Of course there are a lot of people here who read the Sil . Most of the people on this site are real LoTR-freaks, so it would be a shame if they hadn't read or at least hadn't try to read the Sil .
Make yourself comfortable and enjoy the site, if you like talking about the books, perhaps a trip to the bookforum is a good idea.

hello! My friends call me Elbereth (don't ask how I got that nick, long story, heh...)
I'm from Rijeka, Croatia and I'm 15 years old...In LotR i like the Elves the most, their looks, their language...:love: I'm crazy, am I? heh...

Hi! I'm Lindariel89 (aka Carie). I'm 19, going on 20 and I'm from the USA. I've been on her for a bit but haven't introduced myself yet... I've only recently become interested in LotR, but immediately fell in love with it when I re-watched the movies a few weeks ago. I'm attempting to learn Sindarin and I'm very interested in the history of Middle Earth and the like. Well, that's it for now... If you want to know anything else, feel free to message me!

Hi! I'm Gliriel, and am 13 years old. I live in Australia (but would rather live in Middle Earth, of course). I am completely LOTR-obsessed (books and movies, but especially books) and am keen to learn all the languages of Middle Earth (especially Sindarin and Quenya). My other LOTR-obsessed friend told me about this site. I am hoping to be fluent in every one of Tolkien's languages one day...

Hello everyone, my name is Marianna or Mari, whichever you like better. I'm 18 and I live in Tennessee. In my quest to find people as obssessed with Tolkien's work as I am, I happily stumbled onto this site and have been haunting it for quite a while, a little too nervous to get an account. Hello! Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself to all of you here.
My name is Michelle (Mamberueth is my name translated into Sindarin, which is why I chose it as a username ) I'm 15, and I'm from Canada. I like music, I mostly listen to rock, but I like all kinds of music. I love to draw fantasy art and I would like to try to draw the LOTR characters one day lol. I like singing and have a big interest in everything mystical. I also like learning new languages, like Elvish (I found this site by searching for "How to speak Elvish"). I haven't read all of the books yet, but I finally got my hands on a copy of the first book. It seems as if whenever I want the book, no one has them.
I have seen the movies though and I love the fantasy world that Tolkien created. Especially the Elves...and Legolas

I'm actually finishing the first book of LotR and it's awesome, I don't know why I didn't read it earlier, well I supose because I'm too lazy XD.

You have indeed landed on a site full of Tolkien Fans of all ages. I know Gondolinian, mod of this forum, will have more to say but I'd like to recommend at least two forums/threads you may find interesting places to investigate.

One, the Fans over Forty, you will find here and also the Realms (check 'Community' on the left hand menu), somewhat like small individual neighborhoods in a large city.

Meanwhile, enjoy and carry on!

Hi all. My name on here is ment to be ILoveLegolasHesMine but i made a typing error. People can call me whatever they want, solong as it's not mean as i have been bullied for many years. I live in Swindon, Engaland. I play football and have been a fan of LOTR ever since it came out on film. recently i have started reading the third book having finished the first two. I'm sorry to hear you've had trouble with bullying. I have found that the people here are very nice and considerate.

For a Legolas avatar, you can go to "My Account", then "Upload Avatar", and then "General Pool". There's a pile of avatars there you can use, and they're in alphabetical order so you can look under L.
