book. I will protest it being cut.

Has this been confirmed, because it doesn't sound right. Alan Rickman plays Snape, so why is he playing Aberforth Dumbledore.

Trivia: The carpet in Proffesor Umbridge's office cost £50,000 to make

That's what I was thinking but I'm sure I've seen an actor play more than one character before, so it is possible. Though I am glad he isn't! He makes a wonderful Snape!

Yes, he does.

Sorry again about the confusion, guys.

I was really tired when I wrote that.

So, since we're on that topic....aren't you all glad Radcliffe won't be playing James too?

Yes! Snape's Worst Memory is one scene I'm longing to see! I think in a series like this new actors should be cast for every new character. It makes everyone all so fresh and individual, if that makes sense.

It does.

From what I remember they've cast Lily, Pettigrew, James, and Snape.

I could, of course, be wrong.

*Goes to look at confirmed*

Image

That's Susie Shinner, or Lily.

That's Robbie Jarvis who'll play James.

Charles Hughes will play young Peter Pettigrew, but I could find no picture.

Unconfirmed:

Stuart Hastings...might be Lupin.

I didn't think it sounded right, but that's cool. We all make mistakes.

Thanks for the pictures, I think I saw one for the guy who is to play sirius as well, but I'm not sure where. There not bad choices, but then I'm just glad that it isn't radcliffe.

Yes, that would be weird.

But hey, if they were on a budget....but they're not and that's what matters.

I think HP is one of the film that is least likely to have a budget, which makes it all the better for us....but then look at what Peter Jackson did with Lord of the rings on a budget.

I'm a little weary of the one playing lily, she looks alittle old.

This may sound weird, but I want to see Harry and Cho's first date. Don't ask me why because I'm not even sure myself. I'm also looking forward to the inside of the Department of Mysteries.

The Occlumency lessons with Professor Snape and Harry as well as the Pensieve scene. Poor Severus!
I'm also looking forward to seeing the young Marauders, especially Lily.

The climax too, of course, with the showdown between Dumbledore and Voldemort.

Order of the Phoenix is my favourite Harry Potter book, so I am especially looking forward to seeing this movie.

They better not shout Avada Kedvra when he dies, or else it'll ruin the whole point of the veil.

That might be where the final showdown is, makes sense in a way.

They have made some casting changes to OoTP that you might want to see here.

Also it's fun to come up with theories and read rumors and such about what's going to happen in the final book. So check out this page for some rumors, facts, or theories...

Ahhhh, LadyC, I was just looking at your first link when I saw your post!
I'm glad to see Helena Bonham Carter playing Bellatrix Lestrange. I really think she'll do a wonderful job.

heya! i don't know if this has been asked before, cause i haven't looked through the whole thread... but i was just wondering...

i like looking ahead for clues about the seventh book, and i've found a few (leaky cauldron, mugglenet, veritaserum...) which are really ace. but on the official jk rowling site people ask all sorts of questions about "the pyramids of furtaf (maybe)" and "the green flame", and they're obviously legitimate clues, because jk rowling goes into more (but not enough!) detail about them. but i can't find out where the readers find clues like this in the first place!

so i was wondering if anyone was a keen harry potter spy who knew good sites to find out plausible rumours and hints to the next book? i get so excited!

also for reference, there's an ace interview with jk rowling about book 7 on both mugglenet.com and the-leaky-caludron.org Just for those interested. but you probably already knew about that anyway...
